I definitely think that the FL5 has a much more matured and refined design in comparison to the FK8, I do think that after you pointed out the rear end thats I’ve noticed it more but none the less it’s such a fantastic package and design.
FK is best looking and best FWD Honda has ever made. Fk8 had captured the dreams of mature and younger ordinance with its crazy aggressive look while having that turbo vtec for those who never owned one but always wanted one when they were young. I've owned many DC2 and Da6 integras. from type r, type r turbo in the early 2000 then going to 500hp turbo setup. Then H22a R swap H2B. Then I went to try other Jdms. But I love that unique rawness about the Hondas and the economical way that you dont feel guilty driving to work every day been unnoticed while when the right time comes, you can thrash the car to its limits whenever you please and knowing that it won't fall apart on you.
Definitely more tuning shop tours, I love all the content of the Japanese car culture you've been putting out it's amazing. I'd like to see more of the low key race tracks too.
I think I never left a comment after a youtube video, so I hope you will appreciate it even more - just like I appreciate for your videos. I am really enjoying your content and also passed to my friends about it because it is just to good to be missed. The places, the information, the pictures - it is just brilliant. Please keep it up!
Our generation is so spoiled with people like Dino that produce content of this nature. I remember the death of print being as scary as Y2K but watching things done to this level provides the same feeling I used to get thumbing through pages of images with text I couldn't read. Thank you!
7:19 that's probably the best angle on this new generation imo, both for the hatch and sedan. The FL1 looks so much better than the FK7 from this angle too, the craziness in the FK8 however came together well and the car looked good. But I'd still prefer FL5 looks over the FK8. Also 2:36 that Accord is love, probably a Euro R. Sad you didn't show it..
So glad you are giving regular youtube content another go, I'm abosolutely loving every video. Somewhat tangentially related; the other thing I would love is to maybe buy some speedhunters merch at some point soon? EDIT: Finished the video. Definitely enjoyed but some specifics about what they have done to their FL5 would be interesting as well.
Hey Dave! Thanks, appreciate the feedback. Planning on hitting the all up at some point. There's one close to Spoon that will probably be the next one :)
Great video thanks for the upload really enjoyed it, amazing how organised and clean the shop is and quiet with so much high quantity and detailed work being done
Dino, your videos are always first class with the best cinematography! Keep up the great work :) I would love to see Mine’s, Midori Seibi, J’s Racing, and Max Orido’s shop captured by you
I've been following you since Speedhunters. I didn't know you had a TH-cam channel. I'm so glad you're doing this more frequently, now. More JDM car content for us.
If you can get access, obvious ones would be MINE's, Powerhouse AMUSE, RE AMEMIYA, Yashio Factory, HKS and Top Secret.. I'm sure i'm missing a ton.. But those are the heavy hitters that come to mind..
Love the FL5 and the new spoon front lip gives me spoon ek and eg vibes. OEM Plus look. Fk8 was over done to the point spoon had to make a body kit to simplify more.
Getting a closer look at that engine building room was great. One of the cars located up on the 2nd floor (actually raised up above the 2nd floor) appeared to be a S800. Is that the car that is owned by Spoon's founder? I would love to get a closer look it some day.
Bro.. you have the best content on Japan’s 🇯🇵 most iconic tuning/overhaul 🚗 shops. I remember, literally decades ago reading about them on Honda Tuning magazine. Is Spoon for Honda what Nismo is for Nissan? Thank you for the great coverage.
Maybe the FL5-R is a strong package for the money in Japan, but once it's delivered in the UK it's just shy of £50,000. I remember when £50k was M3 money... Very cool place, though. As a DC5 owner this is on my Japan bucket list!
I also agree with you on the rear design of the new gen civic in general. even before the type R was released, I said to my self at Honda, no matter what they do with the type r, as long as its based on the normal model rear hatch design, its going to let the car down. And then 12 month later I see the type R ..😅
Sad that all this artistry and workmanship will disappear if everyone switches to EV. I wish internal combustion engine will stay longer so I can enjoy this more.
What are your thoughts on the new FL5 vs the FK8?
I definitely think that the FL5 has a much more matured and refined design in comparison to the FK8, I do think that after you pointed out the rear end thats I’ve noticed it more but none the less it’s such a fantastic package and design.
The FL5 is the Type-R for adults! So much more mature and refined in every way, but still with the Type R heart
It's like comparing an EF vs an EG. Two entirely different chasis. Both amazing and both have a cult following. Fl5 is better tho lol😂
Fl5 much decent and looks like calm, fk8 are too busy face 😂

