Thank you for going into detail about making the decision to get on TRT. Found this at the right time. The car showing up before a flood. All the best!
48 before I finally started TRT. When the little things like mowing the lawn start to feel insurmountable, it’s time to get checked. I was way low and probably had been for 7-8 years… trying antidepressants, vitamins, etc. Fellas, during your yearly physical, or any other time for that matter, ask your pcp for a testosterone test. If it’s in the normal range, only THEN look into head meds
I don't think people should be barred from competition for bringing their levels back to normal range.... Is a T1 diabetic banned for bringing their insulin to normal range? Why are hypogonadal men discriminated against for treating their illness? just because they're medicine can be abused for an edge?
@@mastershan87 thank you for taking the time to leave a thoughtful comment. When it comes to therapeutic TRT usage, the issue is 1. It’s easy for athletes to go superphysiological, crush their own production, and get a usage exemption (see UFC) and 2. Holding your testosterone levels at a static amount is an ENORMOUS advantage. The body drives down testosterone during intense training in an attempt to preserve homeostasis. If you are taking testosterone exogenously, that will not happen to you and you feel less depleted and preserve muscle, even at “normal” ranges. Again, thank you for the thoughtful question 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I am actually off it now. I was taking the finasteride to manage a genetic predisposition to aromatics testosterone into DHT. My father had prostate cancer so didn’t want increased testosterone to affect my prostate. Because I am now dosing more often (every 2 days 30mg) I am off the finasteride and anestrozol and will recheck my blood work to see if my DHT and estradiol are still in check. Hope this helps!
