It's funny, they started working on the Absolute Universe a while back, but now? It's more relevant and important than ever. This is a DCU that feels actually like, having a reason to exist as stories beyond continuing the brand. Having Kal more like his Golden Age self in this way is really good. The Absolute Universe just feels... good. Like, comics having meaning and being about something beyond their plots. Idk, it just feels like this is important. I'm glad the story is being so blunt. Blunt is good. Blunt is needed. There's no good reason to be subtle anymore. Subtle just means ignored or misunderstood. Absolute DC is the most excited I've been for comics in ages, even over the new Ultimate Universe. And I really love the new Ultimate Universe. There's things being said, but it's also more focused around the lore of Marvel and what's gone wrong and that sci-fi concept. The Absolute Universe uses the same framing device, but there's no "make it right" thrust. There's just "this is what it's like because of that".
Gorgeous book! I also like how Krypton was reimagined, (love that there's a "Middle Management League" - if one of them makes it to earth, will they be called "Middleman?") I like the return to Supes being a working-class hero, and ... *OF COURSE Lois puts a ring on it in issue 1!!* (talk about being "the ol' ball and chain")
I am really impressed by all of the Absolute comics so far. This one has a devastating variation on the Superman story and an interpretation of Superman that I, and I think many people, really want to see again. Its going back to early Superman where he was more willing to directly fight the harm done by institutions. That is something that the character lost as he became stronger and more idealistic, it would be too easy for him to fix problems so he can't actually do so in an ongoing story.
It absolutely succeeds for me. It does everything that I wanted it to do and has some nice surprises too (Jor and Lara, Clark's super speed design, and the S shield origin).
I love what they did with the Els being farmers, maintaining Kal’s humble upbringing. I dare say, probably a hot take…it’s almost an improvement over the original origin. Almost. To me, it’s not like Kal’s parents being scientists mattered all that much to his overall character aside from them designing the ship that took him to Earth, which I’m sure Lara being an engineer here will play a big part. The only tricky thing about this change to write would be how the Zods’ relationship with the Els would be like
I think its actually a multilevel joke. This is based more on the Golden Age Superman who was Kal-L (rather than Kal-El) and so the crest usually be for the "House of L" suggesting the symbol is in this case "L" as in "Laborer".
I like the take in all seriousness. If the entire universe is a take on the heroes being a greater power BECAUSE by their nature they inspire hope. Beautiful art, I didn't object to the lore going back to Krypton being a caste system as I always kind of loved that thematically and I'm wondering if the suit is Kelex performing the role of keeping Kal alive in the way the eradicator protocol was supposed to. Yeah. solid story. 8/10.
With Superman's stories often being the ones that are the closest tied to Darkseid it makes sense that his energy infects Superman's story the most. I am definitely fascinated by this and not just because of Brainiac, but for the what Zod will be like when he does appear as well as Supergirl if they do show up.
Absolute Zod could have been a sympathizer to the "Men of Steel" and attempted a coup against the Clerics to stop Krypton's destruction. If his worker buddy Jor told him "The planet's going to explode", he's round up the military and try a hostile takover and get booted to the phantom Zone.
Enjoyed it. I like how in all 3 books you get a sense that all characters are serving the people. If DC does it right it can be a very strong message for today's readers
Seriously, this is the most I've felt like the DCU _matters_ like... ever? These feel like stories with a purpose. It really feels like an embodiment of Grant Morrison's Supergods theory, with them being modernized for the modern world. Embodiments of justice, truth, and hope can't be a billionaire, a chosen one, and a good-hearted upper middle class God in our world anymore. It's just too disconnected from reality. It's too fantastical. The concepts they embody aren't outdated, they don't need to disconnect from the concepts. It's not their good nature that's the issue, it's where they come from. They have to disconnect from the social roles they possessed and come from more human roots. The Absolute Universe feels like the distillation of the wisdom of what drove the Marvel Universe combined with the large than life myth figures of DC, and it is good. Justice from the oppressed, truth from the damned, and hope from the ashes.
@@PosthumanHeresyExactly! They feel like Heroes again in a way that DC lost quite some time ago. They've been Gods floating above men for so long. It's nice to see them be of who they protect.
A return to the Superman who's fighting against corporate and government greed is a pretty nice change of pace. Not that I don't love Big Blue otherwise, but if you're going to change something while still keeping at the essence of the character, this is a good route. We'll see how it plays out.
