What a gem! I'm amazed by the innovative method of growing sweet potatoes in pallets showcased in this video. Kudos to the channel for sharing such valuable gardening tips. Wishing continued success and inspiration to both the channel and its viewers!
I live in Canada an I grow pumpkins from 26 to 50 lbs in a small back yard so there is no excuse. Tomatoes, collards , peppers, you name it grows very well for the 3 months of summer we have here. My potatoes are lovely to, so just get started
I don’t see the authenticity of the amount of potato harvest. I think there is a discrepancy in the amount of the harvest if you look closely in the video. They were not from the plants but they were added to show plenty.
Tks for this video, whgat a great idea" @ 2:22 ... It would be great to use an alternative to the plastic net... I have an organic kitchen garden in my backyard and I never use anything made out of plastic... so I'm thinking about what to use at the boxes bottom. Any suggestion?
Great idea in town or city where u have limited space. On my island we just grow them in our garden's and they can grow bigger in size cause it's organic natural soil. We don't water them all we do is make sure there are no weeds. But otherwise that's a brilliant idea if I live in a town/city setting. Thanks for sharing
Did you know that the leaves of Sweet Potatoes are a vegetable? You can cook them like this. Get enough leaves, wash them and leave them to drip the water out. Take 1 big onion and 2 medium tomatoes and fry them. Once cooked, put the leaves in the mixture and fry for about 4 minutes. Then it's ready. We usually eat that with Nshima also called Bugali. It's cooked using Maize flour or Mealie meal. Just try it. It's very very taste.
That is amazing - will be my next project - heaps of free pallets where I live - thank you for sharing - we shall not starve as long as we have the right soil mixture, sunshine, and rain or daily watering - who says GOD does NOT provide in abundance - we own the honor and glory to GOD and Mother Gaia to provide us in abundance always!!! So Be It!!!
Sweet potatoes are such an amazing gift from nature! Boiled sweet potato leaves dipped in a spicy garlic chili fish sauce make for a delicious and nutritious dish. And there's nothing quite like the comforting taste of roasted sweet potatoes. The entire plant is incredibly versatile-from the tender leaves to the hearty tubers, every part can be used in the kitchen. Plus, they are so easy to grow, making them a truly wonderful addition to any garden. It's no wonder why so many people appreciate the sweet potato plant for all it offers. How do you feel about the sweet potato plant?
Don't throw away the Sweet Potato Greens ( leaf) those are edible too. They are a common food throughout Bantu communities in West Africa, and parts of South East Asia. Liberians eat Potato greens like folks eat spinach, very good for you, check out the recipes from Liberia, and other parts of West Africa and Asia.
Yes,many of them,do not knew the leaves of sweet potatoes ,it is a good vegetables in our countries Philippines,,, it isgood for the lack of red blood known as anemia.. very importants vegetables,in all seasons,, 2:58
What is the reason / thinking for cutting the tops and putting them in the plastic containers? Does anyone know to explain please? Not seen that before.
The trick to sweet potato success lies in the magic dance you do around the pallets under the full moon. As for the glue, it's the sticky bond between a gardener and their plants!