Yes plz
I love how open most tuner shops in Japan seem to be. Letting visitors make videos on the premises is so cool
Yes all very welcoming!
Nothing to hide and proud of the craftsmanship.

Really enjoying these shop videos. Love seeing the details of Japanese tuning culture.
Thanks!

Another great video! Congrats and keep them coming :)
Will do and thanks for the feedback!
Spoon has always had such great design sense! The utilization of that shop space 🦾 thanks for sharing with us!
I love the rear end of the FL5. Perhaps a small duck bill extention on the lower deck lip might add some flare.
7:19 that's probably the best angle on this new generation imo, both for the hatch and sedan. The FL1 looks so much better than the FK7 from this angle too, the craziness in the FK8 however came together well and the car looked good. But I'd still prefer FL5 looks over the FK8.

The FL5 continues to grow on me. Euro-R, yes a great one too!
That header!!!:Love the cleanliness and how Type One/spoon is. The workers are very dedicated and how calm they are. Love the content thanks Dino
Absolutely!
Fantastic video. The Spoon guys are always so meticulous and welcoming. Can you go and visit the new J’s Racing factory/showroom next?
Thanks so much! Osaka trip for shops like J’s is much needed!

Love the tuning shop tours.

Thank you, Mines tour hopefully very soon!
Love the work Dino! Keep it up!

Hell yeah more shop tours!!!
Background audio is always nice, Dino 🍻
Great tour, Dino! Would love to see a tour of some of the other Honda tuners in Japan.

Shop tours are the shiz.. By all means keep it up..
Big thank you Dino for making great videos! So freshening compared to other TH-camrs. Great shop tour video 👏👍😎

Really cool stuff Dino! I feel the switch to videography with all the B roll!
Awesome! Thank you!
Dino's deep understanding brings a whole new dimension to car videos. Thanks
Thanks!!
The R is something else premium quality 🔥🔥💪congratz ..
Thanks for taking us along!

Keep checking back, we have 2 episodes dropping every week!

THIS is what I subscribed for! Amazing content! ✌️
Thank you for this insight on spoon man. Would love to see more different shops.
More to come!
I love japanese cars and like all styles of tuning

