This happens to your body if you eat one meal per day.

  • We've talked about how two to three meals a day is optimal. But what's wrong with OMAD (one meal a day)?
Well, in an eight-week randomized control study comparing one meal versus three meals a day, what the authors found was that those who actually only ate one meal per day had an increase in the morning fasting sugar, they had more sustained sugar elevations, and they actually had increased Ghrelin levels.
The bottom line, it made you hungrier and showed an impact on insulin resistance going on.
Once again, the optimal number of meals per day is about two to three. Too little or too much ends up leading to the wrong effects.

When u eat constantly and snack u are always keeping ur insulin high and overworking ur pancreas. 43 yo male, Been doing OMAD 23:1 with low carbs for 5 months now, i mainly eat fresh green salad, stir fried, steamed vegetables, grass fed beef, chicken and sea food, I lost 38 pounds with zero working out, and I work from home, I was 261 LBS and now 223 LBS, I used to be pre-diabetic, but now I have normal blood sugar levels, I was able to reduce my blood pressure medication from full dose on 2 meds to half a dose of 1 med only and complete remove 1 medication, my bp was in 160’s / 100’s with full dose and now in 130’s/80’s with only 25% of my meds. I sometimes do 2 days fast with no hunger, I find the information in your video highly inaccurate, at least from my personal experience. I struggle with this too. People have no idea how much of a fight and struggle this is. Feeling super guilty and self conscience about every little thing we eat. Demi Lovato wrote a song about this. I cry every time I hear that song.

I don’t understand the results of one meal a day for me is a reduced size stomach, îm not hungry at all just when my meal is approaching..
And i don’t consume fast sugar at all only whole bread with grains…and îm not ingesting a lot of the slow sugar neither…

Bullshit. My blood glucose levels in the afternoon are always below 70mg/dl. When waking up, yes, my BG is high/normal around 90-100mg/dl but that is totally normal. The area under the BG curve is smaller than that of all the people around me that I've tested. And I've been doing omad for more than 5 years now. Those 8 weeks studies are nonsense. They are made on people who are carb addicts like I used to be, and whose metabolism is not at all adapted to this lifestyle. Sorry, but you should know better doc.

Yeah there’s actually loads of data that suggests fasting is extremely good for you. And lots of fasters that have channels will wear a glucose monitors. We weren’t supposed to eat the amount we do, our bodies were made to go long periods of time between eating. When we don’t eat our bodies do some remarkable things they can’t do in a fed state. Don’t watch things like this and just take them at their word because they are a doctor. Most doctors know fuck all about diet. Id never go to a doctor with anything nutritional related. Broken arm sure. But no I’m not taking his advice.

This leaves so much important information out about the study. What were those people eating for their one meal? What was the ratio of fats, proteins, carbs? What kind of carbs if any did they consume? Were they eating processed standard American diet type food or was it whole foods etc? What was their hydration like? More goes into the impact that nutrition has on the body than simply if you are eating once, twice, or three times per day.

It is like the body reacts to everything that is harsh.. "if you give me one meal a day, i am going to keep the blood sugar high in case you give 0 meals a day"...When I did the keto diet, my body interpreted that I was in starvation mode, and it was a disaster for my health.. Thank you for this channel.....

God I can’t believe I have destroyed myself by not eating a lot
