I wish I could tell you the best, cheap place to go, but I honestly don't trust cheap suppliers for screens. Our screens cost more because we do a lot of research and testing to make sure they work on the laptops we advertise them for. Many of the cheaper places don't, so it's kind of a crap shoot on if the screens are compatible or will work at all. I can offer you this to help. Find the part number on the back of the screen before you buy. That should help you get the correct screen.
Terrific! Thanks for the very easy to follow tutorial. I purchased a new screen from Parts-People. Install was a breeze and my laptop is up and running like new! Question: What to do with the old screen. Can it be refurbished/recycled? If Parts-People or Dell can use it to refurb, just send a call tag and I will donate it.
& I know you have parts at your website but unfortunately I can't afford the ones from there.. I really need it!.. And I was hoping you could recommend somewhere where I could get it for cheaper I don't care if its used.. Thanks
Yes, that is exactly what this video showed, you are just amusing that you need to take the screen and hinges/mount off first. You do not need to remove the whole section to remove the screen.
Do you know where I can get a cheap LCD replace screen? My nail just cracked the ink on my*sigh* and I'm on a budget but I need it for college I have assignments in there and stuff I need to turn in.. Could you please recommend a website or somewhere where this screen won't be expensive I looked on eBay and they no cheaper than 60/70 Thank you !
While doing this myself, I cut the LCD cable that plugs into the inverter. Is there anyway to fix this cable. Replacing the cable also doesn't seem possible. Or will I need to replace the entire screen because of it?

All of the E6400s have a 14.1 inch screens but they have different resolutions. You will need to make sure you get the same resolution as your original screen. If you can find the part number for your screen, I can see if we have it or something compatible. Also, we do ship to Jamaica and you should receive it by Saturday if you order today.

+Parts-People.Com, Inc damn, from what i researched the ATG screens all bubbled and look from heat. I have 2 coming and need 2 replaced. Do you know if i can use another brand? model?
I checked out th-cam.com/video/ICyTGf4LYeY/w-d-xo.html first then followed this one for the screen. I also needed to change the CMOS battery, tighten two loose keys, cover the keys, and clean the fan. Yeah, it's been a while kept waiting to fix it.

i got mine out without taking out the hinges..... can do it exactly the same with the laptop still in one piece.... same steps
Thats nice but you didn't show how you got the screen off the laptop ?.

If it's the flat cable, you will need to replace the LCD cable. If it's the other cable, you would need to replace the screen.
My E6400 screen don't have a LCD CONNECTOR. The ribbon connector has (attention locking connector label ) and I cannot release it.

The E6400 uses a 14.1" LED backlit TN display, 1280x800 resolution or 1440x900 this tech guys say could be my resolution.
do you know if the e6400 atg screen is compatible with the regular e6400?
+E Stan No they are not. The ATG uses a thicker, heavy duty screen.
