It’s real, but a bit more complicated than it appears in the video. According to the report, it was grafted to another species of vine (the thick vine leading from the soil), then the sweet potatoes were grown in a pot hanging in midair, which was later removed. It’s not really for production but more of a fun project by a professional gardener.

Am glad here in Zambia we don't have such type of farming we wait for the season to eat foods like sweet potato, maize and mushroom we don't force nothing to grow around here we wait for the right time to eat natural and healthy food grown in the beautiful God given African soil 😊
I can always taste the difference between tomatoes which grow in the real soil and tomatoes which were produced on coco coir bricks and the nutrients were added to the water because the soil has none any longer. It's a huge difference. A healthy soil produces healthy food. I am strongly against destroying the soil and using chemicals instead. Farming is about balance and working with nature, not against it. The Netherlands have many such space and costs saving ideas and their food taste horrible.
Yes I also strongly agree, I also observed multiple this natural thing test is too much diff like hybrid cow milk and native cow now u know even research comes that native cow milk bost immunity but hybrid cow milk increase sugar
The crazy thing is that I've had hydroponic stuff that tasted way better than anything I ever got in a grocery store, because the hydroponic farm actually adds micronutrient solution whereas the industrial farm only gets nitrogen, potassium and phosphate. But neither taste as good as the best organic stuff from farmer's markets and not even that is as good as stuff you grow in your own garden. I grew Cherokee Purple tomatoes in a raised bed this year and I felt like it was the first time I ever tasted a tomato. Absolutely amazing. Flavor like I never even could have imagined. It's only my second year gardening and I've screwed up more than I've succeeded so far but that tomato made me realize just how worthwhile it is.
planting on any substance can produce as good or as bad as others. however the plant require different care depending on what substance it grown on. and if you dont do it right, the plant wont grow to their maximum potential.
Something is not right: look at the leaves is all dried up, apparent transferred of plants several days ago. Also, between the sweet potatoes there are apparent soil/humus still sticking to it. The complete story wasn't been told.
My friend it's not about efficiency.its about producing wholesome natural foods. There are natural and good reasons why sweet potatoes grow underground. Man the spoiler is always too clever for his heart.

I have seen sweet potato grown like this but with bag of soil hanging in the air. These sweet potato tubers look like just removed the bag of soil to show the tubers. Carefully enough you can see the little fine roots among these tubers still with some soil!
They chemically treat almost everything they grow. They literally have to dip their grapes and melons in a chemical bath to make them taste good. They dip their carrots in formaldehyde. We don't need anyone getting farming ideas from china
The future of farming in tight spaces arrived some time back, but it has been catching on fast. I never dreamed that one could grow tubers as a hanging crop. Pretty cool!

Wow! Really, this is a very nice & real fact, Airborne Sweet Potato 🥔🥔🥔 farming technique in this best picturised video sharing by you for each & every, your this U tube channel viewers.
There’s soil right above and around the sweet potatoes 🍠, clearly been dug up from the ground. China likes to make the world believe that they invented things, when in fact they just copied things from USA and from European countries.
I noticed the leaves of the sweet potatoes were mostly drying out. Maybe the videos we're made only for entertainment. It's up for you to judge if what is your observation to this video.
Drying out leaf is no big concern, but the questionable thing is with how the sweet potato hanging in the open and yet the color is not green. When they out and exposured to sunlight especially direct sunlight, the color will change into green and nobody wants to buy "green" sweet potato here because it will (or already) growing bud and the taste is not good anymore. People say if the leaf is good, the root is still small and when the leaf is ugly not in pristine condition (not sure if it means the leaf is drying out), the root is already big and the harvest time is very near
These are truly sweet patatoes, but have you tested the shortcomings of consumming this kind from air instead of the normal from underground? These can be one of those causing cancer !
They basically gave zero information. What is this mysterious solution that they use to grow them? I remember when China was putting melamine in baby formula, the apples in china taste like water, the carrots are a weird colour, they feed cows on 60% cardboard and the milk has almost no protein and much of the rice is actually plastic. I will stick with naturally grown food thanks.
