Sounds like fun! My Daughter's Friends have come over and had a nice little sniffing session. I let them pick one or two favorites and give them a travel spray for them to take with them. 🤗

I think maybe all the packaging is adding to the cluttered look. And if it were me I would remove any trinkets that aren’t the actual perfume and body care products. Also also feel like having so many different storage and display options, versus having them be more uniform, is adding to the “cluttered” look. Thank you for this video and your collection is so amazing!

But uniformity in the storage and display materials does make for a more neat and orderly look. Buuuuttt at the end of the day it’s your collection so display it in whatever way gives YOU the most joy ❤️

I love how at the beginning you just assume that all of us have a fragrance closet we want to organize. 😂I would love to just have your Kilian collection! Thanks for giving us the tour. I've been curious for the last year. I was surprised by how tiny your filming corner is. It looks so much bigger on camera. I know your house needs to be my next fragrance vacation destination. A bunch of us should just gather in your closet and have a sniffing marathon! Thank you, Janelle for opening your closet up for us. Ty for watching! I tend to focus on one brand or topic at a time, especially when sampling a fragrance house to get to know. I've ended up with over 400 fragrances though, so one video might be tough. 🙃 If you'd like to tell me which fragrances you're interested in knowing about, I can work on it!🤗💕
Girl, this collection and organization is GOALS!! I am so glad I am not the only one that keeps my perfume boxes, haha. I also spy a Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment which I LOVE! LOL!

@@janelle-scenttalkfrommycloset I have a sample of the Sisley Eye Contour Mask that I have been using on days when i don't wear makeup to give my skin a break and oh my gosh my under eye area has never looked so good! But it's sooo expensive for a full tube thou so I am babying my sample..I may try the Kiehl's again to see if that holds a candle to it

I kept only what I am interested in after the declutter and unfortunately I didn't stumble across any more of the Sisley LOL

Yes, you forgot your 👶 baby: Sintra! I honestly have been thinking of putting perfume in the library of my house 🏠 You are a reviewer but my own collection can overwhelm me sometimes (ay!!). Oh I see Kayali! I love that house but for some reason they get a lot of hate. My favs so far are Vanilla Royale, Vanilla 28, Sweet Diamond, Utopia, Burning Cherry, and Invite Only. I want to try Eden Apple next 😋
Yaasss!! Excited to get through their scents, especially since the Creator absolutely believes in Layering!!🙌 Albeit with their own Fragrances, but I try and make the most of the collection. 🤗 Pleasantly surprised with a few of my wear tests so far, can't wait to share!

I've honestly Loved Fragrances my entire Life and was quite content with my staples until the pandemic, something sparked a flame in me and I became a "collector". Either way I'm really enjoying this ride, smells Delicious!!!!🙌🤗💞

Love your scent closet! I think you did amazing job! Where did you find your shelf’s? I was looking at a shelf from Walmart. It has 5 shelves and it glass shelves and metal shelf. They called it an open back bookcase. Has anyone use the arch type bookcase for your perfume? Have a blessed week ahead! ❤
Thank you! I got them on Amazon. I really risked it because I'm not the best at measurements! As long as you can secure the shelf to the wall, it should work nicely. Also, they have weight capacity per shelf, so I'm mindful of that. Have a great week! 🤗💕

Do you keep all of your perfume boxes? I love them and can't bear to throw them away. They're almost as interesting as the perfumes themselves 💗.
Same 🥴...I keep most of them. I'm currently hoarding them in my room 🫣 Trying to figure out if I should organize them or throw them out, but the really luxe packages I for sure can't bring myself to throw out!

Does the Burberry Her dupe from Oil Perfumery smell exactly like the OG? I’ve been trying to find a dupe that outperforms in longevity and projection
I sure haven't tested that out , and if I have I honestly can't remember! 😆 I've neglected my oil Perfumery collection. 🙃 Burberry Her Elixir definitely does outperform the original though.

I am wondering how people who collect this many perfumes ever use them before they go bad or get skunked. I have heard they usually last a few years. I have like 13 perfumes and I’m afraid I won’t be able to use them all before they go bad. Do they go bad ???
There are many many facts and myths about this topic out there. I can only speak from my own experience. The better they're stored, the longer they'll last the way the perfumer intended the fragrance to be experienced from top notes all the way to the dry down. The storage should be in a constant temp climate, neither too hot nor too cold and away from moisture. Also, away from direct light. What happens to them eventually is the top notes fade and you will get a more pronounced burst of the mixing agent (usually perfumers alcohol, but not all houses use it) Then the rest of the scent is enjoyed the same.
I personally have a bottle of Burberry London from about 2008, so 15yrs old. The bottle is in crazy shape because I didn't take care of it, but the fragrance is good to go. There's a huge market for vintage perfumes as well for collection and consumption. It's all very interesting to me. I personally share my Fragrances with Fragrant Friends, My Mother, 2 Daughters and Son, so my collection won't go to waste, it will be enjoyed and passed down to my Littles. 🤗

I've decluttered things I'm not using over the years, but it's rare I don't find a way to utilize the collection. Finding this platform during the pandemic has really given my Fragrance passion new meaning and I'm excited for the Future!💞
