Although you didn’t mention the gasoline (Coleman fuel/white gas) lanterns, I have a couple and wanted to compare. My question is: How long would a propane lantern burn on a full propane bottle? Since there is no way to add air into the propane bottle, as the fuel is used, the pressure will diminish. So I’m wondering how long would I get with a new bottle on a propane lantern?
That's a hard question, I really cant remember but it has a lot to do with how bright you have it as well. I may have to do a test on this to find out. sorry i dont have a good answer for you.
@@twocampinggurus5555 Thanks for the explanation. I assumed you didn’t mention them because they require a bit more technical skill than the propane, as well as, dangerous liquid fuel. Personally, I have 2 Coleman gasoline lanterns and I love ‘em! That said, I won’t let my daughter or her friends tamper with them because they do get very hot.
I have one of those that was in our camp trailer that we sold..the globe is broken..but it's hooked to a Lil propane bottle..How do I safely unhook the propane bottle & make sure it (propane) doesn't leak out??(my hubby is out of town working..)
You just have to unscrew the bottle from the lantern, unscrew it quickly and there should be no problem but as always follow the manufactures instructions
I would have liked to see more veriaty as well as a light comparison rather than just talking about them. Colman has gasoline/Coleman fuel and Kerosene lamps as well and seeing a direct comparison would have been great.
With the original battery I think I would get 5 or 6 hours. I have a new battery in it now and am not sure how long this one will last between charges. Thanks for commenting Adam always good to here from you.
Of course there’s more to consider but those were not the subject of this video. I was comparing the three that I had readily available to me. Thank you for taking the time to comment.
In my experience, Piezo ignitors barely work in colorado due to altitude. Same ignitor taken to Alaska, worked fine.
Good to know, never really thought of that. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Great review. Thanks

Forgot to mention Coleman fuel lantern, my favorite and cheapest in fuel and very bright, you can use white gas or even unleaded car gas in a pinch.
Yes i dont have one but i should have at least talked about it. Thanks for the feedback.

@@totallyfrozen I don't have them to show either.

Great feed back thank you for taking the time to comment. Maybe at some point I can do an updated video.
Assuming moderate use, about how long do you think you can use the battery operated one between charging sessions?

Some guru. Doesn’t mention the classic and superior fuel lantern

I am not fond of dealing with propane..I'm a bit of a chicken 🙄
