It's a Tremendous Shock When You Discover This - J. Krishnamurti & David Bohm | Black Screen

    16:49 why reject organized religion
35:22 'the centre' is an illusion
39:12 no relationship between me and truth
    49:27 it's absolutely worthless
    53:20 knowledge veils truth
1:00:08 to discover what I've done is useless
In their fifth dialogue, J. Krishnamurti and David Bohm discuss the profound impact of discovering the meaningless of 'the centre', 'the ego', the 'I', and how such a discovery brings with it a tremendous shock to one's most inner being. As Krishnamurti says, the tremendous shock of such an inward discovery could make one either go mad or see something entirely new, entirely different - a transcendence to total freedom.
Clear your mind and simply listen, without judgement or predisposition, as two of the greatest minds of the 20th century provide a roadmap to instant awakening. Don't wait to 'become' better, it happens instantly if you simply See it. #Krishnamurti

Imma save this and watch later. But I definitely went crazy for the first few years no one could tell. But I just kept pushing even though I knew nothing I was seeing was real maybe not even the people I really got lost in a dark chaotic place. N listening to more spiritual stuff was the only saving grace. Then I found him, n papaji, neem karoli baba, arch angel Micheal n Jeshua Ben Joseph channelings. N recently that confusion n fear n madness is starting to dissolve. Do not give up please just keep trying n try and carry yourself in public as if you are just fine. The veil will lift and you will find peace the biggest thing is application, practice and repeat. Those things I didn't do the first few years I just listened n ect. There is nothing to fear it is just life expressing life. Have faith it is all divine order. Maybe your script need that madness to burn up a bunch of karma. You will be fine

This talk from K and Dr Bohm is I m sure made for everyone to learn and understand. However, if one is caught in ego or one s own knowledge, it s only natural to ignore the message in order for the ego to protect itself. On the other side of the coin, one who suffered through life and are passionate and curious about the cause of all suffering without any motive, this talk is liberating. Suffering and the EGO are the same. No suffering, means no more ego! This and many of K s talks uncovered truth in life for ME! Thank you! 🙏

The part of our mind is constantly evaluating our experiences, comparing them with other experiences or holding them up against expectations and standards that we often create out of fear. Fear that I am not good enough, that bad things will happen, that good things won't last, that other people might hurt me, that I won't get my way, that I only know nothing, that I am the only one who doesn't know nothing. Do we see through tinted glasses of whether something is good for me or bad for me, or whether or not it not it conforms to my beliefs or philosophy? Be it religious divisions, what creates those divisions? If it is good I like it. If it is bad I don't like it. If it is neither, I have no feelings about it one way or the other, and may hardly notice it all.
Who created Philosophy, sciences, world histories, poetry, literature, and creative arts, languages mixing for centuries, who holds powers in beauocracies, governments changing, laws changing, boundaries changing? I am a communist, or one chooses democracy. Has there ever been a democracy? Do I identify with which one? A new education with learning in a different direction of the wholeness for humanity.

It is a Great Shock. There can be no relationship between That and me. But I am That, so logically the me must die. The ending of a localized consciousness that I call the me and the arrival of That which is the Isness of all things just happens. No religion is required since religion is just a method to strive for something that we are already. Time is not required. This is a shock that wakes up. All your knowlege is useless.

@@wonderwhaz God can only be conceptualised by Mind and brought into material life by Reflection - either a dull sticky one or a bright one. All that is left is what is from what was and what appears from what is. The ground is the other dimension of Free Will vs Determinism. There is a futility in searching for simplicity of understanding - I guess !

@@marka2188 No that's not necessary. For me there is an I am which is individual but NOT personal. There's no past in it. From the point of view of the self I am may seem like nothing because the latter is such a swift, present and perceptive intelligence in comparison. Just look at the difficulty people have in finding and identifying it even though its right under their nose watching every moment.
A long time ago it seems we started to build up an accumulation of past while gradually focusing our attention more and more on the external reality. It seems to have got to the point now where we have completely disconnected from this inner original knowledge of being without concepts, externalising it into religions and the various modern spiritual paths. 'The truth is out there.' to quote The X Files. Actually it isn't and never was, it's in the opposite direction inside ourselves.

