I saw fleshgod on summer slaughter one year without hearing them previously. They started with this song, and I literally thought something was wrong with the audio because the drummer was so fast I almost sounded like something was skipping in the music haha
@@fuzzydunlop0507 ..I love his you-tube channel!! Hes so awesome! The guy is the best today no doubt! His professional ability is incredibly amazing!✊🤜👊🤘🤘🤘😈😈😈😈
I will say this. Not all of their songs are this agressive :) . The songs Cold as perfection, and epilogue gives more of what the band usually does. They don't always just "fuck you over" like this song does but then it is named The Violation for a reason :)
I'd argue that Pathfinder, Minotaur, Kingborn and Elegy are their "masterpieces"...maybe The Fool aswell but damn these songs are a guitarists wet dream. Violation is fast as hell but they're relatively normal metal riffs. In these songs however the guitars are classically written like the lead instruments of the orchestra with the added effect of having them play in up to 270bpm 16ths and playing melodies all the time. Their slow songs that you mentioned (plus Gravity) are also written like that and for just listening they're just as great, but the fast songs have that with a much higher concentration. These songs properly unpack themselfes when you listen to them a bunch of times and really grasp what every instrument does. I believe that's a reason why they called the album Labyrinth in the first place...I'm certainly trapped
I love Fleshgod, this song is way faster than their other stuff where the piano has a more prominent role, they also added an opera singer (Veronica).... I would suggest some of their other stuff, this is more of a shock value song while anything else by them is amazing. (Except blue, that is just a joke song). Whatever you pick if you want to dive into Fleshgod is fine with me... I love most of their stuff.
Better late than never. :) This song is great and deserves your reaction for sure. Thanks! Mat, your guess was right, haha. Chels, the singer ends with a shot in his head after shooting others, so there were no exception. :) I recommend you Sugar and No for next of FA. Btw, that guy who impressed you with beats per minute is singing and playing guitar in that songs. ;)
Oh man these boys are talented, I saw them with The Faceless and Suffocation when they came by. I'd recommend In Honour of Reason from their Oracles album or Elegy from their Labyrinth album. I like this song but it's not one of the best ones for them in my opinion. They can be very... "Wall of noise"-y until you get used to their pace. Love these dudes though!
...greatest shit is that Francesco Paoli is playing guitar now in the band. He was guitarist before but learned to play drums pretty well (he is the blast beat dude in the video). That album is my fav of all Fleshgod...pretty much bast beat or so whole album.
Saw them live in a little north carolina bar back in 2018 they were playing with Whitechapel and Black Dahlia murder. Awesome band and got a black eye in the pit that night haha. My first wall of death at that show too to 'the fool' by them. One of my favorite death metal bands
If you guys haven't yet heard SepticFlesh, please do a reaction of their song "Dark Art" or "Dogma of Prometheus". They are one of the first symphonic death metal bands, formed 1990 in Athens, Greece. Their guitarist Christos studied composition at the London College of Music under the guidance of Martin Ellerby, Head of the Composition department, acquiring his Bachelor of Music in 1999. He continued his studies in Composition/Orchestration earning his Master’s Degree in Concert Music. Their "Sinfonica Infernus..." live has a full orchestra with them, so..... Also Chris's brother, vocalist / Bassist Spiros is an artist, who has painted album covers for bands such as Kamelot, Moonspell, Paradise Lost, The Foreshadowing, Devian etc....
i was waiting for this one! 😍 also, agree with MahliZ, their other songs have a bit more symphonic elements and are a little bit more chill, you should definitely check out some more!
Day 205 of asking for Parting Soliloquy by Black Tongue. Food supply is running low, the others have begun eating each other. I'm not entirely sure how long I can hold out in this bunker anymore. If you read this message please make sure Mat and Chels get it asap, my life may very well depend on it.
@Mat and Chels React Ready for some crazier stuff from Epica? Something heavier than the first song you did. It's a live performance, including a nice mosh pit :) Consign to Oblivion - th-cam.com/video/dkqyyUTCMUQ/w-d-xo.html Enjoy!
I am not an apologist for this type of music. Some music is all about playing as few notes a minute as possible other music is not..... Try Origin. Try Nile. Try Psycroptic.