Something I really like about Absolute Superman so far is how they're embracing an aspect of Superman from the Golden Age comics, where he was a champion to the oppressed, someone who used to beat down abusive corrupt bosses and domestic abusers. This Superman going up against the Lazurus Corporation and the Peacemaker soldiers to protect the wellbeing of these lower-class Brazilian miners is really in character for Superman going back to the routes of the character, even if he's more realistically brutal in this incarnation. It's also refreshingly nice to see Superman and Batman grow up with their birth parents (even though Absolute Batman lost his father, his mother is still alive and well). BTW the reveal of Lois Lane as a soldier for Lazuruz had my jaw drop and caught me off guard, so Im excited how they will develop her in the series and explore her dynamic with this Superman, whether they end up as lovers or not? Not to mention, Im excited to see this new take on Brainiac, who seems more grounded and less of an alien conquerer and seems more like a human infected with some techno virus, making him into Brainiac (possibly Lex Luthor?)
I'm so glad and honestly surprised with this comics, while technically having a darker feel (courtesy of Darkseid), it doesn't feel like edgy nonsense. It's very interesting to see the characters in a new light and with a new origin, but their core seems to be intact. Which may be a pretty good metaphor, no matter how hard people like Darkside try to make things harder, there will always be heroes willing to help those in need.
I had hoped to pick this up Wednesday but was too busy. Life is getting in the way of comics, lol. Hoping to get it tomorrow. Thanks for the review! Another channel had a "meh" reaction (his words), but I'm still excited about it.
I appreciate that they called back to Lara Lor-Van's career as an astronaut (see the "World of Krypton" miniseries in the late 1970s, for example). Here, she wanted to do that but was prohibited. Also, I haven't read this yet, but will be very disappointed if we don't have Jor-El saying, "Krypton is doomed!"
Seing you use the word verisimilitude (and correctly too!) just just added a smile to my face, and another reason to stan you, our comics queen! Is it me or does Absolute Superman have a certain Brazilianess to his look? Heck, they should just make his home base be Brazil this time around, as his ship could have arrived anywhere on Earth, take a little freedom you know? Maybe eventually turn his suit into green, yellow and blue, and his civilian human name Carlos Câncio (literally Karl Kent, closest Portuguese aliteration name to Clark Kent I can come up with).
Honestly i appreciate that it's not very subtle. The metaphor of Krypton has never been subtle. Also love the idea of Darkseid taking special care to really drag Superman through the mud cuz out of the Trinity he's probably the one he hates the most. Can't say yet which one i like more between this and Wonder Woman yet, but really looking forward to where both books go.
I’m interested in these concepts and the changes, but I’m more excited for Absolute Flash and Absolute Martian Manhunter. Of course we’ve only got first issues so far, so I have no clue how these ongoing will evolve, but I’d like them to really lean into them being new iterations.
@@newairnation6280 really? I'd be very excited if so, but from the preview of wally having tons of electricity and yellow and red visions seemingly in his head, it does seem like he'll be drawing from a Speed Force or Speed Force substitute, rather than going back to the Pre-Crisis era where Flash was just a fast guy who could vibrate his molecules.
My favorite part of this Superman is that the design is paying homage to the Mullet + Black Suit combo. Personal favorite Superman design unironically.
I absolute-ly love how you breakdown comic books! There are so many details that you pointed out that I missed. I appreciate the way you deliver your videos.. keep up the wicked awesome work!
I like that we get to see a version of Kal-El have an interesting life on Krypton before he revealed his existence to the public when he saved the civilians from Lazarus Corps. Jason Aaron his done a great job of providing backstory and origins to this version of Superman. Overall, this comic is onto a great start.
I love this 1st issue! It makes such simple but tremendously effective changes that remix what we recognize in such a thorough and clever way! This 1st issue ABSOLUTELY made Superman feel special!
9:05 the suit is shifting around and talking to him? oh it would be cool if it was like the parasite armor like from that new superman anime. like imagine the betrayal, the fight, and chance of the parasite armor becoming that robot superman guy. i want the drama!
I love how both companies put out an initiative based around just letting the writers have more freedom and both are overall great and fresh and doing great sales.
