@T0m_ H I think the gaming industry learnt a very good lesson from Cyberpunk, it is better to remember it. I think it is also why a lot of games are delaying themselves rn, obviously also due to COVID but I think cyberpunk also plays a hand in the amount of delays. It's good that games are getting delayed

Beyond Good and Evil 2- I remember being hyped for it when I was about 14, a few years after finishing the original. I'm 27 now. At this rate, at least I'll be able to gift the game to my grandkids.

@@blueninjanoname7338 From what I remembered it was a simplified Zelda (action-adventure), but with some race gameplay mechanics and photo gameplay mechanics. I would say it is a classic. Not too long though, which can be actually a good thing. I am not sure what they'll do with the second, but it is Ubisoft anything can happen.

I wanted to borrow it but it was still 60$ and he heard about my copy of morrowind and he wanted to borrow that even though you could find a used copy for 20$ at the time. We traded games for a good month or more because those two titles were just amazing for that era of gaming

Doubt it. There is no way they wont see it as a good time to get people to 1: Have to buy a new $70 dollar game and 2: Force people to reset and lose all their cool stuff from gta5 online so they feel more obligation to spend more irl cash to get all the cool new stuff

Can't believe this game is not expected until 2023 at the earliest. Just sounds to me that they are trying to do too much and put too much into the game. Which means they will spread themselves thin trying to add in tons of features, they won't notice a lot of mistakes. Minecraft blew up because of simplicity. Hytale could blow up. Or it could crash and burn for trying to be larger than life.

When it's ready usually means good things, unless they going through development hell. If they say that and it never releases then it probably sucked so hard they didn't want to push that garbage out.
Little Devil Inside I need to play ASAP whenever it comes out, it looks so fun. Theres a 1st person horror called "ILL" coming out and it looks so freakish, I need more. Also theres the "Abandoned" game which has upset a lot of people so far for its controversy, but I really hope it ends up being real and comes out eventually.
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2... Has been in dev. hell for quite a while too, I think I'd like to try it, but it's been through so many studios at this point, I have no idea what it will be like.
Had such high hopes when it was revealed in 2019 that I preordered it then and there. Brian Mitsoda was attached to it... Previews looked great... Then it fell apart. Then System Shock 3 fell apart. Hopefully Homeworld 3 will still release at some point. But it's still a long way off.

I am still waiting for that game that got shown off at ps5 reveal little devil inside, before that they where giving regular updates on their kick starter, then just dropped off the face of the earth once they got the PlayStation money. A lot of people were pissed at them on their Kickstarter but they haven't said anything in over a year at this point.
Yikes... sorry to break the news, that game is getting internally rebooted. Cyberpunk/Anthem treatment. Entire dev team got kicked off, switching to another Studio. Chris Avelone out too and all his work is thrown out.

I've learned from Prey 2 to not expect a game even if the studio says it's being worked on. Never expect a game until its out. Hurts less that way. Also never expect it to be some great thing or ground breaking. Expect it to be decent. Hurts less that way.

i agree. i admit i came to the franchise with Andromeda and loved it and it made me get the legendary edition now i am absolutely hooked on the Mass effect universe.
The combat was a big step up, but the redundant far-cry style world quests were kind of uncreative and there were a lot of weak characters. Biggest issue was cut content though, they had way bigger plans for ship piloting and like way more new races than just 2, all of that stuff got cut. If they can deliver on those and clean up the conversation wheel a bit (bring back para/renegade) they could make something pretty sick, that newer combat system is killer.
Someone remembers "the day before"? It was announced a few years ago during cuarentine, it looked so amazing and I was so hyped. They released a gameplay and I haven't heard a word form it for almost 2 years now
Still iffy about that ending. They failed storywriting school lesson 1. Henry didn't get his sword back. He was still loyal to Sir Radzig and friends with Sir Hans, and the conflict in Bohemia had nothing to do with Henry's sword. The sequel could've been established either way. It would've taken extremely little to end the game on Henry getting the sword back, so that the ending would've felt like actually finishing a story, and been actually well written.
Silksong is a game that I routinely forget is coming and then I remember it again and I'm hyped all over again. It looks really good so far, and Team Cherry's putting a ton of time into Silksong to make it as good as they can, and no matter how excited you are for the game and how much you want it to come out, you gotta respect the sheer amount of effort these people are putting into this sequel to make sure people enjoy it.
I waited for Kingdom Hearts III and it was honestly a massive disappointment. Then Cyberpunk which is still a mix between "I love this!" And "fuck I hate this buggy game!" Won't wait that long again.

