Yes! Finally a video that goes slow enough for those who are challenged with coordination! I love how slow this is and how many times it repeats, pointing out mistakes that one might be making. It felt relaxing rather than stressful like another video I tried. Once I get this routine down I'll figure out where I can find part 2!
I just came across your Tai Chi videos a couple days ago and love the way you explain everything in detail including common mistakes. Also, your voice is very soothing. I googled "Beginning Tai Chi" and watched several instructors and although the others were good, I just love your style and explanations the best.
I tried Tai Chi once before and found it difficult to learn. I'm so glad I'm trying it again with this Chris Pei video - The instruction is so specific, and the repetition really helps. Also appreciate Chris Pei's calm demeanor and peaceful scenery. My husband, son, and I love it!
You have such an amazing channel, please remove the ads. They are nothing more than a disruption and if someone likes the ad, it takes them away from your channel and who knows if they'll come back to your channel. I can't tell you how many times I liked a channel yet never subscribed because I accidentally clicked on an ad that took me to another video and I couldn't get back to the original video. You work so hard at making genuinely valuable content that benefits others. Why allow other companies to steal your audience? This is really to anyone creating content on TH-cam that runs ads. Please consider making your own ads to put at ether the beginning or the end. I can help you do this if you need or want help in making your channel even more valuable to it's viewers. This is a genuine offer, there is more to life than money.
Thank you! We are so happy for the feedback and very open to alternative business models, but we don’t know of any. What we are trying to figure out is how do we make money to produce content without allowing ads. Creators may get around $8 per thousand views from the advertising. To make good content, it may cost $1,000 per video. To break-even to pay for producing a video, it might require 100,000 views, which is really challenging. Right now, we still lose money for nearly all the videos we post. If we don’t include ads to pay our expenses to make the content, what business model do you think might work better?
@@BodyWisdomClasses wow! Thank you for being open with me regarding the challenges you face. I personally don't publish content very often here on TH-cam though I understand why one would be tempted to include foreign ads just to break even. I am aware of various models that could support what you are trying to accomplish. However, I am interested in knowing more about what strategies y'all are currently using in order to be more helpful to you. My channel is connected with LinkedIn. Let's connect there so you can feel more open to discussing business matters you may not want discussed here in the comments for everyone to read. Unless you don't mind, we can also discuss it here. Whichever is most convenient to you. Either way, I genuinely look forward to helping you build a more profitable business.
Either way works. I don’t mind being transparent with our Bodywisdom Community/family. Our business model is very straightforward: make great content (we think it is great, at least), and post on TH-cam. We hope people share the videos they enjoy and we get around $0.001 per view (TH-cam’s business model is well known and public). We don’t have much of a social media presence - we are more old-school yoga, Tai chi, etc practitioners and never quite made it authentically onto social media. The hope is over the next several years that kindred spirits that enjoy our content will find us, subscribe, enjoy, etc. This will allow us to make more content. What model do you have in mind?
@@BodyWisdomClasses Of course. I always give the option because some people do care and prefer to keep things private. Social media can be a tough nut to crack. lol However, since you are more "old school" practitioners, I assume you have physical locations where people can come and learn yoga, Tai chi, etc...? One thing is 95% of success is mental. Accept that everything you desire to accomplish is already done. Determine how that feels like and feel it. Stay in that place regardless of what the current reality looks like because the current reality is constantly changing, being molded to fit a new reality that is more in alignment with what both the individual and the collective desires. Since you already are aware of how energy works, use this knowledge to increase your fan base and revenue. Just look at it from another angle. As you breathe in, imagine yourself being a magnet pulling in all those who would benefit from your videos. And as you breathe out, imagine the life force energy clearing the way for these people to come. Next, come up with a paid offer that you turn into an ad. This would be short as it would be incorporated as an intro and outro to all your videos. To come up with said offer, what would you say are the reasons people don't practice tai chi or yoga? What struggles do they face because they don't practice either tai chi or yoga? What are some short and long term consequences of not having a consistent practice? Next, the best form of advertising is getting in front of already established audiences. This is includes TedX talks, being a guest speaker either at an event or on someone's podcast. This right here will grow your channel faster than anything. Another option is once you have a paid offer in place, we can create one here if you don't already have any, connecting with influencers who will promote your offer to their audience. This is a tricky one and can be quite costly if not done correctly. Another option is to encourage your audience to make remixes of your videos with them practicing along and sharing that content. A simple call to action would be show us which move or routine (I'm not sure the correct verbage here) and tag us. Y'all already have a lot of videos, so what can you do to repurpose them to make them even more useful? Next, is establish a funnel and collect emails if you don't already. Carrd is a funnel building site that starts at $19 a year if you wish to use custom domains and connect to an auto responder - it what I use for all my sites and funnels. If you don't know how to put together a funnel, or don't have the time, I am more than happy to (I'm weird I like building funnels and websites... lol). And I know your probably reading this and thinking wow she's willing to help us out so much, there's got to be a catch. No catch. Value supports value. And where there is a desire, a way is made. I live in a world were we all are successful because we all help each other without expectation.

Just found your channel and I am so thankful for it. Thank you Chris. Your instructions and approach to the fundamentals is just what I’ve been looking for to clarify the many questions came up during my practice. I will be going through the playlist. 🙏✨
Thank you so much for your clarity & patience in this video. I have been taking Yang Tai Chi classes once a week. But basically I am just mimicking the master. Sometimes it can be frustrating because there is no explanation. After practicing your warm up video & this video … I noticed my movements were smoother during my last class . Once I master this class on this video… what is the next video so I can learn in sequence. Is it possible to number the videos ? I really appreciate it. Thanks again.
hello thanks so much by the video its wonderful, can i just ask when i exhale its by the mouth or by the nose?????please can someone tell me because i didnt understand that part and i want to do this exercicies in perfection..thanks so much and stay well and healthy
I had the same question. I went from the intro/warmup to lesson 1 and missed the basics video. It's in the playlist, called "Tai Chi for Beginners | Best Instructional Video to Learn Tai Chi | Basics Tutorial"
It would be very helpful if he gave us the commands to mirror him other words say right when it’s actually left, so we are moving the same direction when we look at him on the screen
Your insttuctions are covering the parts that should be followed by the learners. I suggest put your scrib bled instructions on the side that is clear of any body part!!
I was wondering if it would be easier to follow if the video image was reversed so people could use the screen as a mirror? Because my wife keeps getting confused and stood on my toes more than once lol.
Thank you for your feedback. We find that half the people like 'mirroring' instruction and half not. We have put out DVDs that have both, but on TH-cam we put one up. We could put two up, but the way the algorithm works on TH-cam, one will rise to the top and appear much more frequently. Have you done many of the videos in our Tai Chi Playlist? We have dozens of videos. Maybe after a bit you can get used to it, or at least your toe may callous?

Great, finally a video by Chris Pei where the movements are executed slowly for the benefits of all beginners. Thank you Chris.
