@sharafatali731 I'm fine now but I lost my tooth forever. Unfortunately, I can't get an implant due to lack of bone density. (Can't even do bone transplant... Sorry I don't know how to explain.)
then when is it okay to administer antibiotics based on Australia's protocols? would we have to wait for that lesion to create a visible abcess in order to prescribe it?? I would think it makes a lot more sense to prescribe the antibiotics right after we confirm a periapical lesion.
@@edgarSmile You never wait for a it to become visible. Instead you treat the tooth with an extraction or root canal. Antibiotics won't make that periapical lesion go away, so unless there's pain or evidence of spread of infection your not doing the patient any good by prescribing a course of systemic antibiotics.
Well, I think ATB could be in cases where infection is severe ( face inflamation , fever, toothache, etc) But it ' s true that is not the first treatment option like endodoncy or extraction

Antibiotics for periapical lesions is actually not indicated. So that's wrong. Well at least here in Australia.

I agree, in Europe periodical abscesses are not an indication for ATB. treatment is endo or extraction!

It’s a sign you might have reversible pulpits. Usually pain on laying down happens in association to irreversible pulpits.
