Hi Nick. My visit to Shiraz totally changed my perception about Iran which what media is trying us to believe. I am lucky enough to experience the beauty of real Iran and its people.
Yes, western news media hate totalitarian systems, but often forget to write about what is positive. Iran has lousy leaders but that's true for most countries.

Thank you so much for showing Iran for what it truly is, a country of security, kind people, and rich culture. I am a Canadian raised by two Iranian immigrant parents, and I have visited Iran every single year since I was born. Iran is definitely a country everyone should visited and people shouldn't be bothered by the picture painted by the US government. I have done my fair share of traveling being only 20 years old and have been to many countries, I can honestly say I've been more scared at night in Paris while travelling than I had ever visiting Iran. This is not to say that Iran doesn't hold dangerous areas or that you won't run into any problems but it's important to understand that having your wits and being attentive travelling anywhere in the world you will be fine. I have had scarier moments in my own hometown in Toronto than in Tehran! Go visit Iran already its beautiful! Thanks Again Nick, I never had seen your channel before your Iran series came on my timeline and I now am a subscribers and love your content! Also I never comment on youtube videos but I felt compelled by your beautiful series on Iran.
I have been to Iran 2 years ago and it's an amazing country, very safe and very beautiful. People is better educated than in lots of coutry I have visited, for sure better educated than USA. I met lot of people who talked to me freely about the Government, the problems in Iran but even the beauty of the places and historical sites. Unfortunately Western Media talks about Iran only to tell bad news but behind the bad news there is a colourful, cultivated and smiling country. Very reccomended to go there.

I visit iran almost every year to meet my family there. Honestly, Iran is unlike other the tradition and its culture is so pleasing. As an teenage Iranian living in Australia i do sometime wish I lived there permanently. Like Ali said in the video, Iran is 100% safe. In all my years of travelling to iran for the last 7 years i have not yet dealt with any dangers or safety issues. The people of Iran are so friendly and respectful. As an Iranian visiting iran i am treated with so much respect. So there is no doubt that a tourist will be treated much better as you are considered their guests. If you guys ever plan on visiting Iran please do so. It will be a time youll never forget.

Don’t forget to video your trip. As an Iranian raised outside of Iran for the past 40 years since I was a little kid I enjoy watching travelers vlog so much. I’ll go to Iran one day only to visit but after this brutal regime is gone for good by the people. I hope there won’t be any war cause that’s going to unite all of us to save the motherland. With every brutal government only native people should change. Any outside interference will create more disasters.
What a stunning series . The videos you have been producing on Iran have been by far the best yet and I have seen all of your videos !!!! Keep up the good work from a fellow Kiwi !!
The people of Iran have always been talked about as very friendly and welcoming. The US/UK media do not show that aspect of the country, as their political masters have an agenda to pursue.
Congratulations Nick you've changed the way I perceive Iran, this is a win win situation ,good for tourists and Iran. I hope many will observe and share Your honest and forthrightness approach . This is why I fell in love with Indigo Traveler to begin with , keep up the fascinating work.
I have never considered Iran as a place to visit, but thanks to your excellent videos it's now right at the top of my bucket list! Thanks Nick, awesome stuff as always!
Don´t believe the media? I never read bad things about Iran in the Danish papers, I do read crap about what their government does abroad and it´s somewhat questionable oppression at home, Iran is however very much a "functioning" country in most aspects, can´t recall a bad article about Iranians in the papers here. Actually most sad things I read in the papers are related to the US, obesity, universal healthcare shortage, poverty, crime/murder and whatnot ... and all the ridiculous lawsuits.
As and Iranian yes you're right it is only our government that fuels this hatred and wants to show that Iranians wants war with west, while only 10% of people are the people of the Iran government and 90% want free Iran and friendship with others. I say 90% because in the last election 70% voted for reformist and they had no other choices (this is how dictatorship of Iran works). if there was a secular choice they would vote for him or her. Just conservative shia muslim can have a important job in Iran. and between those 30% percent 20% are veeeery poor and brain washed by the Iran's government media. so 10% have the money, power, media, best countries passports, and etc. they live in the best countries and Iran is their ground for their game! it might be interesting to you all of the children of those 10% live in west and they are super rich while their fathers are mullas or mullas with suits and saying death to west!.
The Spark Seriously, why do all people talk about how Iran is portrayed by the media? Do the media in their countries say that Iranian people are evil? I’m from Greece and I’ve only read bad things about the Iranian government, not their people. Pretty much the same thing as with Saudi Arabia. Are Saudis portrayed as the good guys in the US?
Your description of the Iranian government is putting it very mildly. Iran has a track record of holding innocent foreign prisoners in prison and using them as diplomatic leverage. Google Nazanin Radcliffe for one recent notable example.
Let's appreciate Nick for being so nice amzing and wonderful .he gave respect to each person he spoke and in return he was welcomed with open hearts...give respect and take respect...
It could have been one of the best countries the world ever seen if it wasnt ruined by muslim. Incase a jackass would surely comment: Iranians have been muslims since along time ago, well guess what? Most of the progress they made throughout history was made by their non religious leaders who didnt follow islamic rules. just look at what they were 50 years ago and the empire they had and their culture before islam rape them.
Not to take anything away from Iran...Heres another example of the astounding beauty mother Earth provides us with.th-cam.com/video/SQ6p2J0piRw/w-d-xo.html
I’m Arab, and this is the first time I see what’s inside Iran . I noticed how there accent, clothes, streets, and the food are similar to Indians . Wow I’ve never know this
Well. This video only showed BandarAbbas city and one of its islands, Hormoz. The culture of this city has a lot of similarities to Indian culture(cuisine, clothing, accent, warmness, music, weddings, and even looks!). Idk maybe that's because of its hot, warm, tropical weather or because of Indian migrants who came here to serve the British forces here. This city is very UNIQUE in Iran. I am from BandarAbbas and I admit what you say.
I enjoyed your video. I have never been to Iran, but I have met dozens of Iranian students in my role as an international student advisor at an American university. My impression is that they are some of the most generous and warm-hearted people I have met. It's a shame we can't have more mutual understanding.
This was a truly wonderful video. The shop owner, Ali, seemed like such a nice and intelligent guy. What I take from all the videos I've seen where tourists have spent time in countries like Iran and Pakistan, is that at the end of the day, there's good people and there's bad people. That goes for every race on this planet. Clearly there's many more good people in these countries, such as Iran here, and the bad are just a minority. To all these good people in every country in the world, no matter what religion you follow, or if you don't follow any religion at all, I and many others wish you nothing but the best in your lives.
Incredible interaction with the shop owner. Can't really explain why, but it give's me a bit of faith in humanity seeing people like him. Also - I kinda missed Hamid .
Hamid seemed like he might have been Gay. He should have been asked if he felt safe there, as many Gays have been publically executed in Iran, and it is NOT just the mainstream media saying that.

