I want a travellers notebook that also has a slot for a passport, so I can scribble notes and plans while waiting for my plane without having to have separate holders for my notebook and passport. Maybe also a slot for the plane ticket. Incredibly niche but I feel such a use case would be worthwhile.
I have the olive passport and use it constantly. I love it! I use it for writing down inspirations, developing story ideas, as a journal, and monthly planner. The cover doesn't quite stretch over four notebooks, but it's working well for me.
I love my travelers notebook! I love the dark brown color, the suede with pockets on the inside and the great feel in the hand. So, mine in a planner to the grocery store. 1.) The plain unlined book is used for the grocery list. I can tape list etc. if needed. 2.) The lined book is used for the Freezer Inventory, I don't need twenty of one thing. My memory isn't what it use to be. 3.) I made a calendar from the graft book, because i didn't need a daily schedule with it. When things go on sale on a certain day, it is for (at a glance.) 4.) The last notebook would be the weekly two page spread, Monday---Sunday boxes on the left for meal planning with the TO DO THIS WEEK list on the right. Notes for those special times, when you need to run to different stores! Even with 4 notebooks, it is very light in the hand, nice size really balanced. It has never fallen out of my hand. I can flip quickly from book to book for information. Mine has a pencil holder. This book is a really great addition to my daily life. LOVE IT!
I love this!!!! I use my Narrow Camel TN with two inserts: a monthly and a lightweight blank for journaling. I also have a Kraft folder and plastic folder in it to house all my items! It’s a compact system that has everything I need all in one place.
I use mine as a planner, with a dated insert that has a week of days on the left and a blank page on the right. I make notes, add quotes or art or stickers or ephemera to the blank side. In another insert, I track my reading with brief reviews from the front and my fountain pen log from the back. I’ve added pockets and folders to carry stuff to decorate or make notes on. I often make pockets and add to the blank side of the planner portion or as tip-ins. I love the combination of practical and fun and art.
I got the Olive Travelers notebook in 2017. I use it as a portable planner and for taking work notes. I love the minimalist cover and easy to replace notebooks.
I use mine as a calender, Journal (mostly for school however thinking i might add another on for more personal projects) and i have a sketch paper incert
I really wish I were into TNs honestly. They seem so versatile and chic, but I could never get one to really work in my daily workflow. After trying lots of things, I ended up with a A6 Stalogy 365 with a nice faux leather cover so my go-to planner/journaling system, but I'll always admire the aesthetics of the TN.
I want to use my TN more, but I wish that it would lie flat. I bought a Mossery notebook and that’s served me well. Maybe I’ll give this one a try again …
I ended up removing the elastic from the cover because the knot on the back bothered me so much. I keep the elastic separate with the knot at the front, but I may just get rid of it (I don't keep any loose paper in my TN). I've heard of people punching holes in the spine to thread the elastic knot there instead too. I also have a pencilboard in the TN zippercase at the back to help with writing on a hard, flat surface too. Would love to hear if others have different solutions too.
As much as I respect and admire the people who truly make a traveler's notebook work for them, I. just can't do it. I would much MUCH rather carry an A6 Midori notebook with me. Small enough that I can write any thoughts I have at any given moment, or lay it flat on a flat surface if I happen to have the time to do so.
Which pen is the best for travellers notebook and for people who use it outside in the woods without a cabin? A friend of mine, owns it and he is a scout guide
My complaint about Traveler's covers is the band knot in back can be felt as a 'bump' on right facing pages whether under my hand or, horribly, under the pen. To me, it's a major aesthetic/usability design flaw. Is there a fix for this besides removing the wraparound band?

I use the passport size. It has slots for card, you can insert the passport, and I have a small notebook in it too! I get tons of compliments on it.
Oh and I forgot to mention, you can get a small folder insert for tickets and receipts!!!
They make several inserts that you might find would fit your needs. Worth looking into in case you’re interested.
@@thesparkypilot I do the same. I have the 004 zipper case and a short trip insert to make it more compact.
You could just slide it in! Get the extra elastic and create a few more bands for multiple books😊

If you put a clip on the spine it will lie flat, like at 4:55

Excellent video. Thank you!
Excellent channel ....excellent explanation....
That standard olive is such a good color. Mine looks like the passport you show, and I'm just not in love, like with my blue and my records.

aniMaL prOvideS, animals are being tortured actually
There are other companies that make covers that are vegan. I use one that’s made of cork.
Stop tempting me to buy things I dont need!!