9:01 Jason Aaron definitely took inspiration of Kal-El from *DC Mech by Kenny Porter* Both keep the Name their birth name Kal-El Both Kal-El have their memories of their parents and Krypton. Both of their powers are suits with Kryptonian tech based and have an AI. Kal-El in DC Mech has Kelex Kal-El in Absolute Superman has Sol. Both landed on Earth as an Adult rather than a baby. Both carries the guilt of being the last survivor of Krypton. 9:23 / 9:38 *“Because I don’t want to be the sole survivor of a planet ever again.”* Kal-El, DC Mech issue 3. 10:41. This is might be either Braniac which is an interesting idea to see a version of Braniac who is a born a human being on earth. Or this might be Toyman. As the Mysterious person say *New Toy.* I would be interesting to see Toyman in comics. I can remember the last time her appear in comic. I mostly remember Toyman is from Tv series Winslow Schott Sr and Jr: Superman Animated series, Static Shock, and CW’s Supergirl Jack Nimball: Robot Chicken. CW Supergirl only as a toy Hiro Okamura: a villain Justice League Action. And Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League(I feel bad for that version of Hiro) It definitely not Lex Luthor because remember I say Lex Luthor might not be the main villain in Absolute Superman. Remember I say Conduit? Seeing Kal-El Powers having Tech based armor. It is more fitting Conduit to be the villain in Absolute Superman, because Conduit has tech armor that helps Conduit channel to power from Kryptonite. More scary compare to Metallo who needs Kryptonite to live and movie.
Parts of Absolute Superman really reminds me of Justice League Gods and Monsters. Really wish that universe was giving more breathe. But anyway the idea of Superman still at his core representing hope and wanting to help, but having grown up in a far harsher world from a far harsher perspective. I like it. Superman is still Superman, but he's shaped by the harsh reality he's been subjected to.
What I'm so far loving about the Absolute Universe is that as dark and gritty as it is, the writers still actually *get* the heroes. Batman chopping off hands but still an idealist, Wonder Woman raised in hell but still full of hope, Superman being an off the grid alien, but still trying to help people.
Im interested! Very curious to see what the other changes to superman will be. I think my only sort of weariness is the whole Clark being old enough to remember Krypon thing, because it just feels a bit like they are giving him Kara's backstory. Obviously, there are other differences, but idk. One of the things I've always found really cool is the culture clash of Kara raised on Krypon versus Clark raised on earth (and something that is often tragically under-utilized). Maybe they'll swap them and Kara wont remember Krypon, which could be cool, but it still feels a bit off. Regardless, im still very excited to see where this goes, and im sure I'll enjoy it. But that does haunt the back of my brain haha.
I only read two of the absolute DC comics so far, and I can say that they have a very indie comic feel about them, from the art to the writing to the heavy handed theme and preachiness. I love it. I also have the suspicion that they named the universe after a vodka brand to hide the fact that this is the DC Proletarian Universe. lmao
Absolute Superman is great, definitely my favorite of the Absolute line so far. Though that might change once Flash and Green Lantern come out. Did anyone else think it was kinda silly that so many things on Krypton started with the letter K? They say the science counsel is on top, but the real leader was King K. Rool the whole time!
What's really interesting about this re-iteration of superman is that it goes back to his actual origins. In the 1920s, Superman actually was written as a character defending the working class, laborer's etc. He was someone who stood up against exploitation. Then in the course of the 1930s and 40s became the more 'conservative' character preserving American nationhood. In many ways they are going back to the underlying themes of the 1920s, but with a more interesting exposition. Ironically, the themes of our time, the 2020s, seems very similar to what people were dealing with a hundred years ago. Thanks for the vid! I think, I just might buy that comic.
I had the same thoughts of the future villain forecasting broadcasting being a Lex/brainiac combo. I think that would be incredible especially if there is a recovery arch
Judging purely off the covers, I was expecting this to be my least favourite of the 3, but honestly, it's my number 1. I'm very precious about Clark, and kinda weary of big reimaginings but as soon as they mentioned the S shield being for the labor guild i was in, having Superman's priority truly be the beaten-down, lowest rung of the ladder underclass is a great move. I love the interpretation of Krypton here, its a horrible place with so many reflections in our own world. I'm in the UK where our class system is way more ingrained than it seems to be in the US, all the stuff about miners here really makes me think about Thatcher's assault on the UK mining industry in the 80s. Putting Superman solidly on the side of the common people is just so, so good. Truth, justice and a better tomorrow. Really excited to see where this is going!
