When you are welding the 4 tubes together. Do your welds meet in the middle/top where they all come together? Seems like it would be tough to get your tungsten down in there (huge stick out). Also do you have to do any fusion welds on the inside or do your outside welds penetrate well?
If you watch me fusing the inside, I only weld enough to overlap the later weld on the outside, and yes the outer weld penetrates through so there is no need to fully weld them into the middle, hope all that makes sense 😃
Thanks for the comment, if you look closely at the jig, it is fixed at 45 degrees, and so I just lay the bend flat on the base of the jig for the first cut. I have many different jig's for different type's of collector but I thought this one would be the simplest way of showing it in a video. 🤘👍
Nice work. Your exhaust fabrication skills are top notch (way better than mine) However, a couple of hrs at $100 per hr.... or just buy them from Burns or similar.
wish I had your welding skills!!!, but a tiny bit unsatisfying because I'm having a hard time visualizing how the tubes come together on the inside (just how it is that all the tubes edges meet so it can be air-tight), and how they are welded, but you never showed that, you showed welding on the inside that was completely obscured from view and never any before and after shots of the inside.
@@LANCETHEGASS thanks for the reply, I'm a machinist not a welder, do very much appreciate you and those that have your talent, I've also tried to make a video and did much worse than you, so this is actually a good video by my standards 🙂 !!! I still find it amazing that you were able to weld inside the collector !!!
Unless you're tried stainless steel pipe fabricating you won't know how skilled this guy is !!!😉
I wish I would know how talented he is, i only weld regular steel so i would have no idea how good he is at fabricating
This guy made this look shockingly easy: seemingly broad measurements, etc. But the outcome is astounding. And I learned a lot. So thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for commenting 👍
You sure know what you’re doing, nice work, a beautiful piece which no female would appreciate.
Fascinating, and well shot video. Thank you.

Love your shop. Amazing work
Thanks Buddy 🤟
Beautiful work again. I wish you would talk in your videos and explain the angles of your cuts on the collector.
Maybe...one day....😉👍
Very nice kraftmanship sir!! Cheers from Italy!

Excellent work. I have seen collectors on $500 headers not look anywhere near as nice..
Perfect job!!!!!!
Sehr sehr schön!
Vielen Dank 👍
I hope you make more of this? in real tempo

Bloody lovely!
Great work. I am guessing this is not your first attempt at making one of these.
Great work, what angle do you bend the first pipes to?
Thank you, the bend's are 20 degrees on this collector, but could vary dependant on application.
Bro, that's not Fair! You have and industrial tube Bender, i have got a set of pliers from temu and a piece of tube 😢
😂😂
Art metal!
Nice. Thanks.
Now thats tungsten stigout

Bravo!

How are you positioning the tube for the first angle cut, such as at 2:00? Inspiring work sir! :)

Thank you, to be honest it can be quite tricky welding inside these collectors, especially the smaller ones, so would be difficult to film. 👍

Yea, like everyone has a £100K of machinery laying around....
Or maybe it's just for entertainment and interest. Maybe say thank you?