you do not respect gays or jews or women, fuck off.
@@HashiAkitaPuppy How do you Know? Also, to be respected, you have to respect them as well. I agree that women are not always respected and safe, but where have you seen women be 100 % safe . As for the other two, a person's ethnicity and sexual orientation is a personal thing , so what's that got to do with traveling a country( just don't reveal them)? Do all countries in the world respect them? Lastly, if you are going to say obscene words, keep in mind that I'm a woman and you would be disrespecting me; otherwise, you are contradicting yourself. ;)

I'm from Canada, but I've come across so many intelligent people from Iran. It's amazing how well educated they are.
I’d much rather someone from Iran immigrate to my country than someone from India.
that's the saddest thing, we have a shit ton of engineers, physicians, scientists and scholars but no jobs or appreciation for any of them, so what do they do? they end up leaving the country. the stereotype of the engineer driving a taxi is very true for Persians, just a sad reality.
Paulie its because of this visa bullshit. My uncle is a NEURO SURGEON, but right now he’s an Uber driver in Canada, because of this idk citizen visa bullshit.
@Paulie ??? You need intelligence to make it far in education, hence why the higher the IQ the more advanced the academics. You can be intelligent and not go to school, but you can't be dumb and get a phd.

Sure. A wonderful country that abuses human rights on a daily basis and oppresses it's citizens. Also, executes whoever opposes the regim.
it's no surprise that travellers like you are amongst the most humble and down to earth people. you see a lot of different nations and cultures and yet find out that all of them connects you as if it's a part of you as a human. you come across a lot of different languages but it doesn't act as an obstacle because the language of love and kindness and friendship is global and powerful and you don't feel lost in other countries. with seeing all of this you truly realize that we're all same we're all one family one nation. we're all human. those who travel most hate less. traveling is really a character building experience. and I think it's crucial for all people. love you from Iran

Bullshit, stop spreading the propaganda you are force fed by our government. The gov't of iran is democratically elected, the U.S. has no right to decide the direction of a sovereign nation, only the people who live there do.
Then Danish media is the only media outlet that tells the truth :-)
In the USA Iran in the media might as well be a terrorist filled evil place. Unfortunately of course. I would love to visit Iran.
I've never seen such mineral rich soil as this one!!
It's insane!
Hence why they want Iran so bad! They are still mineral rich!
Hormoz island is called "the paradise of the world geologists". There are 72 types of soils with different colours there.
Iran was fucked up by its leaders after 1950!!!
It could have even surpassed Israel at this point if it weren't for Islam and stupid leaders

All around the south coast of iran full of these Portuguese castles 😂🤦
It is not similar to indians. It is very advanced and old civilization
Yea persians infiltrated india a few thousand years ago ofc they developed our culture over time. A great deal of urdu contains persian vocabulary
Iran is now on my bucket list.
