- Ellen's favorite beauty expert Kym Douglas was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year, and before her last round of chemotherapy, Kym stopped by to talk with Ellen about her journey. As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Ellen had a big surprise for Kym, thanks to Ulta Beauty.

I finished chemo in June, I had stage 2 colon cancer.. like u say I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. The worst part of all was seeing my children hurt & scared for me. I pray for anyone & kym going through this.. laughter, love & God got me through it.. God bless all 🙏🏼🙌🏻😊

1) Hunter is FINE.......... 2) Cancer is awful, and Chemo may be even worse.... I'm a cancer survivor and this just hits very close to home..... It takes a very strong person to go through what she's going through.... I will definitely be thinking of her on the 22nd.

Ellen laughter is the best medicine like she said. While I was going through cancer, I made sure I watched Comedy on TV constantly. Laughter is such a healer:) that was in 1998:) Healthy Survivor :) and sending prayers to Kym on Oct. 22 and up until that day.

I totally understand and relate I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer on June 8. I too have no history of breast cancer in my family and it was found during a routine exam. I am lucky enough that I don’t have to have chemo but i do have to have a mastectomy very soon. I just wanted to say thank you for opening up about what is happening to you and last thank you Ellen for the donation .❤️
She's literally one of the favorite people who frequently appear on Ellen. She's so full of life and is such an amazing sport every time. It literally broke my heart to see her like this. She's so strong and I pray she heals.

Wow. Having gotten just so much good energy and happiness from Kym's and Ellen's work, I am really sorry to hear that. Crying right now. Hopefully she'll get through this, my aunt is a cancer survivor for several years now.

That is sweet of ellen. I am battling terminal cancer. I been battling for 12 years. Mine was stage 3 with in a few months of chemo it spread and went terminal my dr gave me a year to live. Telling my 3 teenagers there only parent is going to past away like there memaw did was the hardest thing in life. To everyone who is battling like me dont stop fighting keep pushing and keep postive and find support groups or family.

What a beautiful story ... I’ve recently gone through a double mastectomy and am now finished with chemo. I wish I would have known about the cold caps. This 39 year old man is just crying after seeing this video and listening to her talk about what she is going through. Cancer sucks! My father died of cancer last August about a week before my mothers birthday. The chemo and radiation was so hard on his body that there were days that he didn’t get out of bed. It was soooo painful to watch a love one suffer. My poor mom didn’t want to celebrate her birthday last year. But we had a small surprise party for her to try to get her mind off of the list of her best friend. kym, thank you for sharing your story with the world!!!
