Belle isle was a cool street circuit. This new track I dislike.

@@DuvJones I'm hoping Porsche sweep both classes. Seems the BOP is getting better at equalizing out the cars. A few more tweaks and they may have it.

It's going to be a crash fest or a boring procession like F1 at Monaco.
It was quite interesting indycar race. There’s cars do produce dirty air like F1 cars do.
I have my tickets booked for the grandstands at turn 3. Hoping to see some moves there

This track reminds me of Baltimore. Thankfully they did some repaving, so I don’t think we’ll see a Balti 2013 moment when a Vette passed the Dyson and Muscle Milk cars for overall. 😅 However anything can happen on this tough track. 😬

Great preview Stu! Excited to see GTP and GTD Pro cars race here. I also am interested to see how that double pit lane turns out for the race. Might make things less crowded in the pits!

Actually the first z06 gt3 wins was this past weekend at COTA in the fanatec America series. Tommy Milner got back to back 1st place in both rounds. I agree with the #4 pick. Milner is on an all time high I think

Yes it will be during Nurburgring 24H
Yes it will, I believe the IMSA race will start about 6 hours into the N24
@offintheesses it's probably for the best. This replacement course hasn't impressed me.
Could be worse, IMSA could be trying to use that crap-tactic chicago course 🫤

This will be boring like Monaco F1 but not iconic like Monaco.
Why did they switch from Belle Isle to this super tight, super short street course? This could an IMSA version of the Monaco Grand Parade.
I believe it had to do with the City of Detroit not wanting to run the race in the park anymore. Since it is public space it takes quite a bit of time to setup/teardown everything for the race.
Im from Detroit. And your right about the city of Detroit making the decision to move the GP from Belle Isle. Not only that was a factor but also their were the anti racing folk on Belle Isle. They were complaining to the city for years that the GP setup was blocking those sections of the park.
This is gonna be hell. I hate this track.
IndyCar was mid at Belle Isle, but at least it was better in IMSA
I tought Indy was going to be terrible and it turned out fine, let's see how the race goes on Saturday!

It’s the same people that made Baltimore GP and Nashville GP. It’s a red flag
I think the smaller 21 car grid will help a ton here. Larger is not always better.
This is going to be a terribly boring race. This down town layout is awful. Go back to Belle Isle.
This track sucks... All 90 degree turns and a lot of one lane only areas. I like the NASCAR Chicago Street Track lot more than this track, just a better layout.
