Somehow being in an aircraft as capable as the Felon doesn't change the fact that going head to head with an F-22 feels like you're in a horror movie being hunted by the main monster

The su57 radar allows you to detect a target with an RCS equal to 1 for 400 km. The f22 level target will be counted long before the f22 enters its effective combat range. Also, the target zeroing range is not equal to the target capture range. In order to aim the missile at the target, you need to fly even closer, as a rule, this range is about 2 times lower than the target detection range. At the same time, when the target is captured, the detection station will notify that the aircraft has been captured and will begin counteraction. The real battle will go to a distance of 20-60km. And the one who launches more rockets will win. And simply put, the one who has more planes will win. A larger number of aircraft allow you to use more restraining tactics. I think the BFM flight between the 5th gen aircraft is more than that of one-circle and two-circle, just how crazy those maneuvers were, and the flight becomes more on high aspect than the kinetic management.
Nice match. In the third engagement where he face-shot you, it looked like he did a flat slide in the F22. It's like he ruddered the plane and it slide the back end around and he was able to point right at you. Pretty amazing . . .
Yeah, I agree. Where the canopy opens makes it so it takes away of the field of view, which we saw a bit of its disadvantage at @7:40 . Just that extra second could tell you "Hey, his nose is about to aim for you!"
It's quite clear that in the case of the F-22, it comes down not to the skill of the pilot but rather just technological prowess. One example being the first fight, where the basics of aviation are simply just ignored by the pilot. As everybody knows, the principle forces acting upon a plane are thrust, drag, lift and gravity. Obviously, the F-22 Pilot didn't scroll down far enough on the diagram to read "gravity" so they just act like it doesn't affect the plane.
don't tell OPSEC i said this, but that's actually the secret of the F-22: it's just bees. the entire aircraft is made of bees, and therefore it ignores all known laws of aviation
What no game 7! Honestly love watching you fly against all the guest pilots you get on the channel. All of you know how to get the best out of your aircraft
so awesome seeing two aircraft at the peak of supermaneuverability do everything in their toolkit to get an edge. great fight, both pilots got some incredible shots lined up
2:50 i think it either hit the ammunition hold, causing all the shots in the cannon to explode, or like the afterburner and the engines just exploded, causing the whole plane to explode (?), or maybe one of the missiles, causing both to explode
@@xules2139 The pilot DID die, but because of the explosion, not the other way around, because the moment of death was when the F-22 had its nose already pointing further back from the cockpit. For now what I think is the most believable thing is that one of the bullets hit one of the missiles, annihilating the aircraft.
Exploding like that is probably an error handling mechanism in DCS's damage system. If the damage model errors our the aircraft spontaneously combusts.
Do a "BVR" dogfight with these aircraft where you get Fox-3s and start further away out of detection range. No afterburners until the enemy is detected.
A BVR fight between SU-57 and F-22 is not possible. Both are stealth planes and so they are not able to seach other on radar and therefore they cant engage each other at BVR ranges.
@@Mike_Romeo not to mention stealth fighters are detectable at set ranges. The F-22 is stealthier and likely would detect the felon way before the felon detects the Raptor.

