Thank you for doing this, cause this video is essentially a Christmas list for me to send to people, lol. Give them the number time stamp to go to for what I want (and don’t already have!) This is so kind of you to do, and I love this video!
Love the stamp cleaner, glad you reviewed it, will be picking that up. I lined my toyo boxes with thin cork sheets to prevent rattle and for protecting pencil leads from shock.
Daaang, that Blue Star board is awesome! The secret compartment makes it a must! I'm still using an old clipboard my mum had before I was born.. and im over 30 🤣. I think i can finally get a new one and this one is absolutely perfect!
Mark, have you seen the new bottle holder from Ferris Wheel Press? It's designed for the round ferritales inks. It looks like a globe stand! It's very cute
Mark, I’m loving the wave of content you’ve been putting out! These are great ideas in time for the holidays, copying links straight to my Santa list 😊
EASILY, my favourite item is my Galen Leather Writing Box, along with the leather carrying strap. I bought it a couple of years ago and I *literally* use it every single day. At this point, it’s more than paid for itself. Because I bring it everywhere with me, especially when I go out writing at coffee shops, I also bought an Osprey Bookbag with an included rain cover, to protect the writing box from getting soaked in a normal bookbag, in the event that I get caught in a downpour when I’m out. The Osprey bookbags also have a true lifetime warranty, which I love. My FAVOURITE notebooks BY FAR are by Dingbats. They are TRULY *THE BEST*! I honestly can’t recommend them enough! They’re perfection! My other favourite item is my Pineider Travelling Inkwell. I love it so much I have two and they live in my writing box. Whether you love cartridge/converters, vacuum fillers or piston fillers, it comes in handy. It securely fits a wide variety of diameters for the section, to fill it directly from the inkwell. For my narrower pens, I keep a syringe in a ziploc bag in my writing box to fill the cartridge converter. You can also use the included pipette to fill the bottle or the cartridge/converter. I’m glad that you mentioned the Kakimori dip pen nibs. I also have the sakura holder, which I love. The holders which you featured in your video are also stunning! On a non-pen front, something else that I carry are Blackwing pencils and their sharpener. At home, I also have their extra erasers. They are worth every single penny! As much as I love my Pilot and Montblanc fountain pens, when I need to use a pencil, I love the Blackwings just as much!
We have similar tastes! I have quite a few of the things you have, and I want a lot of the things you’ve shown!! (Click Art Zebra Markers in all the colors, the cool Pilot pen…discontinued, bummer, and that cool timer brings me back to mall days at Sharper Image or Brookstone!) Midori stamps are amazing, so are the little Kodomo icon stamps (but pricey…) The Xyron sticker maker is something I got about 5 years ago, and it’s fantastic! I have removable sticky and permanent sticky rolls I can use. It’s fantastic for printing/copying a list of labels for things and you run the paper through and there’s your sticker!! I like it more than the Dyson for making little labels, but the Dyson is super handy, too (husband bought one.) I saw a Xyron in a local store that’s about 6” wide now, so can make a much larger array of stickers (it was about $15, not bad at all!!!) One thing that’s fun if you want to get creative is buying loose A4 packs of a favorite paper (Tomoe River, Kokuyo, Iroful, etc…and making my own A5 and A6 journals using easy bookbinding techniques…tons of videos on YT and really just need a few tools and items you may already have laying around, or would be inexpensive to purchase, cover it with my own choice of card stock or something heavier, and voila! A new notebook!! It’s also how I’m going to repurpose my barely used Hobonichi Cousin. Requires some sewing, but very simple sewing.) Oh, Mark…you need to try Iroful paper and see how ink just pops off the page without the ghosting of TRP (and very fountain pen friendly.) Cosmo isn’t making its paper anymore, so those who like it, get it while you can!! Another find is Maruman Septcolour Notebooks with a plastic cover, 3mm grid, fantastic fountain pen friendly paper, and the covers come in lovely colors. (The Kokuyo Soofa’s are similar and also really nice, with an added elastic to hold the cover closed.) Both are reasonably priced and can be used for anything, plus they look professional, and the rings are not annoying. Great video!! Thank you!!!
I’m with you on the A&O notepads - probably the most “surprise! I’m versatile” item I’ve bought, thinking it was an indulgence but I use it all the time. I’m going to have to check out a lot of these items - first time seeing them and they look so cool! Great video!
I KNEW I shouldn't watch this video... lol!! Dang, my Christmas wish list is getting LONG 🙂 You have some really useful tools - and thanks for demonstrating how to use them!
Nice list! That multiball is rad! Trying to think of something I keep handy that's more unusual...oh! I keep a set of these teeny Soramame Stamp Pads from Tsukineko. (I bought them locally at Baum-Kuchen, but they are available on JetPens and Yoseka, etc.) They perfect for when I want to quickly ink a stamp without pulling out all the inkpad/stamp accoutrements.
OMGee...Mark, seeing that Sizzix Sidekick diecutting machine made me think of Tim Holtz, who designs for Sizzix dies and licenses a bunch of color products for Ranger who make his Distress line and many of his stamps. He does Saturday videos on YT. primarily showing how you can use his newly released products, of course, and then when he's releasing new products, he has a large group of "makers" (paper arts designers) who make the most incredible creations using primarily Tim's products. They're fun & interesting videos😊