That was the only time I missed them play live. I didn’t know of them yet.
The endurance of the drummer is on another level!
And he wasn't even a drummer 4 years before he recorded this song!
@@Module79L I know the new drummer is Eugene Ryabchenko, just as fast lol
it's not a drummer , it's a F**** machine gun =d

Love this song. "Holy beats per minute Batman" made me chuckle.
Saluti dall’Italia 😃🇮🇹 (greetings from Italy), this band makes me proud of my country ❤️
Good username I see you're a connoisseur
EUGENE!! IS AMAZING DRUMMER!! I LOVE THAT "NO VIDEO"!!😈😈😈🌚💀✊🤜👊👊🤘🤘🤘

I would say that Oracles and Mafia was their prime

Blue is still amazing id argue
But yes its a joke
I still think their first album is overwhelmingly the best one, but that's just a matter of personal taste.
Dude, Blue is god tier!
Can't believe this is the first time you two have dabbled in FA!!
Check out their newest single "No". Its fantastic
Hell yesss!!! \EUGENE RHBACHINKO/!! AMAZING DRUMMER!!!!🤘🤘🤘👊🤜✊✊😈😈🌚🌚💀
What instrument do you play in the band?
Drummer: the machine gun
Saw these guys open up for Decapitated years ago in NYC! I was blown away!! I’ve seen them 5-6 times since then. Straight Italian Death metal!! 🤘🏻
Fleshgod Apocalypse is one of my favorite bands!!! I’ve saw the band live twice so far. Fantastic musicians!!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
So good live! Loved them since Oracles came out.
damn i love this band .technical symphonic death metal
This song blew everyone's minds in 2011, especially mine, haha. Glad you two got to it. I have the CD.
Try The Forsaking (my fav and really beautiful) or Epilogue (really excellent too) from them. Less "slap in your face" and really more melodic
The Forsaking is so beautiful!
The live version is crazy with the drummer cam =D
Monnalisa would be a better introduction to them. Fantastic video with much better production.
hell yeah^^
ehh monnalisa is the complete opposite of this and way less heavy than their usual stuff. I still believe epilogue is the best introduction.
And story begins... You might want to see song "NO", its probably easiest song to get about all thingies from Fleshgod apocalypse.
One of the TDM Gods (pun intended), and one of my all time favorite bands! I call them Royal metal lol
Better late than never. :) This song is great and deserves your reaction for sure. Thanks!

I know it's a lot to take on a first listening but man, your faces! Especially Chels'! Priceless! xD
Drummer turned up with a machine gun and they said, ok
The Forsaking is a little bit slower and melancholic song from the same record that I really think you guys will enjoy. Please check it out:)
The epilogue or Monalisa for your next fleshgod song. 🤘
Fleshgod Apocalypse - Thru Our Scars would nice to get a reaction to.
Drummer is back on vocals and guitar now :) Def check out their video for Cold as perfection...Halloween shirt fuck yeah haha
One of my favourite songs
...greatest shit is that Francesco Paoli is playing guitar now in the band. He was guitarist before but learned to play drums pretty well (he is the blast beat dude in the video). That album is my fav of all Fleshgod...pretty much bast beat or so whole album.

Guys check monalisa or sugar those 2 songs are amazing less faster but still heavy 🤘🏽🤘🏽
Yaaaasss italian style 😁😆
The vocalist was the one playing the drums in the video if i am not wrong..
We need More tech death on this Channel, Archspire: Relentless Mutation or Beneath The Massacre: Rise of the Fearmonger. Or boath 😄
Great as usual👍🏼🤘🏼
Excellent picks! I also recommend them "Archspire - Human Murmuration".
I recommend Thru Our Scars drum cover by Eugene Ryabchenko

SION - The Blade
This is not even the fastest song in the album. Songs like The Imposition and The Betrayal are faster.
Fleshgod apocalypse - Elegy
