    Gary was/is still my favourite player. I saw him once with Thin Lizzy at the old Hammersmith Odeon in London in the late 70's. He was such a soulful player. You did a great job of this classic Mr Cordy. Well done 👍

    Well played, Sir! Tastefully done! And that tone, I especially love how the fifth fret A rings out (at around 01:42) and how the harmonic content shifts as the note decays. So dynamic a tone that it has the least chance to sound the same twice yet compressed enough to sound even and big and creamy. Which could be the definition of an oxymoron. It goes to show that most of the words guitarists use to describe tone don't really mean anything! And Again, Masterfully done Sir!

    Loving the Axis Sport! My number one guitar is an Axis Sport HSS in the same color. Traded out the black pickguard for a clear one to let the wood grain show through.

    Everytime I hear a EBMM axis i am so glad i bought a few set's of those Custom wound Dimarzio Pu's in them!
    They were not cheap and you can only get them from a EBMM guitar but they are really unique.
    Hands down one of my all time favorite bridge pu's and the neck is really good as well.
    Hard to believe these were designed for Eddie Van Halen originally.

    A great rendition Mr Cordy, your bends and vibrato are spot on. I was lucky enough to see Gary play in the 80s, and even Phil joined him for the encore. I was even luckier to be allowed to have a quick noodle on his white Charvel, it was a lovely guitar.

    Ive been seeing other pod go users say that there is noticable tone suck and you should use a buffer before the input to counter this. Have you noticed anything of the sort with your unit?

    • @johnnathancordy
      @johnnathancordy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For my use case, I'm not going in front of an amp or anything so that's not been something I've noticed at all?

    • @paulschlachter4313
      @paulschlachter4313 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johnnathancordy The relevant input impedance is the one of the unit you plug your guitar in. The amout of the resonant frequency of the pickup depends on it which is audible in the definition / prominence of the attack and overall upper midrange.
      The input impedance of the PodGo was reported by some to be lower 1MOhm which some percieve as "tone suck".

    • @johnnathancordy
      @johnnathancordy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@paulschlachter4313 right yeh I get that, but unless I was bypassing the Pod Go in front of something I wouldn't be in a situation where I'd be comparing the tone without a pod go with the tone of a bypassed Pod Go?

    • @paulschlachter4313
      @paulschlachter4313 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johnnathancordy The comparison would be PodGo vs i.e. HX Stomp or PodGo with a tuner in front, I guess.

As much as I appreciate the patches and gear reviews, your time should be spent on recording original music (or original versions of existing music) with musicians of your caliber.