Bioshock 4. It was just recently announced that it is in development, but the real question is "How long are we going to be waiting on its final results?"
I remember when Skull and Bones was announced around the same time as Sea of Thieves and everyone thought they might be duelling competitor games. Then SoT got released in 2018, and SaB isn't expected to come out in like, 2023 if ever. Ah well.

That game cancellation was the reason I didn't end up getting an Xbox One until 2018. It was really the only game I actually cared anything about on Xbox back in the early days of the console.
What about 'Star Citizen' a game where they keep deciding to add newer stuff more stuff. They've released alphas and betas however there's no word of a full retail style release.
Why release a game when they can continue to milk the backers for enough money to buy a third world country? 🤣🤣🤣 Once they do release it then it would actually have to live up to its promises and 325 years of development. The release date is currently unknown. - Pikmin 4 - Was announced to be in development during fall 2015 in a interview. It's unknown then the game will be released. It has been rumored to be atleast once being rebooted during development.
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2, has been in development since 2006. White Wolf was sold to CCP games, then was sold again to Paradox interactive in 2015. It was supposed to be released in March 2020.. but you know, 2020 happened. Should be released sometime around Christmas 2021.

I am still waiting for that game that got shown off at ps5 reveal little devil inside, before that they where giving regular updates on their kick starter, then just dropped off the face of the earth once they got the PlayStation money. A lot of people were pissed at them on their Kickstarter but they haven't said anything in over a year at this point.

I've learned from Prey 2 to not expect a game even if the studio says it's being worked on. Never expect a game until its out. Hurts less that way.

Honestly wanting a new Mass Effect. Andromeda got really mixed reviews but after the major patches it was actually a really good game.
i agree. i admit i came to the franchise with Andromeda and loved it and it made me get the legendary edition now i am absolutely hooked on the Mass effect universe.
The combat was a big step up, but the redundant far-cry style world quests were kind of uncreative and there were a lot of weak characters. Biggest issue was cut content though, they had way bigger plans for ship piloting and like way more new races than just 2, all of that stuff got cut. If they can deliver on those and clean up the conversation wheel a bit (bring back para/renegade) they could make something pretty sick, that newer combat system is killer.

They failed storywriting school lesson 1. Henry didn't get his sword back. He was still loyal to Sir Radzig and friends with Sir Hans, and the conflict in Bohemia had nothing to do with Henry's sword.
The sequel could've been established either way.
It would've taken extremely little to end the game on Henry getting the sword back, so that the ending would've felt like actually finishing a story, and been actually well written.
Kcd is a game from 2018, not that far ago.
Silksong is a game that I routinely forget is coming and then I remember it again and I'm hyped all over again. It looks really good so far, and Team Cherry's putting a ton of time into Silksong to make it as good as they can, and no matter how excited you are for the game and how much you want it to come out, you gotta respect the sheer amount of effort these people are putting into this sequel to make sure people enjoy it.
I'm definitely looking forward to both Atomic Heart and that Crimson Desert game looks pretty slick.

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2, has been in development since 2006. White Wolf was sold to CCP games, then was sold again to Paradox interactive in 2015. It was supposed to be released in March 2020.. but you know, 2020 happened. Should be released sometime around Christmas 2021.
It's Christmas 2021 already but there's still no word from development. Don't mind me as I crawl back into my depressed state of existence. I still can't believe it's nearly 2022 and we still don't have a single decent vampire game on this planet that doesn't have prehistoric graphics. SMH

2 of the biggest ones were missing here, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 and Star Citizen. Okay Star Citizen was probably too obvious, but we've been waiting since 2004 for that seaqual. As soon as I finished the first game for the the first time, I needed a new one!
