Shabba Doo was killing when it came to poppin and lockin, but Boogaloo Shrimp could pop, lock, robot, break(top rock & go to the floor and spin) and more. Two sensational dancers as a team! Legendary. You gotta give both of them props though. I had an all new respect for Shabba Doo(Adolfo Quinones when I seen him perform with Don Campbell's lockers on Soul Train). Pioneers!

Yeah, he was a strictly a locker, not even very good at popping or waving. I think he was miscast in the role as an 80s breakdancer. Street dancing changed a lot from the 70s to the 80s. He was from a different era and shouldn't have had the lead role in a movie about 80s street dancing.

Turbo is a better popper but he is one dimensional. It’s just that turbo is really good at popping. If you watch all of ozone dancing clips you will realize that he is better all around and more athletic. The movie breakin watered down ozone.

One of that last old skool dancer born in 1965 to black and Puerto Rican parents..but raised by this black Africa American mother in Chicago ghetto and more black culture dancing.. but he was open minded to all race..but more on the the black struggle..

thakozhani Sorry, but he didn't teach Michael Jackson to Moonwalk. Jeffrey Daniels of the group Shalamar did in late '79 or early '80. This was way before Breakin' came out. Boogaloo Shrimp is still my favourite dancer. After all of these years he still has it and is a great guy, too. :-)
Y'all all wrong! Lol No for real he perfected it with Jeffery Daniels but had experimented when he saw clips from dancer Bill Bailley and then Nicholas brothers whom he performed with later in their career on the Jackson's tv show. I'm in my mid 50s and still perform and teach poplocking.

You're both right in a sense. Boogalo did work with MJ in the mid 80's and taught him some robotics as well as longer strides on the moonwalk.