Love all the absolute books (and a bunch of DC all in as well - JSA this week was great). Absolute Batman was my fave - it just had so much energy and excitement. One of the best first issues I have read in a while.
Still not sold one the universe, at least not enough to spend money, but the promo-art for Absolute Martian Manhunter and it's set -up did get my intrigue, so we'll see how that goes
I really like it! But I think they could’ve made Superman a spoiled rich boy from Krypton who’s planet was destroyed when he was at the top of his life, making Batman the poor one and Superman the rich one
I'm fine with the few moments that rely on prior knowledge seeing as he is the most well-known superhero ever, everyone who's even remotely heard of Superman knows the basic story beats, so even the most casual of readers would know the significance of a destroyed farm for example
I’m Brazilian, I was trying to figure out the whole time where in Brazil this was taking place lol. My bet is on a favela in Minas Gerais, since they mentioned Cachaça and “Minas” means “mines”, but not much else to go on. I don’t think the writer thought much about it either way and that’s fine
I want these comics so bad. My local comic shop is always sold out of these popular comics. Example: I spent ten months tracking down all the Ultimate Spider-Man comics.
Absolutely Awesome! Loved Them all, My favorite of all of them is Batman! I hope to see more of them and hope they finally unite as the Absolute Justice League!
With the recent Ultimates issue having released recently, I’m curious on your opinion how the Ultimate universe compares to the Absolute one. They’re coming at a similar time and even seem to be doing similar Repositioning of Status Quos and the like.
Okay this has inspired me to check this story line out. I wasn’t interested because I got another evil Superman vibe from the prerelease info. This has given a little hope this could be something new worth reading.
I'm enjoying the. More gritty versions of these characters so far. They feel more raw and less predictable like anything can happen so I’m looking forward to seeing what they will do from here
Liked this a lot. I think it excites me the most of the three in wanting to see where it goes next. I can't honestly think of a superman story with him narrating before, so that was an interesting touch. I didn't find anything heavy handed, given how used we are to a Krypton like that.
The Uniforms for social class is actually something that dates back to Greece, and Rome. Up until the 1500s people were expected to dress a certain way based on their class by law.
I liked the art in this issue. I wonder if we'll see Lazarus Corp and the peacemakers in Batman and Wonder Woman. I guess I was one of the few who liked the New 52 Supeman. I think I'm going to like this Superman. But, both Superman and Wonder Woman in the Absolute universe are inately good. While in the "regular" universe it seems their upbringings instilled goodness. Nature vs. Nurture.
My pitch for Absolute Superman: Just like usual he's found by the Kent's but this version of Clark has blue skin and red eyes. He's raised and home-schooled by the Kent's as he watches humans from afar. Appreciating them and loving them though fearing he'll never truly be one of them. He's essentially hidden from the world. When Clark is a teenager he's found and then tragically and dramatically taken from his parents by the government. We flash forward to when Clark is an adult and he now lives at an army base. He's a government issued hero. His handler being the daughter of General Lane, Lois. After a mission he has the first chance in years to sneak off for a couple hours before the Government finds him again. He heads home to the Kent farm for the first time in over 10 years. He has a teary reunion with Martha but it's revealed that John had already passed away. Just like Krypton, there is no true going back. Clark goes up to John and Martha's room where he meets Lex. See after Martha and John lost Clark they eventually adopted a Lex as a boy. Lex stands before Clark and tells him that his whole youth he's been compared to Clark. His perfect brother. Lex tells Clark to leave. As this is no longer his home. This is a Superman who despite his loss and how he's been treated still is a kind soul with a big heart. Also I like Lex and Clark being brothers. K bye.
“Whoa. That cover looks like this comic might be edgy.” *takes note of Sasha’s gorgeous and distinct hair and makeup theme for this episode* “Oh yeah, this comic is definitely gonna be edgy.”
I'm intrigued by how these versions will evolve going forward and what will happen will happen in the future when new writers take over these books if they even do take over.
I really enjoyed Absolute Superman! It’s heavy handed in places but I like Rurouni Superman and I can’t wait to see where Aaron takes it. That Braniac tease was my favorite part! I think I like it more than Absolute Batman and I can’t speak on Absolute Wonder Woman cause my copy never came in my pull box. Hopefully I can read it soon!
