I remember it got hit with a cease and desist unfortunately because it was being teased right as Flame toys was putting their Prime out, but hopefully it will come back
Best prime ive seen in a while. The fact its a non transforming figure is just a huge no from me. I need a transformer version of this.

I wonder if the chest plates are a more durable plastic cause i remember people mentioning the official ones felt a bit on the fragile side
They feel fragile to me. Mine arrived with the chest plates completely popped off.
Does kuro kara kuri Starsaber has a KO version as well? Price of the original is kinda crazy now

This doesn’t look as nicely painted as the original. Is it missing the premium paint finish the original had?
They've gone with a matte finish to the paint over gloss. Personally, I prefer it.

@@skyfigurefun The figure was previously high gloss, not metallic. I appreciate the difference. But also that it won't be for everyone.

@@skyfigurefun Won't know until I have it in hand, but I trust Ben with his assessment of the figure. Joints seem to be toleranced far better so I'm already happy.
Even at the reduced price, it still seems overpriced. There are really well articulated and well painted KO and 3P TFs that are still cheaper than this. Some of them are even triple changers.

Doesn't transform? What's the point then?
I love super articulated, high end non-transforming representations of Transformers as much as I do the official and third party transforming gear. They occupy a wildly different space in terms of my appreciation of what can be achieved with posing, photography and display.
So to answer your question, the point is to sell this sort of figure to like minded people who don't see transforming as the be all and end all.
