Maaan the Civic 8th gen is my first car too and quickly fell in love with it. Its not super fast but good enough fast (i got the 1.8), it looks modern especially with an FD2 type r bodykits. I've also spent a lot on the car which I didn't expect but goes to show how much I really love it. Not planning on selling it though I'mma keep it for my future child 🙏
I feel you man I had an 8th gen civic nonsi but it was auto and with the wrong engine. I still love the car but it just wasnt a smart idea to keep modding it and keeping it. I now have a 19 wrx with a manual and it is a way better daily and car overall with a way higher performance ceiling. Cant wait to see your new car!

I think you threw away some legendary history... The K20/K24 engines are the last great (If not the BEST) naturally aspirated 4 cylinders ever made my Honda. These new DI turbos (like the K20C... which they should never have called it a K20 anything) while they make great power, they are souless... Beastly vacuum cleaners is what they sound like now. You will never get that same glorious VTEC induction noise from modern Hondas (Or anything else modern that is a turbo)... And I'm telling you, THAT is what you will miss most from the K20. I own a 2008 FG2 Si, and I plan on taking it to my grave. The only thing that will separate me from my car would be someone else smashing into it, and my insurance company writing it off... Even then, I may still keep it and repair it myself... I love my car that much... Nope, as much as I like the cool tech and frills of modern vehicles, all that goes away once I hit VTEC and bask in the symphony of how a big cam four cylinder sounds when driven hard. That is a sound that is going away, and I refuse to adopt.