Superman has my strongest interest long term. Him being raised on Krypton and getting his values from there and a Lois being disconnected truly gives me the vibe of discovering a new version of the character and the character itself doesnt give me the edgy vibe I was fearing but instead carry a sadness I find compelling. Batman had the best first chapter and I love the Alfred and I really like Black mask as a starting villain. However things are just close enough to classic Batman that I could see myself losing interest quickly and a reference to Joker so early disappoints me rather than exites me. Wonder Woman has not given me a strong impression for now. For now the villains are generic monsters and I was hoping Diana being raised by cersei in hell to be reflected either from her being more jaded from hell or more crafty/duplicitous from Cersei but she felt fairly typical making her change feel the most cosmetic so far.
Still don't care about this universe, but I find your description of this Krypton interesting. It seems like they combined the worst aspects of both pre- and post-Crisis Krypton.
The new Krypton is giving "Post-Crisis Thanagar" vibes. Only with scientists as the "elites" rather than police officers. Whether this is a good thing or not is up to you.
New 52 Action Comics Kal is peak, and if this one continues down the path of improving/remixing that version of Kal and focusing on helping working class people like the early Golden Age stuff, even after Brainiac, Absolute Superman will be an all-timer. I think one of the issues with New 52 Superman is that he never really felt like he went back to doing that after Grant left.
Can't say I'm thrilled with Lois being given the position of an agent in a story like this. The dynamic already flashes before my eyes - Kal basically talking down to her at any moment, showing her enire world-view to be just objecitvely wrong, and she should be ashamed of herself, and everything she stood for. Whole thing making her a way better material for the main character, as she would be the most dynamic one in the story, but still every problem will be solved by Kal instead, since he is the lead, which will make her feel just like a worse person. I've seen such dynamic many times in recent years. It's sparsely done right. Not in a story which identifies affiliation to certain broad environments as pure evil. Well, we shall see.
We need absolute Booster Gold, he's now actually from the past and comes to the future with better quality clothes and tech that was actually built to last and becomes a super hero hitting people with Nokias. He's the only one around with reliable tech that doesn't break in 1 year which makes him extremely capable.
What do you think of the Absolute Trinity?
Not sure with batman, completely in love with kal and diana.

Or Slave..... Maybe ?
Brasil mentioned!!! Let's gooo!!🇧🇷
Boraaa 🇧🇷🇧🇷
Bora!!
I really liked the ways the lore was incorporated in this. It was very smooth, and like I said in the video, deliberate.
In every universe, whatever you do don't listen to Jor El. Seems to be the case on Krypton.
I’m interested in these concepts and the changes, but I’m more excited for Absolute Flash and Absolute Martian Manhunter. Of course we’ve only got first issues so far, so I have no clue how these ongoing will evolve, but I’d like them to really lean into them being new iterations.
I really love the look of Absolute Martian Manhunter! Gumby/New Frontier vibes.
Imo, it looks like Absolute Flash will be embracing the worst aspects of the Flash, that being the Speed Force.
@@ProjektTaku Jeff Lemire said the Speed Force doesn't exist in the Absolute Universe.
Awesome video! Rafa Sandoval’s art works so well with the absolute vibes, about how everything comes from darkseid energy
9:01 Jason Aaron definitely took inspiration of Kal-El from *DC Mech by Kenny Porter*
Both keep the Name their birth name Kal-El
Both Kal-El have their memories of their parents and Krypton.
Both of their powers are suits with Kryptonian tech based and have an AI.
Kal-El in DC Mech has Kelex
Kal-El in Absolute Superman has Sol.
Both landed on Earth as an Adult rather than a baby.
Both carries the guilt of being the last survivor of Krypton.
9:23 / 9:38 *“Because I don’t want to be the sole survivor of a planet ever again.”*
Kal-El, DC Mech issue 3.
10:41. This is might be either Braniac which is an interesting idea to see a version of Braniac who is a born a human being on earth.
Or this might be Toyman. As the
Mysterious person say *New Toy.*
I would be interesting to see Toyman in comics. I can remember the last time her appear in comic.
I mostly remember Toyman is from Tv series
Winslow Schott Sr and Jr: Superman Animated series, Static Shock, and CW’s Supergirl
Jack Nimball: Robot Chicken. CW Supergirl only as a toy
Hiro Okamura: a villain Justice League Action. And Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League(I feel bad for that version of Hiro)
It definitely not Lex Luthor because remember I say Lex Luthor might not be the main villain in Absolute Superman.
