Awesome truck. Before I lost both hands in 1983 the work you are doing is what I did. To me nothing you do is Boring. I never skip anything in these vids. Just found your channel today. Thanks fer th great vid
Really love the name Bella some people think I'm weird cuz I like Twilight that truck does come pretty close to the one she had love those old 63 wrap around windshield did a very good job on it keep up the good work enjoy watching the videos
I watch your videos all the way through. I so enjoy them. I just had a heart attack so working on my van has to stop for a bit. Keep up the great work. I love these old Chevy pickups.
I'm new to this channel I think it's my third video on checking out doesn't matter what the project is finished or not I still enjoy watching your videos saving these classic trucks and cars keep up the good work get the project done best you can enjoy watching
The take-off intake and exhaust manifolds are actually kinda desirable. Large port rams horns were a hot junkyard item back in the day. You are a great person. We love and appreciate your hard work and honesty.
Howdy Garth, we just started school back here as well , luckily for us our youngins are done with school but i still get stuck behind the busses in town...i really appreciate you for staying true to your roots ..making ends meet on a budget is how most of us normal people do it .. or as Johnny Cash sang about 1 piece at a time until you get all the parts together..alot of youtubers are making money hand over fist and they have a line of credit with most parts houses so they aren't working on old junk on a budget...i grew up in rural midwest and lived from pay check to pay check so getting car parts was a slow process and only after all the other bills were paid ...keep doing what you do and don't ever apologize for being behind on a project b/c 99% of us live our lives being behind schedule ..glad to see Bella out on the road again just crusin the block
And either copper header gaskets or decent quality paper coated ones, being a previous owner of three different sets of sbc Percy's aluminum header gaskets for both of the round ones and one set of the square gaskets they eventually blew out too,so I don't know if I would recommend them or not, but I have used several sets of the Mr gasket header bolts, the black oxide ones, not the Allen head ones though I used them too, but I would suggest either the Allen head bolts, or the stage 8 locking header bolts both are more pricey than the plain steel black oxide 12 point and hex 6pt header bolts though.
I have a lot of respect for you! Not only are you a single dad, but you appear to be a loyal friend. I'm sure Ice Man got more out of spending time with you than he did with getting that old van ya'll got for scrap. Not bad for a millennial! (Just teasing ya) Keep up the awesome videos, and don't worry about jumping around in them! I just love seeing someone with a passion, saving these old cars and trucks! As usual, great video!
@garthsgraveyardgarage LOL, my mistake! I'm so old that my generation crossed the red sea with Moses! 🤣 Never understood the generation thing anyways! Thanks again for all you do!
Is that motor maybe a 73-76 Chevy Monte Carlo or Malibu classic or maybe a big body gm station wagon with ac and that's why it had the odd water pump Garth sir?!
Love the way that old truck sound you do a hell of a job on their vehicles love your show love the way you content tears and you remind me and my dad down things to do almost 17 years and died in in 84
Hello from Indiana. I enjoy your content . The 63 reminds me of the first c -10 it was a 62 only it had a straight 6 that ran like a dream. Keep up the good work.... 👍
Awesome content as always Mr. Nice to see you stay true to yourself and your morals. Great way to start off my weekend, watching a bit of G.G.G. Keep up the good work man. 🤘🤘
Glad to see the new video from you, I enjoy watching what you do with the vehicles that you have. I know it takes time because of your busy schedule, keep up the good work my friend, from an Army veteran that learned diesel mechanics to go along with my auto and small engine mechanics
Hey Brother i am not sure if i missed a video or not but i understand that the iceman is under the weather. I hope he will soon be OK. I don’t really know what happened to the young fella, but tell him he is in our prayers… Hoping he has a speedy recovery.
I love that you are keeping this old Iron on the road. Just a suggestion , you need to work that bearing grease into the bearing just greasing the outside of the bearing won't do much good.. but love your videos
Awesome video I quit watching bad Chad and strictly watching your site now you do a great job with the editing of your content and I love how you get your kids involved with your videos my hats off to you now I just like to know how I can purchase one of your shirts keep up the fantastic work. Jake
i used to watch Chad as well but he gives me the hollywood fake show vibes and he seems to be too into money....i like simple people making ends on a budget like most of us normal people.....this feller and his youngins remind me of how i started wrenching..from the time i was old enough to walk i was in my uncles garage carrying tools and doing simple things until i became old enough to start turning wrenches and actually helping
Great work looks good and yes am guilty of fast forwarding sorry maybe do a time lapse or even speed up footage on something you would consider to slow to film looks good and shows how intricate and time consuming even a simple task can be just a thought engine looks great by the way
So you don't have to use gasket seal on the top part of the gasket that touches the intake? I'm asking because I've never done an intake but I'm about to do one on my 86 Z28 305 TPI motor. I'm going back to a carburetor.
Oh and I am sorry to add more but I have been there dealing with the bolts breaking on the block and heads, but I can do you one better on 2 different trucks both daily driver vehicles one was originally from Texas in the mid 80's, original paperwork said it was sold in reading Pennsylvania though?! Anyways it was a emerald green and frost gloss white center stripe two tone paint scheme 78 Chevy c20 custom deluxe long bed and had a green roof not a white one, and the fender mount stiffener spring radio antenna it didn't have the one in the windshield, the other truck was a 86 chevy k20 midnight blue and frost gloss white two tone paint scheme blue roof, and I built a 75 Chevy k20 Silverado 350 sbc 4 bolt main motor for it, but on both vehicles I ended up having to change the water pump bad gaskets on the 78,3 of the 4 bolts broke off in the block and on the 86 chevy k20 75 Chevy 350 both alternator bolts broke off and two of the water pump bolts,so I learned how to drill and tap the block and the cylinder heads just out of highschool was much older than that when I had to deal with the 86 chevy k20 though but that can turn in a major expensive disaster really quick..
Raw video content is good not this scripted stuff and mostly fake you keep doing what your doing and you will fine every TH-cam channel has its own personality and that’s fine. Just keep doing what you’re doing.
sorry for the newb question but is this engine and trans setup. is something that can tackle highways like going 60-70 or is more 50mph or less type of deal.
Two ideas for helping with seeing when you are doing brakes i have harbor freight cheap quantum led two AAA batteries flashlight for like 9 bucks and now they have the Braun version supposed to be a much better flashlight than what I have but $14 pocket size mini maglite style flashlight with the pocket clip.. and the magnetic parts trays they have or something similar from like advanced auto parts stores would come in handy when you are disassembling the motor?!, and the other idea was the next brand aluminum folding flashlight similar to the braun brand one harbor freight sells but their flashlight has one cob led panel the next brand one from Amazon has double sided cob led light panels,, and it is like 850 lumens i think I got one for $44 and free shipping
The Iceman got injured? Is he alright? How did it happen? Did it occur in a video I didn't see? Hope he's alright. A scorpion underneath that valve cover.. Was that a joke, or for real? Living in Arizona and working on cars...Gawd, I hate scorpions...they're everywhere.. Then there are rattlesnakes, while pulling a car out of a junkyard grave. Oh my.
If I knew how to shoot decent TH-cam videos on working on my project cars and trucks and had decent cameras and recording equipment to do so I would probably still just make videos as you do when you have the time and pick up where you left off last, but I don't know how to, and I am not sure i could do as good as some of you smaller channels and as for the higher ect channels yeah nope...so that's why I just work on my own stuff and watch all of y'all but oh well..
So here is a couple of honest comments, from someone who doesnt comment. 1. I watched your first viedo, where you said 1 goal, was to teach and maybe inspire people to get into mechanics, which no one teaches. I am in Mexico and my nephew is in Mississippi. We both watch and I have no idea anything about cars and I am almost 60 and he is 22. We both lear a lot. 2. Please stop saying on every video, that you didn't tape something because its boring. I am your target audience, not the expert mechanics who cretique everything you do. Nothing is boring or redundant. They should make channels instead of spending time critiquing you. You have two people who, for sure, learn. Just know we are out here and appreciate the videos, minus the son-in-law comments hahahah. Have a great day!

