I think that's nice that you did a man and then you choose the very right one an icon like Elvis Presley that was a smart that was a smart move you know that was a great
OMG! For men, I have a laundry list: James Dean, Clark Gable, Montgomery Cliff, Marlon Brando, Russ Columbo! I think secretly men have more of a beauty routine than women, they just don't talk about it.
Oh I agree about men not talking about their grooming or " beauty " routines though much of that has changed indeed. That said I would suggest Cary Grant.
Fun facts: E's first cologne that he liked and continued to wear throughout the years was Lenel by Lansky Brothers Clothiers on Beale street. Also where he bought alot of his clothes throughout his life and Mr. Lansky dressed E for his funeral. If you look at the bathroom death scene pics, he had some Avon bottles on the counter. Thank you for sharing this! TCB ⚡️
my dad used to wear it and so the scent takes me back to my childhood.!He used to fill his car shaped decanters with Brut. It’s so strong in a not good way, I’m an old spice person :)
Hi Laura ...wow the King, that was interesting. I would love to see some info on the beautiful Lana Turners skin care/make-up products. She was the epitome of Hollywood glam and a natural beauty. Thanks😎 Bridget
I don't have any Vitalis, but I did have Vaseline and some pomade on hand. I put in the Vaseline first, rubbed in and really well and then the pomade after. It looks incredible! Thank you!
This was a good one Laura! I am a huge fan of ELVIS!!! 👑 I would love to hear about Spencer Tracy!! I think he was 1940 and 50s. He was an amazing actor!! He played in the very first movie FATHER OF THE BRIDE. He played the father and Elizabeth Taylor was the daughter!!👑💗☕☕💄👍🎀💐💟💟
I heard that when they performed his autopsy, his hair roots we completely gray! At the age of 43, his full was completely grey. That’s why they started dying it black. He was getting gray hair at the age of 25. It was hereditary, his father had a full head of gray hair at the age of 35.
I was frustrated with dry flyaway hair once. I used vaseline to tame it down in desperation. Back then there was only shampoo, conditioner and spray available. It was horrible. I couldn't wash it out. A salon gal washed it out. She told me never to do it again! As if I wasn't embarassed enough!
My Significant other uses vaseline in his hair but I doubt he knew Elvis did the same. I use the vaseline on my eyelids since watching your channel . It really has stopped my eyes itching and it really does help the eye make up stay on.
Ugh, Brute 33. The Axe cologne of the 60s and 70s. Another singer who sang at some of the same concerts as Elvis was Buddy Holly. After he died in a plane crash in1959, Buddy's brother went to the crash site and found his carry on bag which contained all his grooming items. There is a photo of it on the net, so will be easy to research. :-)
Great video! Can you do a video for Desi Arnaz? Also, will you be doing any videos showing your thrift store buys? I miss watching the oufits you'd put together.
Vitalis was so popular. My dad used it. So was Brut and Canoe. In the movie Play It Again Sam, Woody Allen poured Canoe all over himself before a new blind date.
I have been wondering what kind of lashes and lash glues was used on Hollywood actresses in the early and mid part of the 1900s. We’re they disposable or did they last a couple of uses?
My grandfather literally bathes in Brut 😂 Please continue doing more videos of men. Women are so supportive of them - wish it was also the other way around.
The problem is things don't smell the way they use to because they keep messing with the formulation so you're not getting the authentic fragrance of what they once wore, am I right?
Laura, please consider Robert Pattinson..he may not be Old Hollywood, but as handsome as he is, I would love to know what beauty/grooming aids he favors.💜

OMG! For men, I have a laundry list: James Dean, Clark Gable, Montgomery Cliff, Marlon Brando, Russ Columbo! I think secretly men have more of a beauty routine than women, they just don't talk about it.
haha totally!!!
Oh I agree about men not talking about their grooming or " beauty " routines though much of that has changed indeed. That said I would suggest Cary Grant.

Thanks this is really helpful. Never thought about vaseline but definitely trying it. Elvis was the Absolute Best.
And he used eye liner on top of his eyes. Which one is best?
The King! According to Priscilla, Elvis also mostly wore OLD SPICE as a cologne daily. There's a great little clip of her talking about it on you tube
I love this! I love your channel. It's so cool that you're doing a man, for this series. Please do James Dean, if you can.
Thanks! Yes he is next
my dad used to wear it and so the scent takes me back to my childhood.!He used to fill his car shaped decanters with Brut. It’s so strong in a not good way, I’m an old spice person :)

