ngl Microsoft took a big step with 2024. once the bugs get sorted out and they update the maps to modern ones (i noticed they are using 2015 bing maps) this game will be the king for the next 15 years like FSX! cant wait for the future
Can’t be 2015 maps as I can see my neighbors red truck in his driveway yet he moved in around 2020. I do agree though this game is going to be very solid once the small bugs and kinks get worked out. Having a lot of fun on it so far.
@@nathanatkisson528 Don't get the citation, you don't get any missions for it. I have it and no VIP missions are generated for the PC12, CJ4 or Citation
Jeff I have been watching your videos for a few years and this one is by far the most exciting for me personally. C02 is Grand Geneva Resort and Spa in Lake Geneva, WI. I work on the resort grounds crew and have seen many planes come in and out. Unfortunately the airport has been removed since earlier this fall to make room for another golf course. Definitely recommend reading up on the history of Grand Geneva and the airport on property. You’ll be surprised with what it all entails. As always, fantastic video! Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
I was so excited for the missions in this game, from life flight, to firefighting, to hoisting. I was not prepared to have to get my licenses for each stage of missions, the first license was fine. But now I’m having trouble just trimming the plane, haven’t begun learning the rest, seems like a lot with my tiny Logitech joystick.
The game is actually quite great, everyone needs to calm down about launch day, it’s not that big a deal. Career mode is really addicting, sure there are bugs, but they’ll get fixed. For a game no one expected before its announcement people are holding them to a really high standard. And if you’re already on GamePass it’s essentially free.
Once you get a Caravan the money starts to pour in. I'm a level 91 with a reputation level of S and I make between $800k to $1.1m per run with the 208. Just make sure you do the fuel trick on some of those longer hauls since the EFB fuel system is broken right now.
Can't wait to see a video on doing a special job for research and your flying towards a funnel cloud. That is going to be an interesting video. Planes and tornadoes Jeff's top 2 things he loves.
Not just saying it to say it; Im enjoy the flight sim content I learn something every time One day ive gotta get a pilots license like you man. Keep it up jeff!
I used to work at that property where the Airport is, It's been ripped out as of early this summer. There was never a flight crew there either, it was just a fly in for people that wanted to either stay at the resort or eat dinner.
Can't get enough of the career mode. Thank you for continuing to Showcase it Jeff. Did my first VIP flight in the 172 (Which was funny as a "VIP" trip lol) and had a lot of fun with it. Keep up the great work sir. Also wouldn't mind seeing the mini series of training. I did the trainings myself already but would be great to see someone elses input on them
Jeff, I'm not a TBM person either, so when you crossed 10k with "so we didn't pick up any bugs or nonsense on the way out of Washington there..." - for a split second I thought we were concerned with bug debris in the cowling! 😄
Shout out from Wisconsin. My favorite small airport is 02C which is about five miles from where I live. Also love your content. Especially whenever you do face cam and I get to see your face when you get surprised
Can they not record voice actors for the extremely limited mission dialogue, FFS? Hell, crowdsource it and accept user submitted recordings. They could get them for FREE. This can’t be real… captain?
Been a joy watching you progress through career mode, Jeff. At the end where you mention possibly going through the training…. One thing I am curious about (demonstrated again with the TBM here) is your thought processes when jumping into an unfamiliar aircraft, powering it up, and getting up into the air. For me it takes a lot of familiarization and the lack of confidence with planes I don’t usually fly causes me to ignore certain missions due to aircraft type.
Make sure you don't do any free flights, unless you want your career rep to tank. Goofed around in free flight, ended the flight, just for the sim to start loading HQ, rep score went from S to C.
Hey Jeff, really enjoying your videos on FS24 so far! Just wondering if you do any videos about your current sim setup and what you're using in terms of yoke and stuff like that during these videos.
A video on the trainings would be interesting to me because I've gone through them all so far, but it would be nice to see from the perspective of someone who knows what they're doing, haha.
I purchased the T.Flight Hotas One MSFS edition. Please do a tutorial on setting up the buttons. Also, a tutorial on how to line up and land manually. Thanks.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think in the ATC window there is an intercom tab that you can use to talk to the passengers. Might be something in there to do that doesn't pop up in the 'Mission Steps' window that could increase satisfaction.
So I had a VIP trip that was funny. I had to take them from Vancouver Canada to Revelstoke BC, over the Rockies with peaks at 10000 feet with a Cessna. It did not give me a weather warning. Let's just say the plane froze up and we all died. Lol😢😅
Awesome video. And I'd love to see a series on the tutorial/intro part of the game so that I can improve on those skills and get a better grade on them as well lol.
I just hit lvl 50 and it was a grind. I’ve also seen so many misspelled words in the subtitles it’s actually really sad they can’t look over spelling before they publish a game…
tbm was my favorite aircraft for the carrer of msfs2020. for the passenger satisfactory . i think you have to talk to them during the flight . but it only work for me during the first yellow mission.
I would love to see a video about the high performance rating. Specifically would love to learn the Bonanza G36 as I had a mission that required me to fly up to 17000 and I couldn’t get plane to climb and barely got it to reach 16500 before immediately stalling and falling 16000 ft very rapidly… anyway love the videos!!
Watching a few of these videos has convinced me NOT to buy this!! haha The computer voices, the goofy scripts and repeat lines. The "passenger" says the same thing here as the one where they're flying in the S Pacific version! haha
I wish I could have continued my flight training after my Private Pilot Certification, but I never went on to get my instrument rating. And sadly, I am no longer current. My knowledge of IFR procedures is lacking. I can intercept ILS approaches all day long, but SIDs, STARs, RNAV approaches, etc are all greek to me.
Is there a way to get rid of the tablet in the middle of most aircraft front windows? Some places it's just in the middle and in the way. It lights up yellow for the base but when clicking it, it does nothing.
Almost have all my certifications just gonna do jet airliner which is kinda difficult since I’m use to the really small planes and I’m also on controller.
Yo! Great vid. Been thinking about starting a Channel for the rotor side holding a commercial cert through the military already. If it is a three hour flight, do you have to sit there for all three hours or can you like speed it up until you’re like 10 minutes away from the runway
I want to play this game so bad, but the button layouts are garbage for the Xbox and i can't seem to get a good zoom function to work so I can't see the displays and gauges. I can do outside view but it's not the same

The maps in our area I estimate to being around July 2021 based on house build stage.
Not hard to be the king if you're the only one in the room, sure other flight Sims are out there but most people don't even know they exist lol.
Apparently you can use the map replacement mod in 2024 (haven’t tried it yet)
Having the ability to download all the sources will definitely fix the issue because many issues of this sim are blurry and unloaded textures.

What not to say before takeoff: “I’m not a TBM person, I don’t know how to fly the TBM very well.”
I'm actually enjoying career mode a lot more than I thought I would, kind of reminds me of the missions from FSX but more polished.
More polished? What are you smoking mate 😂
I broke down and went cargo like you did. Got tired of sightseeing and first flights. Now working on saving up for a Cessna Citation

I do like that you have to actually taxi to parking instead of OnAir/Neofly allowing you to shut down on the runway.
wish it let you do that, at least itd save 10 minutes of taxiing to nowhere most times.
I'm also noticing on my flights, some of the doors are left open once the passengers board. Hope that gets sorted soon
