Imo california is the most underrated map. It have interesting clothing upgrade mechanic (probably this was inspiration for Polaris bevlar) and overall this map is very well made. But yeah no one plays it
Let me tell you guys a story, On france on some p2w server we got enough “points” to do /shop and buy apcs. We got inside those apcs and started beatboxing with another one of my friends doing horrible singing, we also yelled and beatboxed at whoever we came upon and either helped them, OR killed them. In the end though we all died in Paris by some guy (or more guys) with a frickin Jet and a horde beacon, I do remember encountering a naked guy hiding in the bush in like the center of Paris and we helped him.
France is underrated for some reason. Maybe it was buggy, maybe the players were expecting something else. Other than that, France map is fun to play. Military vehicles with light blue colors looks nice. New weapons are always satisfying, including the Flamethrower and energy weapons FOCUS. There is another map that is underrated such as Belgium.
actually belgium is hated more than slept on since its was a huge copy paste of ideas and locations from russia and germany its pretty obvious where so no need to mention it still map has alot of neat stuff like acid weapons and magma mere easter egg
I love this map. So atmospheric, nice and interesting guns, clothes, locations and etc. And France give me a little vibe of 2.2.5 version because of gray palette. Shame that people host it so rare... And it was very innovative map for their time, if we talking about survival type of maps in 3.0, because flamethrower, energy guns, pistol with opportunity to use scopes and some other fun things, as a battle train with cannons... It was so dope, when released and it's still fun to play it.
Balance wise I think France is pretty good, the only real issue I have with it is the color choices throughout the map. Genuinely no other map in the game looks so depressing and dull, which (at least for me) makes it unfun to play on

I played France a lot. Even after it got removed. Honestly France isn't that good for multiplayer. It's a nice idea and a map but it just lacks some small things and it pissed me off to no end.
I disagree, I enjoy the unique features of France and I feel its very good for clans. I do also enjoy the boats, base locations, and weapons. Where the map really falls apart is with glitches that haven't been fixed for the past 2-3 years and the fact that every Unturned update the map gets more and more broken with more glitch locations.
All the techy guns are cool, but everyone slept on the muskets

Carpat is good in paper, but in game is broken. It has a lot of bugs and spawn problems.

we used to make a base in a cargo truck and we farmed alot scrap in the mine and one day the truck fell in the hole we laughed a lot.