I know this was posted a few months ago but I just spotted it as it was shared on a forum. Very enjoyable and really appreciate the effort you put into the little vignettes showing the engagement from outside. Given the physics of these 5th gen fighters they remind me a bit of the Expanse's (the Amazon series) space battles - and perhaps foreshadow that world.
Awesome video! You're right about the Felon callsign, I've always felt like NATO has been better at giving opposition aircraft cool names than their own. Fulcrum is still my favorite fighter callsign.
There are only so many two syllable words that start with F. Felon was going to come up sooner or later. I'm just wondering what's going to get stuck with Fishfinder.
The thing that I like the most about the Su 57, Su 35, Mig 29, as well as the Su 27 and its Chinese counterparts is the way of tracking the target, that circle that catches the other plane
As evenly matched as they appear to be, I think in a real world scenario the F22 would come out on top more often than not, simply due to pilot training. US pilots get 2 or 3 times as much time in the cockpit than Russian pilots, and get taught dog fighting skills. I think if you put a squadron of US F22's up against ta squadron of Russian 57s, the Russians would get wiped out.
I mean, if we're talking real world then we should probably acknowledge the fact that there isn't even a full squadron of su-57s in service, which would make such a scenario unlikely to come about
Whats crazy is the su57 only just entered service and the f22s been doing fancy flat spins for 17 years already. Makes you wonder what else US R&D has cooked up in the meantime
I've been following you for quite some time. This is one of the most entertaining fight I've seen. You didn't even mention "thrust vectoring b*****it once here.
A realistic fight would be one where the SU-57 gets immediately shot out of the sky (assuming any of them are even flight worthy lmao) and the F-22 is never detected
That was neat. Never seen a plane just get deleted like that, lol. Love to know what the parameters are for that and what else is capable of being just removed from the game, hahaha....
The fight of the titans. After watching yesterday's F/A 18 Super Hornet Vs. Su-57 video, I said that F-22 is the worthy opponent, and today I get to see the fight. Amazing!
Esp with how many new subscribers you have and the increased traffic post top gun, it may be worth clarifying more directly that these are user made mods rather than official modules going forward
There's definitely something completely badass about the raptor. No other vehicle shares that. It feels like perfection and angelic but also like death...

Maybe but at least he still can see the raptor with no problem
F-22 vs SU-57 it's like an F-86 vs Mig-15. Both have eerily similar capabilities it's down to their pilots.
@_DannyPhantom_ I would say they aren’t very accurate since the F-22s capabilities and tech is so classified.

When the Su-57 disappeared, I felt that
I'll always be an F-22 fanboy, but the SU-57 gives it a hard time, and that's a hell of a feat. Also, both of these planes look drop-dead gorgeous.
In the first round the F-22 was like " Want to see a magic trick. I'll make this Su-57 disappear"
@@DeeSnow97 FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT
What no game 7! Honestly love watching you fly against all the guest pilots you get on the channel. All of you know how to get the best out of your aircraft
so awesome seeing two aircraft at the peak of supermaneuverability do everything in their toolkit to get an edge. great fight, both pilots got some incredible shots lined up
Thanks!
Thank you very much, my apologies just seeings this now. Much Love.
There's truly no better description of how the F-22 performs than "F-22 doing F-22 things."
AKA Belkan black magic
growling sidewinder because of u i got in dcs. I can’t thank you enough :)
Always nice to hear about new people getting into DCS, I hope you’re having as much as I did/do.
"F22 doing F22 things" will say, that move was a gorgeous one, well tracked with your head. Awesome visual there.
2:50 i think it either hit the ammunition hold, causing all the shots in the cannon to explode, or like the afterburner and the engines just exploded, causing the whole plane to explode (?), or maybe one of the missiles, causing both to explode
I was thinking he may have taken out the pilot. ?
@@xules2139 The pilot DID die, but because of the explosion, not the other way around, because the moment of death was when the F-22 had its nose already pointing further back from the cockpit. For now what I think is the most believable thing is that one of the bullets hit one of the missiles, annihilating the aircraft.
Great showdown, mixing it up in the last round was perfect chef's kiss!
Exploding like that is probably an error handling mechanism in DCS's damage system. If the damage model errors our the aircraft spontaneously combusts.
It also happens if you do enough damage. Hitting any aircraft with a Kh-66, the MiG-21's AG missile, will make it evaporate.
That second round was worth a movie
Do a "BVR" dogfight with these aircraft where you get Fox-3s and start further away out of detection range. No afterburners until the enemy is detected.
A BVR fight between SU-57 and F-22 is not possible. Both are stealth planes and so they are not able to seach other on radar and therefore they cant engage each other at BVR ranges.
@@Mike_Romeo thats not true at all, the su57 is only partial stealth
@@Mike_Romeo not to mention stealth fighters are detectable at set ranges. The F-22 is stealthier and likely would detect the felon way before the felon detects the Raptor.
@@TzeentchLordofChange doesnt matter either way f-22 will Expose itself no need to jerk it off
@@TzeentchLordofChange but also in reality su57 sensors and radar can easily detect f22

