I love how the daizyujin/megazord toy has gotten so many remakes for the past 20+ years despite there being so many other megazords/mecha. It is truly one of the most Iconic mechas like Gundam / Voltron.

Great review! This thing looks AMAZING! I am not too put off from the lack of weapons because in the show the Megazord did not have a lot of weapons outside of the Power Sword and Mastodon Shield unlike Voltron which had a bunch of weapons but I am disappointed at the lack of rolling wheels and threads especially at $300.00. Again, thanks for the review! I can't wait for mine to arrive. Now if Bandai makes a proper SOC Mighty Orbots I will be set :)
Even outside of weapons, I feel that at least a variety of hands would have been great. It also utilized things like electricity that could have been implemented with an effect part or two.
Just like what they packed in with their Super Robot Chogokin Megazord. I guess you can say the extra weapons are in the form of the Dragonzord & Titanus but of course they are not included. Actually since this is basically the same size as the Legacy Megazord it should fit in Titanus so I am not sure a SOC Titanus would be needed. After the Legacy Megazord the Legacy line started to approach SOC in quality although an official SOC Dragonzord would be nice if not expensive.
this looks cool n all but i agree the price is alittle over...and funny how to old power ranger is getting more spot light than the new...lol...everyone knows the new power ranger is garbage...so sad what they have done to them..
I haven't seen the movie but didn't really like the look of the suits and zords from what I'd seen at all. I wish they'd met more in the middle with the designs.
At last a well-articulated Megazord. I would like to know why both Sentai toys and Power Rangers, to this day are still such blocks. Why do not they take notes of Transformers toys? They also have combiners, which both separated and combined have good joints, while the Megazords to this day can hopefully lift their knees ...
The floppy hands holding GodHorn is a bit of a letdown, but the poseability definitely has no competition on Legacy or the 1993 version. But $300 is really steep. I'm actually quite happy with my 93 Ultrazord being complete, that's enough for me and the power sword is held better in the hand without paint being chipped off compared to the legacy version. Voltron would be the better buy for sure with its accessories and what not. Really good review though
Great review, and the Dino Megazord looks fantastic... but I don't think this is a "must have" even for collectors. $300 is a lot of money (for most) and as beautiful as the figure is-- the lack of wheels, a little bit of wrist instability, lack of accessories (maybe there could have been extra hands or fire explosion effects for assault mode??) makes it a hard sell. I think if anyone has the Legacy Megazord, especially the one that has the stronger knee joints, would be just as happy with that than with this addition. The articulation is nice but I wish there was more you could do with it. Maybe more range of motion in the arms?? Again, it's beautiful but there still is something to be desired, especially at that price point.
Wow awesome Review was actually surprised with the amount of possibility can't wait to see how will Dragon Zord will be BUT!! I can't believe they didn't give this guy swappable Hands? Like a dynamic posed hands and Proper pair of Gripping hands?? I know it's not show accurate but still would of been nice maybe if they do the Dragon Zord it will come with them since it would need it to hold that Drill Lance in Fighter mode lol most likely would come with a stand like Goldy Hammer for GaoGaiGar 😁 hell I'd Even love some Effect parts for Slashing and Blasting would of been perfect oh well.

Great Review. I just got this guy and have been putting him through his paces. Better than I was expecting, but yeah a little letdown compared to Voltron. Don't let that discourage you too much. It is awesome or on par with most other large SOC combiners. He is probably most like the very well received God Sigma.

I'm a fan of both series, and I think there's a natural comparison for a lot of people just because of the layout of things like pilot number, mech number, colors, combination factor, etc. etc... so when you have a toy of each of them released same line back-to-back, at the exact same price point I think the comparisons are inevitable. Ultimately it's up to the buyer though and what they're into.
damn how i wish the soc daizyujin would be compatible with the legacy dragonzord so that we dont have to wait for the soc dragon caesar. it is because the legacy dragonzord is already almost at the soc quality
Voltron was 3 different molds .. all of which were very similar. The 5 distinct molds of the Megazord eat up the cost. You prolly should have saved your "lack of accessories" comment until the end because your review seems pretty dumb after 60 seconds in. Also the Dino Megazord didn't have any other accessories from the show.

the Megazord didn't have the WOW factor in it. unlike the Voltron. which blew my mind away. the Megazord is an okay fig. i would say if you already have the Legacy Megazord. dats all ur'll need in ur collection.
This SoC release is what the Legacy Megazord should have been. It's definitely a "WOW" by Megazord standards, but with Voltron you're getting more bang for your buck.

MMPR is extremely popular and supported on the western end and made before Hasbro got the license. They even made a different box for the U.S. Megazord release instead of just a slip cover like Voltron/Golion.
It's All Good Man it's a toy. A high-end toy, but still a toy regardless. I love the hobby but I refuse to be disingenuous with what these items are. A lexus is more expensive than a toyota, but both are still automobiles. THANK YOU.

They're not going to expect SOC collectors to downgrade and get Legacy stuff for the sake of having it. I think Dragonzord/Titanus are a given.
