    The battery mod can be pretty easy. Besides the obvious, just remove the + from the USB connection. But why use the Rpi Zero? It is awfully slow! Something like the A+ would be a much better option and you could have a decent sized screen.

    hi @Seytonic thank you to talk about the oled display program i wrote (a few month ago) . yes it's still in alpha version ( i need to rewirte it in python3 because python 2 is obsoloete in 2020) normaly i will post an update when i will have some time to work on it.
    i fact you talk about os detection it's only work on my P4wnP1 because you need to have nmap installed in your P4wnP1 (mine have metasploit on i installed to ...) if interest some i can (when i have removed all personal things on mine) upload a directly flashable img file.
    all the sources are on my GITHUB github.com/beboxos/P4wnP1_ALOA_OLED_MENU_V2
    hope you like the unperfect case i've made for it too :)

      spent 12 hours making the one in gideon wolfes tutorial he linked work in 2020 only took that long mostly because i got stuck. gave up. and installed raspi-config and that seemed to get everything working
      gonna be re-doing my own tutorial again soon BeBoX if It works - as in I can confirm that I got it working for a second time. Do you want me to come post it here?
      There isn't really much you need to rewrite as changing all the python CLI calls to python3 seems to have done the job as well as using raspi-config to enable the interfaces after doing that dtparam stuff inside of /boot/config.txt
      I'm gonna be going through all of it again tonight before i post it on github

    • @marcosgarcia8018
      @marcosgarcia8018 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Seem to have found a consistent install
      going to be running 2 more tests tomorrow after work to make sure the instructions are 100% efficient

    • @marcosgarcia8018
      @marcosgarcia8018 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Here it is:
      Made it a docx so it can be compatible with both Mircosoft Word and Libre Office
      Tested and working I even tested to see if doing the /boot/config.txt stuff by hand worked at the very end and it still didn't idk how some people do it I was however - again able to do it with raspi-config
      it is to big to be shown in github however because of the photos
      so you're going to have to download it

    Cool. Adafruit makes a similar HAT and I have a couple of them. I'll have to see if they work with this software.
    Those USB key adapters are definitely useful if you want your Zero to look like a memory stick plugged into the back of a PC, but the OLED display foils that disguise. I suspect that people would find it less awkward to use the menus by simply using a cable.
    Adding a battery is easy since there are a bunch of little addon boards available. Pimoroni makes a "Lipo Shim" that will sit between the Zero and the OLED HAT. It doesn't charge, but it is *very* compact, provides a low-battery shutdown signal, and is not expensive.
