- We are Back at the Miller HQ to do a little DIY fabrication project. Jordan will me using pulse MIG to weld a metal table you can use for welding and fabricating. First we do the lay out then we torch cut then we weld!

That 1 flat piece for the top of the table is around 90-100$ at a steel yard 🤣 I recommend buying used steel if possible
What thickness is the top, 1/4"? 3/8"?

@@derrekbraveheart3268 I made a welding top for a Workmate folding workbench out of 3/8" steel and that thing is too F-ing heavy!
@@douglasbutler4360 it has to be. It shouldn't move when your leaning on it while welding! Or flexing under weight of a heavy project.
Yeah agreed @mustangdemon87 , 3/16 is what just under 5mm, way too light for a bench top

what size is the angle iron
at 2:57, I find it quicker and easier to use a combination square to Lay out straight lines.

The fume extractor is shit from my personal experience. The bench is a school boy thing and does not need to be complicated! Legs and work surface, that’s it!
Idk if you sees this but im confused i have bued a mig/mma Welder and it can use flux and co2 but what gas is best if im gonna weld in Steel like in this video ?
mig welding mild steel you use c25, which is 75 percent argon 25 percent co2