Not telling you what to do but I highly highly recommend stage 8 locking fasteners for the headers
That clear distributor is so cool. That's exactly what I'm planning on putting on my 305 camaro when I change it over to a carburetor.
Just curious what year Camaro??!

What a nice truck should have paint the engine bay
Oh we're far from done with it! 😁
That is cool you can run headers on street truck. In California that would have been a no no. Oh what a beautiful sound.
Love your channel brother
Thank you so much!
Great job with the pick em up truck. Would love to have one but they are really expensive in Sweden sadly. Keep up the good work
Thank you!
Really enjoy your channel 👍
Thank you so much!
Corvette engine, SCORE!

I only apply it to the water passages, top and bottom.
Oh ok. Thanks for responding Garth.
Good job my friend
Oh and I am sorry to add more but I have been there dealing with the bolts breaking on the block and heads, but I can do you one better on 2 different trucks both daily driver vehicles one was originally from Texas in the mid 80's, original paperwork said it was sold in reading Pennsylvania though?! Bingo!
Those ram horns have been tested and they flow better than headers very collectable.
We're definitely hanging on to them.
My degreaser of choice is easy off dollar general brand foaming oven cleaner..
sorry for the newb question but is this engine and trans setup. is something that can tackle highways like going 60-70 or is more 50mph or less type of deal.
It'll do highway speeds and probably red line around 90 mph.
@@garthsgraveyardgarage oh wow. dint think it would be that much. that would make a legit cruiser. gotta look into c20s. ty
If you look on the pad in front of the pass side head on the block you will find id # you cant be sure wrte water pump came from
What happened to the ice man ?
He had a harsh injury to his leg while working.

He was on a job and a huge steel pipe landed on his leg. Scorpion was very real and has happened before!
Where abouts are you at. Looking for an old Chevy stepside 6 cyl
Canyon Lake, TX
I have some feedback here the engine like a monster truck