Thanks for watching
Brut was brutal so strong. Yes like serial killer noted love seeing male stars included.
Please do Lisa's favorite beauty products! 😍
Now I just need some blue suede shoes and I'm good to go, thanks.
Elvis dyed his hair black in the 50s to emulate his favorite film actor- Tony Curtis!
I did not know that Tony Curtis was an idol of his. Cool.
I heard somewhere he did it to make his hair look better on tv, in the black and white area
He started to dye his hair black in 1957, the same year he had a nose job.
Hi Laura ...wow the King, that was interesting. I would love to see some info on the beautiful Lana Turners skin care/make-up products. She was the epitome of Hollywood glam and a natural beauty. Thanks😎 Bridget
Laura Jane, you look like a vintage Chic Kristen Dunst. Love it!
I love Elvis. :) He also loved to use Neutrogena soap. Great video! :)

I don't have any Vitalis, but I did have Vaseline and some pomade on hand. I put in the Vaseline first, rubbed in and really well and then the pomade after. It looks incredible! Thank you!
My grandma said She was front row at an Elvis concert and while he was performing he kissed her
I wore Brute and my friends would tease me about it. They said they knew I’d been in the area before they ever saw me. I just loved the classic smell.
The music you use is like ASMR to me, it’s so peaceful 😍

I love it!! My suggestion for a male video: david bowie
The King
Thank you for the video about Elvis. I haven't heard those colognes in a long time. Canoe and Brut.
He used vitamin a and d ointment on his face and lips as a moisturizer.
Would like to see Rita Hayworth and Ginger Rodgers and other 1930s and 1940s actresses.
I heard that when they performed his autopsy, his hair roots we completely gray! At the age of 43, his full was completely grey. That’s why they started dying it black. He was getting gray hair at the age of 25. It was hereditary, his father had a full head of gray hair at the age of 35.
Mary Quant would be interesting. Not sure how old she us but I know, still alive. I just saw her exhibition at Victoria and Albert museum - amazing
Hi, Laura can you please do a storage video on your personal makeup/ the products used for these videos?
Brüt had those first men's personal care boxes of scents that were gift boxes everyone got for gifts back then.
My dad uses Brut. I love the smell.
Hi I enjoy your videos and think it would be interesting if you did Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers
Please do all things Sophia Loren. I sooo love her 😍
Can you do a Priscilla Presley inspired clothing haul? 💕💕
I just got Vilalis today and didn’t know Elvis used it, wow
My Significant other uses vaseline in his hair but I doubt he knew Elvis did the same. I use the vaseline on my eyelids since watching your channel . It really has stopped my eyes itching and it really does help the eye make up stay on.
I want to smell the cologne now
I used to wear brut - it was so popular in UK too 👍🏻
Ugh, Brute 33. The Axe cologne of the 60s and 70s. Another singer who sang at some of the same concerts as Elvis was Buddy Holly. After he died in a plane crash in1959, Buddy's brother went to the crash site and found his carry on bag which contained all his grooming items. Ok thanks great idea
He liked "Royal Crown Hair Dressing", too, for grooming his hair!
You should do Michael Jackson’s favorite products
Thank you for the amazing video 👍🏼👊🏼
It's also said that Elvis used Royal Crown during his days with Sun. Him & Cash both.
My dad always had a little bottle of Brut when we were kids
Great video! Can you do a video for Desi Arnaz? Also, will you be doing any videos showing your thrift store buys? I miss watching the oufits you'd put together.
Vitalis was so popular. My dad used it. So was Brut and Canoe. In the movie Play It Again Sam, Woody Allen poured Canoe all over himself before a new blind date.
My father wore Canoe back in the 50s and 60s.
Bruh I’m only twelve and I really want my hair like his😂
Thanks for this video!
Please do James Dean 😃
I heard he favored, quite heavily, Black and White. Do tell!
I have been wondering what kind of lashes and lash glues was used on Hollywood actresses in the early and mid part of the 1900s. We’re they disposable or did they last a couple of uses?
Awesome very cool ty
Elvis utilisait brut..vraiment un garçon juste naturel qui n'avait pas besoin de grandes marques de parfum....j'en suis étonnée..😮😮❤❤❤😂
I'd love to see a video on 60s Paul McCartney or George Harrison ❤
My dad always uses vitalis he’s 67 w a full head of hair and didn’t go grey till late 40s he never used anything else in his hair
My grandfather literally bathes in Brut 😂
Please continue doing more videos of men. Women are so supportive of them - wish it was also the other way around.
I am a boy but I agree with you, us boys need to treat you girls better
The problem is things don't smell the way they use to because they keep messing with the formulation so you're not getting the authentic fragrance of what they once wore, am I right?
Funny thing that most cats in the 50s 40s and even 30 and 20s they used Vaseline petroleum jelly for go to pomades
Pretty
Laura, please consider Robert Pattinson..he may not be Old Hollywood, but as handsome as he is, I would love to know what beauty/grooming aids he favors.💜

This GROOMING title is misleading. I thought I was going to get some game tips on dating younger woman.
