      That's hella dope! This was a lil before my time but it hit California in the early 90s and I was a kid trying all these moves with my older cousins! Respects for starting what they they call culture now!!

    much respects to RSC, NYC Breakers & Magnificent Force. This footage is amazing! To see how they promoted the movie Beat Street using the "REAL STARS" of the movies dancing live is awesome! This is why I love You Tube, I get to see footage that I was never able to watch as a kid.... Thanks much respects.

      80's was the best music ever. Hip hop and freestyle was for the best music ever.
      The music now a days is garbage. Freestyle music will never die. It's still out there new groups. But they kept it going. TH-cam 2021 freestyle music.

      thats the same thing i see people say about the 50's, 60s, 70's and 90's as well . LMAO
      So there AINT NO BEST DECADE.
      i think every decade was GREAT and FUN in its own way equally.
      And who ever experienced that particular decade as a Teenager or a Young ADULT in their 20's had the upmost FUN in that particular decade.

    How lucky were we born in this era? From Disco,to breakin,to Michael Jackson,Prince,Madonna,..To Masters of the Universe to malls,cable tv/MTV being born. The movie Star Wars,Indiana Jones,Rocky,Ternimator,Goonies,ET..TO Tv shows like Dukes of Hazzard Knight Rider ATeam..The birth of the video game craze/arcades/consoles..BMX Freestyle/RAD.. and the lists go on and on and on and on..THIS is why NOTHING today entertains me or impresses me..I mean,can you blame us for being biased towards our decade? lol

    Dance evolved greatly if you watch the break dance in 2020 it's more complex and crazy...Aliens! :-) but 1984 what a beautiful time and that good memories! if I could return to that time!?

    • @thebodybeatdownDiTi
      @thebodybeatdownDiTi 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      it evolved into being not as good if you ask me. add on top of that most people dancing today look lazy and not as together as crews were then. Many had matching outfits and took pride in themselves a bit more. Looked like a real crew a team.

    History lesson: 'Rock Steady' was a form of Jamaican music which came after Ska and before Reggae, 1967 to 1969. Cool Herc and Heavy D came from Jamaica and settled in New York, USA. They were two of the founders of Hip Hop. Biggie Smalls, The Notorious BIG had Jamaican parents.

    • @MegaJohny56
      @MegaJohny56 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      so heavy d and coolherc formed hip hop? isn't that a rather one dimensional look at things? not to mention its inaccuracy as there were more involved in the formation of the genre than 2 sons of jamaica, lets be more inclusive and truthful when we discuss history please

    Que linda epoca en los 83 y 84. El Breakdance o baile callejero pego muy fuerte ; en Jujuy furor total se bailaba o practicaba en plaza , espacio publico o por doquier. El que lo vivo , como un buen ochentoso no se puede olvidar nunca; de querer aprender e inovar pasos es incomparable e irrepetible , TENES QUE HABERLO VIVIDO SINO NO PODES HABLAR ?.

    Nessa época os caras já faziam tudo isso ?eles eram tratados como ser de outro planeta eram chamados gênios , por que quem via um negocio desses pela primeira vez não acreditavam que um ser humano era capaz de fazer esse tipo de coisas,eu mesmo a primeira vez que eu vi um moinho de vento foi em uma propaganda da C&A na década de 80, quase ninguém sabia o segredo de rodar com as costas no chão ou com a cabeça ,enfim depois disso passei a gostar do Break Dance nos anos 90 era febre em todas as esquinas aqui de Brasília principalmente na Ceilândia ,tempos bons ,hoje em dia ainda tem ,mas não com o mesmo amor ,com a mesma garra de antigamente ,a gente ia para as batalhas que na época era chamado rachas com muita disposição e alegria e contagiava todos que viajavam nos ônibus com a gente ,levávamos um radio gravador e quando nos encontrávamos no centro de Brasília em frente ao conjunto nacional era a maior nostalgia , uma festa em forma de batalha que formava uma gigantesca roda ,Saudades mil
