People like the Fanstoys Phoenix because is a more stylized version of the character, but for me it's the least appealing since it's the less faithful to the original character.
Phoenix is still my favorite. Best overall build, best face sculpt by far, and I love his "heroic" proportions. Just a truly bad ass looking bot that is fun to transform and looks great in both modes.

I have what I guess is the second release of the Seige Skyfire as mine has no weathering. I do like how they cheated the very tip of the nose into the hips in robot mode so it can have a waist rotation. Not a fan of all the holes in his jet mode, but it is what it is. (I do fold his front and rear foot sections so they touch and sort of come to a streamlined point.) I did mask off the canopy and airbrush the frame white so you get the notch in the leading edge of the canopy. (It's molded in, they just didn't paint it.) I didn't pay attention after pulling the figure out and din't realize he had a flight stand, I'll have to go pull those out of the box. I do think I want to pick up an MP-57 though.
I have found the same about the build. I have had Phoenix for years and it is as solid as the day I got it. My takara had loose parts out of the box, and has not got any better over time.
I have TT Skyfire and he is an awesome figure. The only issue I experienced is that his backpack is difficult to deal with. I have been able to completely transform it though, i.e., get the backpack fully compressed, albeit through having to use a bit more physical force than I'd like. I have to say, though, that these figures are really not for play, and certainly not for rough play. If you want a figure that you can transform back and forth without having to worry, buy a chug figure. Masterpiece style figures are delicate, and rightfully so. They have more engineering, which means more moving parts, which means more potential points of failure. Sometimes I see reviewers being almost purposely rough with their figures almost like they're trying to see how much the figure can take. Welp, the figure can't take much. It's not meant to. It's an expensive high end collectible. Tossing the figure around like a rag doll and abusively manipulating its joints is most likely just going to break it. These things are shelf queens, and pretending they're something other than that is just going to result in wasted money when you inevitably break your expensive figure.
Great comparison. I absolutely LOVE the WFC Jetfire mold so the Vincoroor KO isa my preferred choice. I sold my copy of the TT Skyfire, the quality wasn't worth the price. Different strokes for different folks I guess! lol
Not including the Gerwalk mode as a feature? That is so fair. The sculpt score outcome? Gosh.., seems pretty obvious the FT version is riddled with bulletholes aka visible screwholes, the most. Fugly. And the Membership vote outcome.?, yeah could have seen that coming from a billion miles away.
I'm going to be honest, these may be great, but I am waiting for a potential MP-57 Oversize to happen in the future. I don't even know if it's possible to do. I have MP-57 and love that figure, but even at his size I feel like he's too small, especially with all the compartments, gimmicks, and pockets that he comes with. And, potentially, making the figure bigger might fix all the brittle errors, like the ankle tilt on yours.
I love my phoenix but the knee joint placement is on the upper thigh, and looks really bad the more you bend the legs. And if you want to be picky, it has an extra section behind thr cockpit that kinda unbalances the placememt of the wings, i. E the front is too long. Takara gets the knee engineering right but frankly it looks derpy, mainly the face. I wish TT would quit the Toon accuracy, and return to faithful but 'realistic' aesthetics they started with. Hands down the coolest looking is the siege, and it also has knees in the right place. I wish it came with articulated hands and a clear flight stand, but otherwise I think for pure badass looks it beats the other two.

I actually love Takara Tomy's version of Skyfire and I think Phoenix is actually the weak link as he's very stylized. I happen to love Skyfire so I usually buy most of them, as long as they look the part so I do have all of these figures. Really depends on what you're wanting from him and since I grew up on the cartoon, it's Skyfire for the win. With that said, NewAge probably has the best version of them all.
I know people love the 100% toon aesthetics and more power to you for your preference, but the normie sitting beside me just pointed out that the TT looked cheap. And it just happens to be standing next to a KO. I then had to do the obligatory job as a TF collector to explain that it's the one that most people want. It still blows my mind that a tiny nub was all it needed to fix the issues of that Siege Jetfire. And with all the funding for R and D that Hasbro has, they didn't think of that design-wise. Anyway, great comparison review as always.

I got the MP ko, and the bot mode is excellent, one of the best looking bot modes I own, but the transformation is AWFUL in the backpack section. I'll most likely never transform it again. I might get the osko siege mode at some point just to have a fun Jetfire transformation.
Hello, I'm planning to get both th e Vincoroor and MP57 KO, and hang one of them on the ceiling in its jetmode. Do you remember which one is lighter weight wise?
For me, I have the original Siege figure and love it, but don't want the KO. I picked the Takara figure for my collection because I wanted it to look like the character I saw on TV. As far as the ankle issue, it was doomed to fail. Takara used way too strong of a spring then chose a pin to hold it all together. I have one that failed and I'm sure the other one isn't far behind. I'm planning on seeing if I can source the ankle pieces from the recent MP-57 KO as they corrected that.
I too own 2 Sieges, and have no intention of getting a KO siege. As for the KO mp, I heard that the tolerances are worse. Saw it on mangmotion reviews.
@@atomD21 Tmreview broke his ankles without even trying. If the KO mp has good ankles it shd be worth picking up. Personally I once tried to replace the chromed parts of an MP 10, only to give up when I couldn't get the pin out. Screws are easy to work with. Pins not so much. Good luck on the replacement process.
@@mechgouki7999Yeah, my ankle broke while I was transforming him, not even using the ratchet joint... disassembling the foot and removing that part is pretty easy overall. If I could find even just the right screws, I could replace the pins and fix the joints.
Had I known they were going to KO the TakaraTomy, I would have passed on it and waited for the KO. Definitely not worth the original price. I even got two because he's my favorite Transformer and I wanted to have one in each mode but the fighter mode looks bad with all those gaps. Oh well.

No, Vincoroor is not value for money. I would argue this over and over and over again, and again. I expect an oversize KO to be CHEAPER than the original. NOT more expensive. The Vincoroor simply copied someone else's homework. I expect it to be 70 USD, 80 tops. NOT 105, more expensive than the retail price of a Commander class. No, I strongly disagree, and I condemn this thing. 80usd should have been the max price. This is not value for money, period. I know I am a broken record player now, but I cannot stress this enough. KOs MUST cost less than the original.

So if they want to charge more they can. It is larger, is painted better, uses better materials and improved the design. Due to those reasons, I feel it is worth more than the original. A fake diamond? Not an apt comparison. Fake diamonds are made of weaker material (usually glass) than a true diamond. A fake diamond does not look as good as a real diamond on close inspection. This figure is made of superior materials than the original and looks much nicer as well. So, yes, I'd always be willing to pay a bit more for a K.O. if it is such a signifcant improvement on the orginal. Just as I would expect pay more for a bigger & better diamond. If the quality was merely equal to, or less than, the original, I would not buy the K.O. unless it was priced lower. Fine if you don't agree with that, just try to understand we don't all have to feel the same way as you do.

Seige skyfire wont look like g1 skyfire in jet mode because seige is its own cartoon version. So to me KO and fanstoys would have been a tie

If it were the 11 inch original version I would agree. But the 14 inch version with metal parts added does deserve the extra $20.
