The fact that it’s a robot ruins it, seeing him walk, talk like a human and swear with a human voice is what made the first one good. didn’t he kill people because he gets seen walking talking and doing things, now that’s a standard part of the doll, it’s dumb (Chucky had a personality too, where did that go)

The only time Mark Hamill should have his voice used with Chucky is when he’s doing it on Robot Chicken.
Loveblanket ya he only did some but he did them really well, rather have the few really good roles then a lot of average roles and the quality of his acting in person is debatable and opinion based so don’t tie me to your opinion of his acting. Also I never said he was a great actor I just liked him in that parody in Robot Chicken.

I just saw it last night on Amazon Prime, I wanted ALL the characters to die in the movie. The cop, the mom, Andy, those kids, everyone in the store. I hated that they turned 'Chucky' in a mix of Skynet and Alex from Fatal Attraction.
That's the problem. Someone set Buddy to 'Evil'. Lol "Simpson's did it! "

This is the first review that I saw where someone HATED this movie.
I keep hearing that the characters actually matter to the audience, most loved andys mom, Chucky had a personality, and the other kids were really good.

The Chucky/Child's Play franchise is my favorite of all time... Although this random remake... Absolutely upset me... I'm still hoping they continue the series where "Cult of Chucky" left off, I'm a fan of the whole series.

Just watched another TH-camr's review. He stated the exact opposite. While he wasn't expecting to like it, he ended up really enjoying it. He said it was very gory and funny, but thought the cinematography was cheap. You guys stated the exact opposite... Amazing how people's opinions can differ.

You mentioned him being able to overpower you. You DO know that metal and hydraulics can be stronger than human capabilities, right? I actually felt the opposite over this one detail, and thought the idea of the doll being robotic explained its strength better than the possession idea.
Dustin Wallace You DO know this Chucky doesn’t possess hydraulic press strength, in fact I’m pretty sure he got held down by Andy who is only 13.
Are you aware Chucky is a child's doll that doesn't have hydraulics in it that can overpower a full adult male?
Firstly, this is a review made right after the release and he tries to not give spoilers. Im addressing his comment that the strength possessed by the doll makes more sense, to him, coming from a supernatural cause rather than a mechanical. I said that it makes more sense to me the other way. There are hydraulics used in things other and smaller than presses and to make a robotic joint move that would be a plausible component. Even without a hydraulic though, its easy to give an example of being nicked or pinched my a mechanical device to know that machinery, even small parts, can damage human tissue easily, or require more force than you would expect to pry or move if met with resistance.
Matt Justice are you referring to the original or remake. The original has moments where the doll is strong to a questionable degree and also moments where he is not. He is strong enough to stab a knife through a door, yet contained behind the chimneys guard piece which is mostly mesh.
This Chucky has no hydrolics it's poorly made and I mean the kids held it down and Audrey tore its head off easily

Seed is meh. I will say this Curse and Cult are the some of the best movies in the series.
Cult of Chucky just came out in 2017, now this just 2 years after. They must have started making this new one pretty quickly.

This movie is dogshit. I was bored throughout the entire movie. Nonstop cringy dialogue, references to better movies, and the most generic story. Original blows it out of the water, this movie is a failed abortion, even bride and seed of chucky is better than this. I'll be looking forward to the continuation of the original series.

I loved the film, I liked how you feel sympathetic for chucky because he’s just trying to be Andy’s best friend and because of what Andy and his friends watch and say all chucky is trying to do is making Andy happy by doing what makes Andy laugh and smile. 4/5 I prefer the old look of chucky but the relationship between Andy and chucky in this one is more emotional and has a bigger payoff
Great review, but after watching it myself you have to accept it as a totally different franchise. We all love Brad Douriff's Chucky, but this clever satire on consumerism and technology obsession was as effective as Andy's arc, most especially in his emotionally pact bond with that doll.

As a horror movie remake, it is great. Especially in comparison to Nightmare on Elm Street and Halloween. It does things differently and isn’t just a copy paste reboot like any other one. Honestly don’t know what Joe was expecting with this one haha. Not saying it’s a perfect movie or anything, but it’s definitely enjoyable. As a long time fan of the series, I dug it. Especially knowing that we aren’t done with the Douriff movies.
Right this was good as hell, they was going in think it was like the og, they forgetting tht this is a ai bot tht is learning as he goes so ofcourse chucky was mimicking wht he saw and was a little doofy, but as the movie went on he got smarter especially the way he made e everyone think Andy is crazy, wht until the nxt one, chucky is gonna be on another whole another lvl

At least better than what Mancini did with Child's Play 3 and forward. He was pushing it with Child's Play 2 and then it all got stupid after that one. Chucky movies are like most other horror franchises like Nightmare On Elm Street and Friday The 13th. Good and original ideas and then a ton of sequels drove it all to the ground. The only horror franchises that did sequels justice were Sleepaway Camp and Candyman. Sleepaway Camp 2 was actually better than the original. Even the subpar Sleepaway Camp 3 was just subpar and wasn't a trainwreck. Candyman 2 and Candyman 3 actually kept expanding on the story in a good way.

There is a brief scene where it alludes that Chucky has added blades to the drones. Where did he get blades? It doesn’t show or make sense, but it’s there for a second that he’s altered them.

I didn't like that the disgruntled employee had removed the "limiter". Its still a doll so this Chucky should still be floppy like a plush animal and shouldn't be solid as if he had muscles and a skeleton.
When you take the supernatural out of this movie it loses what made it in the first place

Major triple A games, from what has been going on it doesn’t seem like much, he did cover E3 but obviously he can’t cover every indie game, and an Angry Review takes a lot of time and editing so for these more minor games it makes sense to release these rapid reviews. But I bet he is working on a total war three kingdoms full review
