Thank you for watching and liking my video. Because of you, I checked the price on Amazon, currently $370 😱 $400 with tax. Man, that's steep. As you can see, this thing holds its value at least. If it was $200 now, I will be "mad". For $300-$330, I will say it is still worth it. Well, FYI, I got mine on July 2019, so with inflation, well, that's how we are having to pay our butts off for things now. You take care 😀
@@uwanitbad It actually was detailed pretty well, I have A great understanding of what it is now. I think I'm going to buy one and throw it in my humvee, I'm pretty sure its probably a little heavy to carry around. Thanks again for the great info:)
A 440 dollar plus canvas, wool blanket sleeping bag. I bought a waxed canvas tarp, nice wool blanket and a bedroll strap with shoulder strap. 169 dollars. Works great.
I bought that Faribault blanket 10yrs ago and it is one of my favorites, and I have 4 Hudson Bay Point Blankets(much more expensive). That Faribault Foot Soldier is the most durable and long lasting blanket I have ever owned. It is better wool than the Filson Mackinaw Cruiser or LRB Boreal(just sold both of mine). It is not the warmest blanket, but it stops wind like no other and it is the most resistant to abuse and neglect. Worth every penny.
Glad that you liked my video. Honestly it wasn’t that good and I still get quite a fair bit of questions from my viewers. I intend to redo this video again someday. Anyway, thank you for your kind words. Appreciate you watching my video. Take care and have a great day.
Thanks for your demo. Looks like a good piece of kit, and you did a fine job of showing how it works. I am a long-time fan of waxed cotton and bedroll tarps.
Good review. I'm thinking of putting one of these on my motorcycle with the wool blanket but may add an air mattress... the thin self inflating one and air pillow in the headrest area... i'm old and need my creature comforts LOL
I don’t know where you are going on your bike trip but I am very sure you will get a lot of protection from the elements. Make sure you know this bedroll doesn’t do well in even long drizzle. Have a great time. Take care.
Thank mate for the video. I’m looking to buy one and watched your video several time to pull the trigger and take the bite. Have you used it often? You mentioned you bought in 2019. How is it holding so far?
I don’t use this bedroll much at all but the quality of this bedroll is very good. It will last you for a long time as long as you do be reasonable with usage. It is of pretty heavy duty canvas. Just a reminder, this is not a bedroll to use on wet season. Have a great day.
This is an Amazon affiliate link so if you want to help my channel use this link here amzn.to/3yKGGkZ. Currently it is at USD $370. Not cheap but I can assure you it is of very good material. Have a great day.

@@uwanitbad I'm using a Fjallraven Ovik Blanket and a wool blanket. I was going to attach it to my Maxpedition pack but I decided to use an Alice pack.
Hi from Canada. Is there enough room inside the bedroll to put a sleeping bag? A sleeping bag AND a small sleeping pad? Thanks for your reply when you have time.
I got one for myself. I've been setting it up. I'm waiting on two different blankets to arrive. One thing I noticed after starting to set it up... No flap to cover your head. That bugs me now. I might end up putting one myself.
Nice set up, Ild say you are ready for the wagon train! All joking aside, I think that canvas and wool is hard to beat when sleeping in the woods. As long as the flying biters arent too bad.
@@uwanitbad Ive used the East German version of the Russian Plash Palatka with a wool blanket as a bedroll in the past and it works pretty well as long as you aren't too tall.
@@turtlewolfpack6061 German version should be pretty decent and by the way it is the tarp version or poncho? Because I tried to search on google it showed tarp and poncho so I am unsure how you used it if it was a poncho.
It looks good but I'm not sure how waterproof this would be. I think water would gather in the side zips and the top stops short so there is no head covering and the water might then get inside from the top?
I bought this in Melbourne when I was living there many years ago. From the label it says "Morgan & Finch home collection" and the back of the label says Bed Bath N' Table. Been using this fleece blanket for many years now. Hope this info helps. Have a great day.
How good is the wool blanket and bedroll at keeping you warm at night? What temperatures have you been camping in and using them? Im curious to get one but im not sure if theyre going to keep me warm enough
The wool blanket is good enough for 50F and also I will have to put on warm clothes too. The bedroll is good at protecting you from drizzle and wind. I thing good about the bedroll is that it definitely keep the mosquitoes at bay. Lastly, this wool blanket is 100% wool and if you give it some TLC, it will last you a lifetime.
Anyway this bedroll is not supposed to use during rainy days. With proper care and waxing, it will repel water well. Also I don’t think the zippers will become rusty if that’s your concern. Otherwise, there is “plenty” of room for a sleeping pad 20” x 72” (1 to 2 inches thick no problem). This bedroll can be handed down to your love ones for many years to come. Have a great day and take care.
Light drizzle you be ok. The zippers are not the sealed type if you get what I mean. Also the head area opening will not prevent water from getting in.
To be honest with you. I hardly use the bedroll. I have been unwell for a long time now and I really don’t know what is going on with me. But anyway, I can let you know that this is definitely a very durable and well made bedroll. It will last you a lifetime so long you don’t go overboard abusing it.
I used it in my backyard during warmer days. I had used it in the 60's and I was still very comfortable just using a fleece blanket. Anyway you must know this is just a heavy duty canvas and the cold air will still penetrate through it. Make sure you use the correct rating sleeping bag as the canvas bedroll is in case it drizzle, at least will still keep your sleeping bag or blanket dry. Lastly, I will not recommend this using bedroll during wet season. It is for good weather so you can enjoy the outdoor and stargazing night. Have a great day.
Looks like a pain in the ass to me... Just roll that wool blanket up strap it on your pack and go... Nobody needs that extra canvas weight specially for 300 dollars
Safer for me to sleep in the open especially I have loads of nasties in our backyard. Yes it is a little on the pricey side of things but I believe with good care I can hand it down to my son.

How manik priice
Do you place the sleeping pad inside or underneath it?
Inside. But that depend on how big and thick a sleeping pad you gonna use.
Do you still like this? Have you tested its water resistance? It’s suppose to do well due to the wax.
