Actual what the storage place is doing is going through everything and taking everything of value.I see this a lot in Houston.No one packs there stuff in pile like trash ! Its been gone through .The other thing I see they auction the unit and the buyer take everything of value and leave the trash despite rules of the auction.
Storage facilities were the first businesses I approached when I got my truck, and I work with 2 now when they have unpaid lockers. Its great! Clean work rules! Keep it up, I'm still busy myself and its great keeping my junk truck moving during these times. Great video as always!

And the other reason I have seen is the storage places consolidated all there left behind trash from non sold units. Most I have worked for dont like to pay good . Keep on hustling

How do you guys go about a conversation with a client who wants an “over the phone” price? I started junk removal in February..I just got a call today, which was the first one since the end of February.. the Coronavirus has been taking a toll on me trying to operate this business.. i’m in NY.. The person on the phone wanted a price over the phone.. I feel weird about doing it, but I gave them one anyway.. They said that they were going to get everything together an call back when they are ready.. an now I worry that they won’t call back. Do you guys do estimates over the phone? What if the customer only wants it over the phone an doesn’t want me to come out to give estimate?
We never give a firm price over the phone...we give a ball park price. We ask for them to send pictures at a couple of different angles, then still give a close estimate....we try to give in person quotes as much as possible. We explain that it’s difficult to give an exact price on the phone.....be careful with pictures because you can’t tell how heavy boxes are and or what’s in a bag. Sometimes tile and other things such as tires etc...are hidden under things.