Dang!!! I was waiting on your review. Had to watch 2 other channels that I couldn’t finish lol
😅
Now I can get the review that I need. 👏🏿
Oh my god the Superman symbol is the hammer and sickle of Krypton. Give me hero of the laborer Superman!
I love it. I also have the suspicion that they named the universe after a vodka brand to hide the fact that this is the DC Proletarian Universe. lmao
His design reminds me a bit of Kell El, from the LOSH cartoon
Superman X? I can see that!
@@CasuallyComicsit's mainly the emo hair tbh 😂
I was thinking of "Kara NOOO" haha.... Cursed panel callback!
Clark and Bruce coming from the bottom is something I can get along.
Love the start of Superman in the Absolute universe. DC has brought me back with the trinity Absolute titles.
Love all the absolute books (and a bunch of DC all in as well - JSA this week was great). Absolute Batman was my fave - it just had so much energy and excitement. One of the best first issues I have read in a while.
I loved JSA!
Yeah let’s go with the Charlton Peacemaker video soon!
Aughhh I cannot wait for issue 2!!!
It was an enjoyable read seeing superman as…blue beetle i guess? Jokes aside i think this trinity is going to be so much fun
I am looking forward to when they start to meet each other.
The ART is on point
Still not sold one the universe, at least not enough to spend money, but the promo-art for Absolute Martian Manhunter and it's set -up did get my intrigue, so we'll see how that goes
I really like it! But I think they could’ve made Superman a spoiled rich boy from Krypton who’s planet was destroyed when he was at the top of his life, making Batman the poor one and Superman the rich one
11:05 I'm not the only one seeing X-O Manowar right now, right? The helmet design is almost exactly the same.
It does.. 😂😂😂 valiant should sue..
Calling it now. The suit will eventually become Braniac.
Of the Absolute titles, I like the Superman one the most thus far.
I read this yesterday. So far I’m very interested in seeing where it goes, though so far I think my favorite of the three was Absolute Wonder Woman.
❤❤❤ omg 😱
I haven’t see one of your videos in like a year 🎉🎉🎉
Of the first three AS draws my attention the most.
It seemed to me a reference to Serra Pelada and maybe, reaching a lot, Mariana
I’ve been waiting for your review of this.
Imagine a DCU with classic and absolute elements!
I want these comics so bad. My local comic shop is always sold out of these popular comics. Example: I spent ten months tracking down all the Ultimate Spider-Man comics.
Cool! This sounds like an awesome story.
Been waiting for this since release
Lex and Brainiac combined goes back to the Silver Age. So do I actually.
DC loves a Braniac and Lex combo
Wow, that old? I always tend to think of the DC Animated Universe one when I think of a Lex/Brainiac combo.
I think the absolute universe is going to be quite the critique of the way society is now. Im 100% here for it
So good!
Absolutely Awesome! Loved Them all, My favorite of all of them is Batman! I hope to see more of them and hope they finally unite as the Absolute Justice League!
I looked at it but decided to put back. Nice artwork but it just feels like an elseworld on going.
I'm all in for a rougher Duperman.
Heck, still hoping the Gods and Monsters universe can see some expansion.
Nature vs. Nurture.
I like Jason Aarons work and the art looks fantastic. I'll give it a shot
I got the sense he is part sun stone and the suit regulates the energy
My pitch for Absolute Superman:
Just like usual he's found by the Kent's but this version of Clark has blue skin and red eyes.
K bye.
Im gonna puck up this comic this weekend hope it's good.
“Whoa. That cover looks like this comic might be edgy.”
*takes note of Sasha’s gorgeous and distinct hair and makeup theme for this episode*
“Oh yeah, this comic is definitely gonna be edgy.”
This comment is made respectfully and humorously.
I love your TOS Romulan Commander cosplay.
Lois is taking fashion tips from Faora, and I'm totally here for it.
Sounds pretty neat. I still don't know about these though. I need more. I may grab a trade when they come out, but I'll have to see. I don't know yet.
Still don't care about this universe, but I find your description of this Krypton interesting. It seems like they combined the worst aspects of both pre- and post-Crisis Krypton.
I have a feeling your summary and analysis is more interesting than the actual comic.