Yes Ichishima’s car

Thank you very much, really appreciate that. No that would be Mugen, that’s the factory motorsport/tuning wing
@ Ah.. That’s right! Mugen lol Ty
Dude loving you’re content
Thank you for the feedback!
Hey Dino, cant believe I am just finding out you have a YT channel, amazing content
Welcome aboard! ❤️
Work shop goals
Nice vid! Yes, please explore Mugen, Amuse and Seeker!
Thanks! I’ll add these to the list!
@3:20. I noticed that the DC2 has a 4 lug Rotor? So is that a Integra they are making as a Type R clone?? Aren't all type R Integras 5 lig?
Pretty sure the zenki was 4-lug
Do more tuning shop tours.
Another amazing video Dino!!
Your b-roll is so good, what is that slow zoom, not slo-mo editing style called.
Absolutely love it!
Thanks to Larrys page i have another great car guy to follow . Nice work !!!
Thank you!
2:36 Accord Euro R ???
Just awesome man 👍💯🔥
Such a great channel 🤙🏼
Aloha🌴
Thanks so much!
Love that wing
Mugen HQ would be good and also Civic meet ups in japan, also a a vlog on Civic FD2 fan clubs in japan.
With spoon working on the new type r that thing is going to be a monster
Definitely a sub 1 minute car at Tsukuba!
The back of that honda doesn't do it for me as well...I don't know much about cars, but I'm learning. Great content
Thanks 👍
Going to come up with my tuning company. Calling it Fork
thanks bro awesome video
What about some Evo tuning shops ? Love the content keep it up 👌🏻
Nice video :)
Thanks!
Thanks Dino!
Damn that looks so good, FL5 is Japanese made minus the engine. Lovely car
Nice videos bro, you shoot! 🫰🏻👌🏻
Do you just walk in to the workshop and shoot your video? Great video bro!
Not really! Glad you enjoyed it
Nice shop 😎🏁
The rear is the best looking part of the car to me
I'm not knocking it in any way, just something weird about it to me. Obviously a lot of people like them as they are pretty much all sold out lol
We need this car in GT7, with the spoon parts.
What’s the waiting time on a Spoon built engine? That price seems pretty reasonable compared to what Aussie shops charge.
Not sure but if you get in touch I’m sure they’d able to let you know
Maybe the FL5-R is a strong package for the money in Japan, but once it's delivered in the UK it's just shy of £50,000. I remember when £50k was M3 money... Very cool place, though. As a DC5 owner this is on my Japan bucket list!
How much for an m3 now?
Spoon is the best!
I also agree with you on the rear design of the new gen civic in general. even before the type R was released, I said to my self at Honda, no matter what they do with the type r, as long as its based on the normal model rear hatch design, its going to let the car down. Indeed. I think Spoon took the right approach, bang a big wing on it and try to divert attention lol
@Dino DC 😄
And the same with the new integra. I can't believe they can make what was so iconic with the da6, dc2, to this current design..
So cool! 👍🏻
This was really good man! I saw u on Larry's channel and the algorithm got it right today. U got a sub outa me.
Thankyou!
Since the FL5 is no where to be found in my state, hopefully, some M2s are available.
In the US? Surely it's for sale across the country?
@dino_dc northern CA. I got laughed at by the salesmen when I was shopping for one. They said, "Good luck!"
Waiting on that Motec exhaust system
The what?
Dino u have hi Rez photos of this particular FL5? Somewhere I can buy them or download them?
Soon I will offer prints of this and many others! Working on it!
7:29, I feel the same way about the front and rear of this car. Can't quite enjoy the rear view
Mi ricordo perfettamente nel 2006 quando andai da TypeOne, non è cambiato nulla 😍
Si è rimasto quasi uguale, ancora uno dei migliori posti a Tokyo x macchine 👌🏻
I just want the front bumper on the FL - if anyone has a link to where I can buy it that would be great. Didn't see it online.
Honda dealer?
@@dino_dc the aftermarket one on the spoon FL*
Yes the rear end is actually hideous on the fl5. Shame they didnt turn the sedan to the type r instead. Wouldve looked amazing
Honda Feels👌🤙
is it alright for visitors to come inside looking around take photos?
Yes they get visitors daily! You should sign the wall too!
Will be there in june!
Nice!
@@dino_dc yup i'll bring a picture of me with my white ED7 👌 great channel by the way!
What are Spoon doing with the BMW M4? 🤔
Rigid collars?
If you search LEGO spoon type one you should be able to find images of this place that I built out of LEGO back in 2009.
¥1M seems reasonable. 👍🏾
Yes, I wish I could drop an s2k engine off and get it rebuilt there for that price 😅
Is it possible to just enter the place without notice??
Yes 👍🏻
I would like to see the mugen factory next
I'll add it to the list!
Ormai sono passati 7 anni da quando ci andai,da hondista è stata una tappa obbligata durante il viaggio di nozze in giappone, però mi aspettavo qualche pezzo in piu da poter comprare.

Love it
Love Hondas
I love my spoons
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for getting rid of the 100% unneeded triple tip exhaust! That look is horrendous and 100% rice!!
7000usd for engine rebuild seems… not bad for racecar engine work.
J's racing??
Is that a suggestion? If so, yes plan to hit them up at some point too 🤙🏻
RIP Front Lip
Need the KW lifter system!
Sad that all this artistry and workmanship will disappear if everyone switches to EV. I wish internal combustion engine will stay longer so I can enjoy this more.
It will have to as we are just not ready for that EV shift that all the marketers at car companies tell us will happen in a few years
