Best advice is getting a binary Crit from Moxxie then go boss farming. As no matter the vault hunter you choose, you'll be able to obliterate an boss to farm their legendary drops. Especially Katagawa Jr as mayhem scaling on Mayhem 11 has him being a freaking pushover to farm a Sandhawk of all the elements. Then continue slaying bosses to get all your gear. Also farming the Diamond loot room as pretty much everyone has exploited the mail interaction to have ridiculous amounts of Diamond keys.
Yeah, getting the binary crit is great! And it really does shred for early boss farming. I totally forgot about the loot room as I never exploited the keys and don't have many lol but that is a great gear up strategy 100%
I dunno man. Getting rid of a lucky 7 for a boomer is not ideal. Especially on Flak Also getting a crit from moxxi is the best use of money early on. You can also buy back weapons for what you sold them for so accidentally selling things isn't a big deal. you also dont need to save/quit to enable mayhem you can just apply it and itll reload automatically. Yeah i dunno about this one
I just finally got back around to playing this game. Is it best to just speed run the campaign and then reroll a character max.level and then do all the boss hunting?
It depends on what you're looking for. Taking the story slow is fun, but if you want to, gear up a character, I would recommend speeding through and farming later. As you can, then put mayhem mode on and get gear at higher levels.
@PrimitiveNomad I did multiple playthroughs of 2 and presequel and I really love doing all the boss fights at max level/vault hunter mode, so when you get the legendary stuff. You don't level out of it. Then while farming you can respec/gear to try new stuff out
Sometimes, you need to go into the promotions tab on the bottom left of the screen, then back out, and it should appear. It can be buggy but play around in the menu and it eventually will appear

Weirdly I don’t get the new game max level option and I’ve finished the game on normal. Doesn’t work on normal or TVHM either? What am I doing wrong??
