I was watching once driven forever smitten and he was in a breakers yard at Dunfermline called waxwing cottage KY12 0SY ,at 8mins 21 secs there is a silver Audi TT but i couldnt make out if the front wings were on it. He was buying vauxhall parts and he uploaded the video yesterday.
Another great episode sorry late commenting was in hospital getting a reconstruction surgery done hope all the repairs go smoothly with the audi tt I do like them cleaning supplies they do look great the audi tt cleaned up well the vw transporter looks good have a wonderful evening enjoy the rest of your week great content as always #HomeBuilt 👊💨
For front wings try eu spares roughly £80 each in stock , 1st choice spares and parts gateway both online have in stock price not sure but hope this helps 👍 keep up good work guys enjoying the vids
Restored a mk1 tt myself, front wings are a real pain to find I did eventually get two in colour for the car. They rust on the sills badly so check and check especially up into the suspension mounts at rear, having restored mine and driving it for four months after mot the clutch slave cylinder went, and the clever guys at Audi hide them in the bellhousing. As it was a Quattro I lost the will and quit, it’s worth checking and ensuring the fluid is clean and replacing before you get to far clutch is a royal pita on these at this age unless you have a lift. Ps if you service the haldex I have the spanner and will happily post if you want it.
I would say, the Audi TT should of been left in the barn. But the word on the street, is that these cars are going to be the next big thing in the future classic car world. So it's definitely worth repairing. Not sure about the red leather though. Good video
I think the same, the B5 Audi A4's are worth a lot now and hard to find so i kept the B6 hoping it will be next 😂 but i think the TT will be desirable soon and worth repairing. Personally i love a red interior but normally in an Alfa ❤️
There's a company near me in farnworth, Bolton ( Greater Mcr), Called Auto crash parts, I am not in the motor trade, but I believe they can supply most panels for older vehicles, and ship them to anywhere in UK, I also believe they supply panels dating back many years, even to the 1970s and beyond, might be worth you look them up and speak to them. Fingers crossed they might be able to sort you out guys.
Elbow grease from savers or any cheap store. £1 does the lot for that sort of crap. Then snow foam of course and autoglym artic blast for the polish to finish.
Hi guys enjoying the channel as for the Audi TT try Deuchmarque they are down in Herefordshire Ledbury I think it’s a few years since I bought from them but he was always very good with his prices and cheaper than TPS keep up the good work
Another great video boys, hope you are both doing well, im very shocked that you can’t find cheap wings for the TT, I thought you could get them cheap on eBay like £20 lol 😆 crazy prices people are asking for them
We are looking into it but i want to buy the correct thing once rather than buying cheap stuff and then having to fork out again, they are expensive though and the unit tool priority to get us out of the weather. Dont worry though we will have good audio tgis year sometime.
I think the TT is going to be a (rusty) tin of worms, and a money pit. I guess if the owner is happy to plow his cash into it then fair do’s, but as someone else said, I’d be putting it back in the barn!!
I live in North East England - even that far north I can see your climate is Scotland is clearly much harsher and damaging to cars VAG cars very often seem to rot in the wheel arches really badly. I think some bright spark decided that some sort of sponge like material would do a job in there - sound deadening? Certainly does a job encouraging rot
Great to see such a classic car being restored. My neghbour has a 14 year old TT still that comes up as new when valeted.

Awesome, thanks i will have a look.
Personally I would make templates and make repair sections for original wings, save issues with colour matching and blending too
If i had time i would make fiberglass moulds and make some fiberglass or carbon ones but im not sure the owner wants to pay for that process 😂
@@HomeBuilt I understand that,I thought u had bought and rescued the car.only issue with replacing is colour matching.

I just had to say that I really love ❤️ the red leather interior.

@@HomeBuilt Maybe my colour settings are off on my Tv. The red looks quite bright. Like a post box.
I’ve always liked the look of the first tt, they spoiled it later I thought
I wasnt a fan when they first came out but they have grown on me now and i really like them.
Great video boys guys keep up the great videos 👍🙂
Audi hopefully will be not too bad when you take the skirts off. The VW is stunning I’m sure it will sell really quickly

Just looked on their website, definitely worth checking out.
Brilliant, thanks Steven.
I will give them a shout today and se what they can do.
Interesting to note about cost of wings, However good enjoyable hands on video

Elbow grease is fine for a deep clean but its no good for coated cars, it will strio everything off.
If it was coated it would be mint so you wouldn't be using it anyway would you.
Not going to be cheap to put that back on the road.great video guys keep up the great work…🏴👍🥶 5:51
I think your correct mate, ill keep lookimg for decent donor parts
Very rare body kit on that worth more than the car alone, votex kit my mate had the same kit on his
I thought so, i have the same kit on my A4

I use to have a audi tt 225 there nice cars that bodykit is horrible, try trents breakers and Baxenden breakers they may have audi tt parts 👍
thanks for the tip, i might just give them a try!
@@HomeBuilt no problem

Thats what i thought 😂
Audi looks like it could be a good car
Another cracking video as usual,
Hi guys love the channel I think it's time to get some mics to get a better quality sound
We are looking into it but i want to buy the correct thing once rather than buying cheap stuff and then having to fork out again, they are expensive though and the unit tool priority to get us out of the weather.

I caught a video on time Woo Who
great video
Thanks mate.

😂 Pretty much all of the stuff is bolt on parts so shouldnt be too bad i hope.
Charlie should be known as whistler.
😂 Why
@@HomeBuilt he whistles when he talks. But we will let him away with it as he is a good grafter , and it adds character to the young lad .
Try stewarts metals Muirhead they have older cars in all the time . And Muirhead car breakers they break alot of audi vws
i'll definitely give them a try! thanks.
That looks like a Votex body kit on it, they're pretty rare
I thought so, i have the same kit on my A4
Here!
Do you have a link to the van and a guide price?
I havent listed it yet but its going up for £22k but if any of you guys want it its £20k
That was one tacky body kit. Did they put it on to hide the rust I wonder, and the seats aren't much better, sorry Scottie.
Great video but man, that TT is hideous with the poor colour matched and badly fitting body kit!
