it's really interesting seeing the huge difference between casual and competitive opinions on the tracks in this game! i could never imagine sinking as much time into this game as yall do for some of these opinions to matter to me - electrodrome for example, i think the 200cc shortcut is one of the coolest shortcuts in any mk game, but if i had to sink as much time into it as yall do then i would absolutely go insane and start hating it same as you, but that difference in perspective made this an interesting watch! you did bring up one thing that majorly swayed my opinion on a track though:

While I disagree with a bunch of placements, this list is actually different then the majority of lists where you know what's going where going in, prolly due to you playing competitive, and it's great. Plus it reflects my own personal opinion more then the majority of lists too. Just being able to see something other then 3DS Rainbow Road in #1 is so refreshing. Plus thank you for giving the cities the respect they deserve, those tracks are so dang overhated. Plus, your validation for every track with your opinions make me respect even the picks I disagree with.
Also shoutouts for giving Alpine Pass the hate it deserves!
Likewise with Wah Pinball's adaptation- It doesn't add anything, and it didn't even get a unique remix. I like the concept, but it isn't much better.
I dont think this ranking have something with competitive, is just that people have differents opinions
@@Sam-tl4ho I'm pretty sure being competitive does change someone's ranking, since you just have a different perspective on the game as a whole.

There are quite a few placements in this list that I disagree with, but I respect your opinions on them. Was still entertaining to hear your thoughts on all the tracks regardless! It's refreshing to hear opinions from someone that plays all modes competitively.
its always fun seeing competitive players talk about a game i play casually cause its not like im completely lost but i dont fully understand either
While I have completely different placements basically across the board, I respect the focus on competitive play for this list, since my placements are purely how much I enjoy them casually, so naturally it will be very different. Great video!

The thing I like about your list compared to others is how you incorporate how fun the track is to play online along with music and visuals
*like I definitely agree with N64 Rainbow Road's placement if you start in the back or get hit once your race is just over, which is so frustrating, but to everyone else it's just seen as "the Rainbow Road from my childhood therefore its one of the best"*
Finally MK8 Rainbow Road gets some love. Everyone always complains about the space station aesthetic and I'm just saying that makes it stand out. It's the only RR like that! And I may be a filthy casual but I still have a lot of fun driving on it. :B
Putting RRW at #80 and RRU at #2 along with bTB at #11 is so incredibly based

I once heard someone a year or so back say this about Ninja Hideaway: "It's basically as if someone made a MKWii CTGP track, Nintendo found it and then polished it to be in HD definition". And I'd say that is about as fitting/great a thing as you could ever say about that track.

I loved this video and I was so impressed you managed to fit 96 tracks into 27 minutes! I love the gameplay of each track, your opinion and the background music. 10/10 video. Also, as someone who hasn't seen most of these tracks, it was really cool to see all of them for the first time!
I'm in an Esports club at my school and I do Mario Kart Time Trials, and playing Electrodrome 150cc made me wanna jump off a building. Luckily, Rainbow Road was the very next track I had to play so I am still sane.

As a definite casual player, I found this video really interesting as I don’t see many rankings from a competitive standpoint.
For example, I am a Wii Rainbow Road fan but I understand how it might not work in a competitive field, and that’s cool!
Tho 3DS Rainbow Road being 6th still makes me unreasonably happy-
i never saw how wii rainbow road was buggy in this game except for i guess the shortcuts that were unintended, but other than that there are tracks that are way more buggy, but thats your opinion and i respect that

One question - you say learning rMMM 200cc was some of your favorite memories in the game... but you rated it 1/10 for 200cc TT??? Was it fun *despite* the track? “I think this is my first real hot take” says the guy who literally just put Excitebike Arena two entries earlier.
excitebike is probably the second most split track in the game after baby park, i don't see as strong of an opinion on it usually as most just say "yeah it exists it's good" for those who do not dislike it
meanwhile i feel the real hot take here is having wii rainbow road, which is very often a contender for best track ever (and if not, usually upper 25%), at 80th in the bottom 25%. both pinball and excitebike are cold compared to that, especially since pinball is already getting lots of "pinball overrated and mid" pushback
This list made me scream a lot less then most people’s you don’t hate bone dry dunes and have no real reason for it (yes it’s not the best track but it gets to much hate) you put baby park down in the dumps and you call Wii rainbow road and waluigi pinball overrated I agree with this stuff, so thank you oh and you don’t have bias towards other Wii tracks, thank you

I disagree with so many things on this list but seeing that we have the same top two makes up for it.