I've been watching you on and off for a year now and dude your editing has greatly improved! Not saying it was bad but man those transitions are silky smooth
I can’t help but watch this channel for hours
Six great rounds, and some amazing flying on both sides. Loved the last round for the tie. 😄
This has been your best video I have seen..... was great to hear your voice strained as you two were fighting
More of this please!!!!
Respect to the SU-57 for keeping up so well with the Raptor (in dogfights). But you should be aware that in this video 75% of the SU-57 jets in the world were shot down.
im p sure not all 75% was shot down but some crashed
still though doesnt change the fact that it isnt a big threat just wanna give some info cuz i got nothin to do with my life except research about aircraft
only four su-57's got produced in 2020 : / and one crashed
It's 2022, the thing is in serial production
What? What is the source?
bruh EVERYONE he meant "in the video", not in the real world
i like how the F22's 20mm gun completely disintegrated the Su57. So realistic lol.
It really is scary amazing how the F-22 can just turn at 0 speed and fight so well.
Go look the 2006 Atlantic City F22 Demo...its nutz!
This was one of your most interesting and dense videos so far! You inspired me on an artistic Idea! Thank you and keep up the good work!
"There's F-22 doing F-22 things."
Couldn't have said it better myself!
It’s either “F-22 doing F-22 things”, or it’s “Su-57 doing that thrust vectoring bullsh*t” 😂
Watching these videos shows me there's a lot more to dogfighting than just turning and trying to put your nose on them..
Love this channel! Binge watching all the videos!
It was 3 and 3, both planes worked equally hard. How did you get dominate from this video?
@@tsushantasingh both dominated, it could be said for both planes
Awesome video! You're right about the Felon callsign, I've always felt like NATO has been better at giving opposition aircraft cool names than their own. Fulcrum is still my favorite fighter callsign.
There are only so many two syllable words that start with F. Felon was going to come up sooner or later. I'm just wondering what's going to get stuck with Fishfinder.
@@jamesrichardson8484 or Femboy

The thing that I like the most about the Su 57, Su 35, Mig 29, as well as the Su 27 and its Chinese counterparts is the way of tracking the target, that circle that catches the other plane
As evenly matched as they appear to be, I think in a real world scenario the F22 would come out on top more often than not, simply due to pilot training. US pilots get 2 or 3 times as much time in the cockpit than Russian pilots, and get taught dog fighting skills. I think if you put a squadron of US F22's up against ta squadron of Russian 57s, the Russians would get wiped out.
also it seems Russians do not maintain the equipment as well so failures can occur.
While I don't disagree with you, I highly doubt you would see them merge and go in to a dogfight. Would be a BVR fight I'd say
@@firestorm517 They'd have to merge because the BVR missiles wouldn't track very well
It also helps that there are about 15 F-22s for each SU-57
I mean, if we're talking real world then we should probably acknowledge the fact that there isn't even a full squadron of su-57s in service, which would make such a scenario unlikely to come about
I fcking love 7:43:

Whats crazy is the su57 only just entered service and the f22s been doing fancy flat spins for 17 years already. Makes you wonder what else US R&D has cooked up in the meantime
The SU-57 is 12 years old from first flight. It just took too long to get going. Russia can't afford it.
The F-22 first flew 24 years ago.

Just seeing the two high end techs come like face to face to each other and seeing just both fighting like two beasts is just another feeling
I feel like the f-22 knew how to execute falling leaf maneuvers more which caused you to lose for the other rounds.
It’s cool to see your skill growth over the last few years. You seem much more confident and aggressive with guns.
I've been following you for quite some time. This is one of the most entertaining fight I've seen. You didn't even mention "thrust vectoring b*****it once here.

One thing I would love to see is a scenario of a “realistic” fight between an F22 and a SU57.

A realistic fight would be one where the SU-57 gets immediately shot out of the sky (assuming any of them are even flight worthy lmao) and the F-22 is never detected
