I’ve had gingivitis for a while, but it never went farther than that(because of regular trips to the dentist)
About a week ago I decided to begin to treat it
I brushed, flossed, and used mouthwash twice a day and I already notice a difference
My gums are less swollen and red(now more of a dark pink)
My teeth are whiter and my breath smells better my gums also now bleed a lot less
Please remember to take care of you teeth, don’t take them for granted
Update: it’s almost been two weeks, and my gums and teeth only keep getting better. My gums are even less red and they don’t even bleed anymore

I don't freaking understand, I've been brushing and using mouthwash every single day and I STILL manage to get gingivitis.

“Drill them, Fill them and BIll THEM” a golden plaque on the wall in many dentists offices, who drive Porsches and Teslas. I was born after the war, those day poor dental hygiene. Later food impaction, gingivitis, foul smell, extractions and dentures. Also tons of PAIN! However, I still have a dozen teeth left in my head. Also one implant with bone graft and one standard implant. What’s the option? A cheap and fast extraction? No thanks! Currently I’m undergoing a root canal treatment. Next insert the crown. After that I’ll KEEP SMILING all day long! Here’s my DENTAL HYGIENE ADVICE:
R I N S E. People are lazy. This is a fact. People skip brushing and flossing their teeth. Especially after meals in busy working environments. No TIME. OK it’s HUMAN! But, you will always have time to RINSE. Do it the toilet, on the street. RINSE! This will help to remove those food particles: rice, veggie pieces, sweet cake, pork, fish and sticky candy stuck between your teeth. If I would have learned this when I was younger I would have less fillings and more teeth in my 74 old head. Greetings from Thailand. My dentist. No Private business type “Drill Them, Fill Them and Bill Them” Enuff private clinics! Today only SWU Government Faculty of Dentistry in Bangkok. 2,5 months ago I had a dental surgery where I replaced 26 of my natural crowns with zirconium (for a bright, shinny smile) and had recently noticed a difference of smell, taste and behaviour of my gums.
Got even more sensitive and started bleeding when brushing my teeth.
Initially I thought that it could have been a post surgery sensitivity and reduced the twice a day brushing to just once whilst also applying less pressure when using the electric toothbrush.
Few days later I have noticed that the issue has just gone worse, as the bad smell got to a point where I had to avoid french kissing (my missus wasn't happy and I withheld the reason).
After a bit of a research, collected the right information and begun doing my morning brush adding salt on my toothbrush + mouthwash and flossing + brushing using toothpaste + mouthwash in the evening.
2 days into this process and it made such a huge difference.
    Hope this helps.
Going back to enjoy kissing (hehehe)
    Stay clean guys

I went to the dentist a few weeks ago & was diagnosed with periodontitis. didn't seem to matter how often I brushed my teeth (at least 3x a day) or flossed (at least 1x a day). Now I have to go every 3-4 months for treatment that's costing me $$$ I can't really afford w/out tightening my belt big time. Someone told me about oil pulling (swishing coconut oil around your mouth for about 15-20 minutes every day) to repair some of the damage. Tried it tonight--not a fantastic experience--but I'm desperate. I can't reverse the damage at this point but don't want to make it worse. . . .

It amazes me to see people not taking care of their teeth. I once had a friend who became homeless so I took him in. I bought him everything he needed, including a toothbrush. Around a year later I noticed that he had the same toothbrush and it still looked new. When I asked him about it, he said he hasn’t brushed his teeth even once. That’s when I noticed that half of his teeth were gone. Rotting out of his gums. He was always complaining about toothaches and headaches. Every night and morning I would ask him to at least brush if he didn’t feel like flossing or using mouthwash. He got angry with me for doing so. Now, he has only a few teeth left and a huge infection making him miserable. He still doesn’t brush his teeth. Says he will just get dentures once they all fall out 🤦🏼

    • @jennymdental
      @jennymdental 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@100PercentBudder you'd only really know if you have early stages of gum disease by a dental visit where they measure around the gum, and they can advise you based on attachment loss (pocket depths) whether it is mild or severe disease. it's hard to know if you have pockets yourself, they don't have to be painful or obvious to be there and they require a special probe to be able to measure them (almost like a mini ruler) so definitely go see your dentist for a check :) in terms of the gumline is it a red band along the tooth margin above a pink gum appearance? this may mean that you just need to focus more along the gums when brushing rather than the tooth itself, lots of people forget the gums need gentle massaging with a toothbrush as well as brushing the teeth to remove plaque bacteria etc, if you angle it diagonally towards the gum margin you should get the best result :)

I’ve been brushing for a bit now and my gums aren’t much of (dark,) red or swollen, they’re more of a pink so that’s, great. It’s been say 2 months on the gum progress but I’ve noticed a black spot??? I lowered my bottom lip and flipped out luckily though it’s just one tooth, lower left fang. Can you tell me if a dentist is needed ASAP? Or can I just brush and mouth wash it away?

What do you think about laser procedures such as LANAP (laser assisted new attachment procedure)? They said This protocol is actually FDA approve for teeth structure regeneration and periodontal treatment. The company Millennium Dental claims it kills the bacteria deep in the pocket, remove the disease lining gum tissue around teeth, regenerate lost bone around teeth and make the pocket shallower. What’s your take on that??

So first things first you gotta brush your teeth after eating and floss before bed
You don’t use mouth Wass I uses alchahol so it will reced meaning you will have gum loss and try softening your grip when brushing because I have the same thing as you I have a tooth that is red and bleeds so please take my advice

Maybe you figured out the answer now, but think about how they kill pathogens. The inflammatory molecules they respond is not good for the body. It just so happens that the pathogens are worse, that's why it's ok.
