I thought i was gonna hear the same stuff like this camera can record in 6k opengate but these features you mentioned are actually really interesting that i never knew about. Thanks for this!
I've watched a TON on Panasonic S5ii vids this last week as I researched it before buying, this is the ONLY video that showed that focus keyframing one. Absolutely awesome!
Great vid mate, the focus transition looks very useful 👍
Thanks a lot. This is a really helpful video. I’m looking at upgrading to the S5 ii and what I’m seeing is incredible!
great great video for these rare yet precious options
I’d love more details, please. Very refreshing as you’ve not covered just the obvious attributes of the camera.
Thanks, I'm glad you like the video. I'm hoping to make another top 4 list soon and also dig into the focus transistion. Don't forget to subscribe (if you haven't already) to keep posted. :)
Thank you for these excellent tips. Deeper dives on the focus transition and the frequency adjustment would be great.
You got it!
This is an incredibly informative video- cheers!
This was very useful Luke - Thank you for sharing - It is amazing that these features were so advertised and one of the many selling points of these amazing cameras, and they are not featured so much in the general awareness online. And you presented this in such a friendly, humble, and easy-to-understand manner, that it kept my interest all the way. Cheers for this.
Excellent video. THANK YOU
this is so cool and useful, especially the subtle tracking in an out. What i dont understand is how you control focus during the live crop? Not only does it not let me control the focus on the screen, but also i cant see my focus point, how do i actually set this? like if its moving from left to right to reveal something on the right, eventually you want to focus to shift there, how do i do it? I can do it manually but maybe i want to tilt the camera at the same time
Hey, thanks for your question. I think inwas doing it manually. I'll have to do some more tests. It would be amazing if we could combine the different tools in cam though!
These was a really helpful video! Thanks for sharing these tips!
Thank you so much for sharing 😊
Great video, Thank you.
Would like to know more about 24hz. Especially if it helps with judder and makes video look more like film cadence
I love this kind of tutorial made by enthusiasts. Great job !
Please share more. I would have never known or looked for any of this before now. Thanks.
More videos on the way soon! 😀
Great and informed video. Looking forward to forthcoming content on this fantastic camera
Thank you! Been a bit busy lately, but new stuff is on the way 🙂
Great one! I would really like you to cover the best features of this beast, since I am interested to buy the S5IIX and they are basically the same.
THIS video made me an immediate subscriber!!!
I don't own this camera yet, but one day...one day I WILL be a proud owner.
Thanks for sharing these secrets of this fantastic camera.
Thanks for your amazing comment! Fingers crossed that you manage to get your camera soon🤞
Nice video Luke, straight to the point with no waffle. If you've got time could you go through the camera settings for night filming. Ta
Good job !
A lot of these features have been around since GH5 I believe.
Top!
This was a great video!
Personally I'd like to see the more in depth video on the focus transitions, but I understand if it's not something you can make a whole video about.
Great video mate..have watched loads of vids on this camera and your the first ive seen mention those first 2 secrets..
Also makes me laugh that I move all the way to Australia from Wolverhampton, only to be unskilled by a fellow midlander :-)...keep up the good work mate
Thank you. Didnt know about the focus transition coming from a X user
Omg that first crop feature.... Is that available in the S5 mk1 also?? Please say yes 😂
Hey, thanks for your question. Unfortnatley I can't remember if this feature is on the OG S5, apologies.
@@LukeBrownFigmentoFilms no worries at all, I found out myself that it's unfortunate not...
hi! thanks for this vid.
question, how do you control exposure in open gate filming? perhaps this topic might be worth another video? cheers!
Hey, thanks for your comment. You control exposure the same as the regular modes. All that's changed is that rather than cropping to a 16:9 image, the camera will instead record the whole of the image sensor. 🙂
Nice informative video
Thanks

Holy shit
I've done it with all of my cameras manually for 6 years
live cropping vs digital cropping in editting ? any difference of quality ?
Hello, I am a Lumix S5II user. I have a question that no one has been able to answer. How can I see the exposure meter on the screen while recording video? I would greatly appreciate an answer if one exists. Thank you so much.
My old and trysty gh5 has this feature since 2017
Yes, fantastic camera. I had the GH5S!
@@LukeBrownFigmentoFilms gh5s has even better image quality. I like panasonic very much. Gh6 and s5 will be my next cameras.
could have mentioned synchro scan on theat last point. otherwise amazing video
I shot my first wedding in NTSC frequency, the lights flickered so bad that I had to download a plugin to remove it
Been there, it sucks big time. I used Flicker Free. I'm coming up with new list for my next video. I'll try to include some of the inbuilt tools that help deal with flicker. Because even when you're in the right frequency, not all light sources are. Oh the joy I've had with flickering lights.lol
@@LukeBrownFigmentoFilms Thats the plugin I used, it actually worked really well and made the footage usable. Since upgrading from the S5 to the S5ii I have noticed there is frequency scan but haven't tried it yet. I have subscribed for future tips
Use synchro scan
I wonder how it would look if you used live cropping with a slider lol bother going opposite directions
L.L Cool Cam 🤯
🤣🤣🤣
If 9 by 16 overtakes 16 by 9 we have failed as a society.
Lol. Blame social media. I’m still waiting on their feature for videos to flip to full horizontal when turning the phone sideways.🤷🏽♂️
I blame the kids 🤣
doesn't work on mine. Not on obs anyway, it worst for webcam test online, and character animator, but very very laggy. I can't stand it.
Spoiler these are not secrets at all, ALL THESE features are as been available on Lumix Cameras since the GH5!!!
People open your camera manual once in a while.
Are you sure? Because I only found them by pressing "up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, start" 🤔

You should indeed make more videos on Konami products. These are nothing new in Lumix camera and certainly not "Secrets"
