Thank you for going into detail about making the decision to get on TRT. Found this at the right time. The car showing up before a flood. All the best!

48 before I finally started TRT. When the little things like mowing the lawn start to feel insurmountable, it’s time to get checked. I was way low and probably had been for 7-8 years… trying antidepressants, vitamins, etc. Fellas, during your yearly physical, or any other time for that matter, ask your pcp for a testosterone test. If it’s in the normal range, only THEN look into head meds

I don't think people should be barred from competition for bringing their levels back to normal range.... Is a T1 diabetic banned for bringing their insulin to normal range? Why are hypogonadal men discriminated against for treating their illness? just because they're medicine can be abused for an edge?

@@mastershan87 thank you for taking the time to leave a thoughtful comment.
When it comes to therapeutic TRT usage, the issue is 1. It’s easy for athletes to go superphysiological, crush their own production, and get a usage exemption (see UFC) and 2. Holding your testosterone levels at a static amount is an ENORMOUS advantage. The body drives down testosterone during intense training in an attempt to preserve homeostasis. If you are taking testosterone exogenously, that will not happen to you and you feel less depleted and preserve muscle, even at “normal” ranges.
Again, thank you for the thoughtful question 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Mine was 12.4. 340 my GP said was in range for my age 52. I felt like saying tell that to my symptoms= since 19 Depression and anxiety on and off, late puberty, patchy facial hair even now shave twice a week, ADHD, poor concentration, very low sperm count and fatigue, but apparently im good to go.

That sounds like it is unbelievably frustrating and want to have someone on your side and at least be empathetic to your cause?
If you are looking for advice, please read on. If not, and you were just looking to vent (totally relatable) stop here.
What leads you to believe that your symptoms are attributed to low testosterone?
What conservative measures (outside of pharmaceuticals) have you practiced to concerning your nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle to address your symptoms?

@@flochfitness4271 in all honesty I don't drink alcohol food is okay sleep is okay, but still have the symptoms. For all I know they could just be coincidental, but those results are low but just in range for my DR (UK) not to treat apparently. I'm not saying they are from low testosterone, but looking at my results and comparing with others they are borderline low so could be a link

Just started TRT last week 200 cypionate a week, 1000 mg a month “they give me a free shot each month”
230$ a month and basically let me play around with when or how I want to use it
Once I get going I’ll probably take 400 first week of month then re shoot end of week to keep 400-200 Test in system at all times
Beginning level 395 age 30 128 free test
16shgb all other levels in good ranges
Anxious to see my first labs back
I’ve already had a vasectomy and have 3 kids so not worried about fertility
Just concerned with PSA level and going bald…high estrogen not too big of a concern for me personally as long as it not causing issues if it ever causes gyno I’ll just have surgery to remove
Btw never used peds before in life, just had low testosterone always knew I did since like age 19
Btw good honesty in video, don’t see much of that concerning these types of topics

I am actually off it now. I was taking the finasteride to manage a genetic predisposition to aromatics testosterone into DHT. My father had prostate cancer so didn’t want increased testosterone to affect my prostate. Because I am now dosing more often (every 2 days 30mg) I am off the finasteride and anestrozol and will recheck my blood work to see if my DHT and estradiol are still in check. Hope this helps!
