OH MY GOD. this was so helpful. the littlest things slip by when you're looking too hard. I was entering 10.0.0.2 into my wired settings. eveything is working as it should now.. thanks for showing this on linux!!!
@Internet User OLED requires more power. Dont know if that's the reason. Imo the e-ink display just fits a lot better for this project imo. I dont think oled would have quite the appeal.
Great video i have a Raspberry Pi 3 i flashed the SD card with the image and that is where i am stuck... could you possible if you get time do a tutorial like a step by step video showing how to set it up using Windows 10 please....
I'm guessing that soldering was involved to put headers onto the Pi. You can activate your lazy-mode by ordering a Pi Zero WH (where the 'H' indicates it comes with the gpio headers already in place for you).
this is so kool, I cant get it built on linux only, darn python3.7 is like impossible to install the requirements. would be nice if someone could finish that thread!
I'm so lost, how do I save that yml file? I have searched the internet and watched this video several times. I open the terminal, paste the code then am stuck. Using Ubuntu
I would like one, but i got no soldering iron... does anyone here... as a spare one xD? Or a tutorial how to build them? DO i need one with GPIO header?
Hello, I do not speak or write English, I use a translator, so excuse me if you do not understand me, I am from Colombia and a student, I want to ask you the favor of having me pvnagtchi to learn, I am a beginner and I have tried to do it but I could not, I am using a raspberry pi 3b + and a tft 3.5 "screen, (due to time problems I could not acquire the pi 0, screen and pins, since in Colombia there are none), which I have not managed to configure, I have the iso installed in the micro SD and I have entered the config.yml file, but I do not know how to place the network, I appreciate your prompt response and cooperation, thank you
You are literally the first and only TH-cam video for pwnagotchi. Bravo
Oi, I saw this like 2 weeks ago. Definitely making one. I love this channel, so much pfsense info.
Now 2 videos exist.
There are more

LOL "Notice me senpai" access point
Very interesting and well-presented... thanks!
Nice :), just a few weeks ago i couldn't seem to find the image, happy to have it now.
I haven't seen a video with this much detail on the pwnagotchi it's an old video but very informative awesome info
It's a neat project.
Go pwngotchi and great work Simone (aka evilsocket)
Can you do a Tutorial how to set it up?
more videos on this please! especiall getting files off of it, setting up bluetooth and gps!!
Waiting on an e-ink display to put mine together. I've been putting it off for a while and following the project :(

Will it get on open Wi-Fi without help?
Thinking i might get started on building one of these to give me an excuse to walk on my off days from working out
Bolt cutters are a useful tool but some people use them for bad things
This is like Pikachu in Pokemon Yellow
Great video but I have to nitpick haha _sudo su root_ is like doing _grep | cat_
lol I remember stealing a few tamagotchis from a bargain bin in the 90s. Once I took them apart and figured how they worked I had no use for them.
YOU!!!
You can use “hammer” in gpio pins, they require no solder
I'm about to take a hammer it it, but don't think that's what your suggesting. Lol.

What happened when you put it back in the pi and turned it back on?

Hi, I want to know how the neural networks are working in the AI part of pwnagotchi ? Can anyone please help.
Please tell me to do it on Waveshare 3.2inch RPi LCD (B) and Raspberry Pi 3 B+
Will like pick up on handshakes to a hidden SSID?
I got in a shit load of trouble using one of these lol
I really like what this is, what they're saying it not , worth the manual install..
Nice video.....tks
Help me out, I’m a simple guy... so the pwnagotchi wifi handshakes but doesn’t actually reveal the password? Have I understood correctly?
It'll only reveal common passwords (hunter2, password1, etc.). If you're using a good (longer, moderate to high entropy) password, you'll be fine
i want to feed it
i want to protect it
i want it to grow and develop
Wait what? 1337 total joined units? 🤔
Seems suspicious
Love your videos. I keep forgetting to ask is that a google chromecast plugged into the tv behind you?
Sure is.
evilsocket makes dope tools
Cool

Anyone know the default login and password for version 1.2.1?
is there any way for me to just have a tamagotchi? I need a friend
Id use it if it were ported to a android app and uploaded to f-droid (and google play store if they allow it)

John Riascos you probably can’t use diferent screen. Did you follow all the steps for installation?
Put one on a drone with a solar charger drop it ontop of a Starbucks, observe
Or.... just walk into sbux.
With the right amount of GPU power you can get past many passwords as well. Brute force style.
Sucks to be the 1338th user I guess
> 1337 total units
what timing
not in focus
SHUT UP!!!....
and take my money.