I would highly recommend try to observer your thoughts for more than 5 hours couple of days straight to just learn the art of observation and what the observer is observed really means 🙏

I have listened to JK a lot and he is the most advanced. However, for some, it can become an enormously difficult explanation of simple vedanta explanations
You are not the body or the mind. You are the witness, the awareness. Vedanta calls it brahman without attributes. JK refuses to give a name to it but settles with the term "Choiceless awareness"
If you are not the body or the mind, then obviously everything in thought is not you and hence an illusion. So if you are trapped there, then you have no exit. So from that perspective, there is no relationship between the me (the body and mind) and the truth (the unmanifest, the unborn, uncreated witness).
The great master JK wants to emphasize that no effort will take you there. Sometimes people can read this as "Ok then what am I to do". If you say none of what i know will take me, none of what I do will take me, then what is the route? What he means by that is that "effort of thought and no amount of knowledge" will not take you there, but the simple effort of BEING WITH IT, if you must call it effort, being choicelessly, is necessary and sufficient condition for self-knowledge

Denying knowledge doesn’t mean denying intelligence. Knowledge is limited so it’s place is also limited. Knowledge has its place in some tasks of daily living but it has nothing to do with the pursuit of truth. You need intelligence for that. Intelligence which is not of thought. Knowledge must be abandoned as a collateral cause but not with a desire or an intention. Knowledge creates conflict, as it lingers between known and the unknown. Truth is not a matter of knowledge for one to hold. When you realise the nature of knowledge, the mind will naturally doesn’t accumulate knowledge. Living without the sense of self. Living without the need for knowledge is the highest form of civilisation and culture.

Maybe it's a matter of what is meant by knowledge. There is the accumulation of information that our ego evaluates. Then, there is the knowledge learned by a focus on awareness of what is true beyond the ego. This egoless knowledge is experienced beyond mental reasoning.
What does it mean to live in unconditional love ?

I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you men had known me, you would have known my Father also; from this moment on you know him and have seen him. Phillip said to him: Lord show us the Father, and it is enough for us. Jesus said to him: Have I been with you men so long a time, and yet, Phillip, you have not come to know me? He that has seen me has seen the father also.
As brilliant a man as Krishnamurti is, can he really lead anyone to the Father? You must see him with eyes of faith and through the channel he has chosen. If you would like to know more contact one of Jehovahs Witnesses or ask one the next time they knock at your door

This is very frustrating. Krishnamurti should be able to express himself more clearly. 36:00 What? The center must explode? The tremendous shock after a million years, "you can not have a relationship with truth." That's pretty self-evident. I wasted over an hour with this video. It would be mind shattering if anyone could actually know the Truth.

"you can not have a relationship with truth. That's pretty self-evident" - Why is it self evident? Forgive me, but it seems you have not understood. JK is saying its not possible for you to have a relationship with truth no matter what you do. You have to understand the reason why. First understand what the psychological "you" is. Once you understand what that is, you'll understand why there cant be no relationship between you and truth.

I think what j krishnamurti is talking goes beyond a relationship with god. Because a relationship with God implies duality. I have the feeling that what j krishnamurti is talking about is non duality. That would mean that the ego is no more. I don't quite understand it , because we need duality to function. This thing as opposed to that thing, etcetera.

When God created man,he gave him free will and placed him in the garden of Eden and said you may eat the fruit of any tree in the garden, except the tree that gives knowledge of what is good and what is bad. You must not eat of that tree, if you do, you will die the same day. Man's spirit died the same day and he therefore lost relationship with God the creator. He became a self centered man with his knowledge. He became a sinner ..and the blessed relationship with God his creator disappeared. (This is according to the Holy Bible)
And this is the only truth in this world..and then God came to this world but the people rejected him. He died in our place for redeeming us. He resurrected the third day and encouraged his deciples to spread the good news. The good news is if you repent of your sins and believe him (Jesus) you will be saved. The deciples since they saw him in flesh gave their life for spreading the gospel. Except John all of them died as martyrs in different nations. This is the truth if you believe in Jesus you will be saved and have eternal life after you die or to go to hell and suffer eternally.
