Man I was only 9 years old when Breaking (Movie) came out... Best movie ever and still is!!!❤️ My heart goes out to Adolfo “Shabba-Doo” Quinones family..🙏🏾 R.I.P. OZONE❤️..We love you!!!💯💯💯
@ 00:8 when he said Ozone! and the beat dropped, everyone in the theater started clapping ...I'm clapping now RIP Shabba Doo, condolences to your family, friends and fans worldwide.
Watching this now with a mix of emotions. Brings back memories of being a kid and my much older brother introducing me to this movie. He loved it. Seeing him trying to breakdance around the house. Happy, funny memories but tinged with sadness after losing him this year. Seems silly but this is the film that will always make me think of him.
This was the first movie that gave young people a sense of power channeled through their creativity and passion. It also brought African-American swag to the rest of the globe that exists to this day!!
Each generation brings in a new style of music. Little Richard, james brown, elvis presley, the beatles, the rolling stones on and on. Little Richard and elvis had to put up with loads of criticism. Finally dignity was given to little Richard and elvis but they had to put up with a lot. Hugs to all. May music 🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🇺🇸 live forever.
I RAN this movie all summer when it came out-we had a line as wide as the sidewalk and down a full block on Woodward Avenue in Detroit (yeah, there were still a few neighborhood theaters there in 1984) for most of the show's run. The only thing nuttier was the "celebration" when the Tigers took the World Series that fall.
I absolutely love it. That was an awesome time in life when people could express their love for dance in that fashion without being criticized. It is nice to see someone else enjoyed that time in life as well. Thank you.
That's cool that they included the 2 guys and girl from the dance off. Shows that they were able to settle things on the dance floor than squash the beef to go on to make some good money together in the final scene. I love it.
1984 best year for movies ,Breakin ,Purple Rain ..i wish i had a Time machine...i remember seeing this at a Drive in theater..i was glued to the screen..then went home started making break dance pad from card board ..i love the 80s ...Does anybody know the little breaker kid that hoped out the trash can ,whats his name and what happen to him ?
I was 13 going on 14 when this movie was released. It brings back memories and some tears too. MAAAN what a time to be alive in the 1980s. Rest in Power Adolfo "Shabba-Doo" Quinones "The Undisputed King of The Breakdancers!"
Oh my goodness, absolutely elated that I was able to be around for such a magnificent movie, such as this incredibly musical masterpiece I just love it, I have both Breakin and Breakin 2 Electric Boogaloo on both VHS and DVD, will treasure them always ❤️❤️❤️❤️👌👍🥰
i remeber my mom taking me to go see this ...it was 1.50 a ticket such good times back then. miss u mom..an thanxs. now i have to get off here before i start crying.
If only electric boogaloo was as good as the 1st would been legendary especially to ozone shaba doo quinoines.. R.IP. MY brother . You was a sensation to the both breakin movies . Esp the 1st .
I was a Sophomore in highschool when I seen this on the big screen. I was shocked to see Ice T in the movie back then. Bought the VHS soon after! 80's rocked 🤘
Memories ! Man i remember going to the movies to watch this,,the dance scenes were dope. The story line a bit corny, but who cares,,it was about the jams and breaking,,It was an awsome era to be part of. I,m in my 50,s and will occasionally make an atttempt to make a few popping moves at a wedding ,lol,,its in my blood.
iam 48 years old and i live in the uk.i first saw this film in 1985.when i watch these clips it is as iam back in the 80s.so many good memoris.of this film..wish i could go in a time machine back to the 80s.

Now i was young with this first came out and was all about the dancing and the music. It wasn't until much later in life I realized...KELLY WAS HOT AS HECK! Wow!
Mid 80's, Milan city, Italy. I grew up on bread and Hip Hop and lived it on my bones, and it's still in every fiber of my being. Long live the double H ❤️
Funny isn't it, "so when you see them try, stop and watch don't pass them by, cos they're people just like you trying to make their dreams come true" was so just a throwaway line back then but hearing it in todays mess just hit me hard in the feels

I hope everyone who has seen this movie appreciates the beautiful story.Of opposing forces enemies at 1st coming together at the End as one unit one mind Together UNITY.......BEAUTIFUL STORY.
These fictional battles created kids to mimick a circle in the wrong way..-we didn't put each other down...we supported each other, no matter what level you were at. I was known as the Professor and danced with, and was taught by Dwayne Ellis aka Fanta-C. He formed the Dominoes.
I'm telling you. I saw it everyday it was in the theater!!! Oh I wish that a dance contest would settle differences. I would lose everyone but LIVE to do it again and again etc
I’m 43 now and these scenes still get me like they did when I was a kid

My favourite part. I used to watch this Every Single Day after school.
TEMPO MARAVILHOSA ONDE AS CRIANÇAS DANÇAVAM ESSE RITMO BACANA,EU PARTICULARMENTE SABIA ALGUMA COISA.
If this was a genuine Broadway show in 1984 it would have absolutely slayed. With the popularity of Breakdance and MJ moonwalking all over the charts.
One of my favourite movies growing up as a kid in the 80s.
Now i was young with this first came out and was all about the dancing and the music. It wasn't until much later in life I realized...KELLY WAS HOT AS HECK! Wow!

Rip Ozone and Popin' Taco. I was in my early 30's when this movie was made.
Ice-T's lyrics so positive at the end.
Funny isn't it, "so when you see them try, stop and watch don't pass them by, cos they're people just like you trying to make their dreams come true" was so just a throwaway line back then but hearing it in todays mess just hit me hard in the feels
