The bonus for me, as a movie buff, is that he's voiced by Vincent Cassel. One of my favourite French Actors, made popular by the Ocean's Sequels (11 and 13), where he played The Nightfox.
He feels like a combo of Noctis, Master Raven, and Kunimitsu II, along with all the MG:R vibes. Really digging his vibe & gameplay just from this trailer alone.
The Tekken Team knows how extremely popular/successful Noctis is in Tekken 7 in terms of impact, he pretty much has two other clones that are inspired by him (Kunimitsu 2, and Victor). I honestly wouldn't be suprised if this is a way to tell us that based on the high demand, Noctis might actually make his return through Tekken 8's DLC again.
I mean that's pretty wishful thinking. Don't get me wrong I loved Noctis and he was my main but I highly doubt he's returning just because it doesn't seem like Harada would use the same guest twice. Only one I'd say has a chance of coming back is Akuma for story reasons.

Give him a character that looks badass and he'll usually vibe towards them, flashy or not.
That statement: "If I start to play him, nobody else are allowed to play him." is such a thing in my family. Solidus Snake invades Tekken 8!😎😎😎🕶️🕶️🕶️
Max said exactly what I came out of the trailer thinking, his song is INCREDIBLE.
Victor is like if Gr0h in SC6 wasn't stuck as a punished edgy boy and blossomed past the chuuni lad and became far too badass for anyone to handle
Unexpected. Victor is like every badass character mashed into one. This trailer really got me pumped up.
My first impression of Victor was an older Pierce Brosnan James Bond. Definitely one of the more wacky new Tekken characters.
Now all we need is a badass old lady character doing Kung Fu and pressure point shit like Kill Bill.
Ridley's first day in school, damn I'm getting old fast.
I see him as Old Snake and Rising Raiden combined into one guy and I love that so much
Regardless he's so cool, probably my fave newcomer since T5/DR (Asuka/Lili)
For me, he's more of Sam than Raiden
Vincent Cassel was in La Haine among others. Great actor.
Yeah, I alway love his laser capoeira heist scene from "Ocean's Twelve"
The bonus for me, as a movie buff, is that he's voiced by Vincent Cassel. One of my favourite French Actors, made popular by the Ocean's Sequels (11 and 13), where he played The Nightfox.
Also Monsieur Hood in Shrek lol
I have a feeling he is gunna be a character i love playing as but i hate fighting against 😂
He feels like a combo of Noctis, Master Raven, and Kunimitsu II, along with all the MG:R vibes.
How was kuni inspired by noctis?
I mean that's pretty wishful thinking. Don't get me wrong I loved Noctis and he was my main but I highly doubt he's returning just because it doesn't seem like Harada would use the same guest twice. Only one I'd say has a chance of coming back is Akuma for story reasons.
@@reign9933apparently you just need to be a teleport character to be based on Noctis
Just ignore the 1st Kunimitsu. Or Yoshimitsu. Or Raven.
Nah Noctis is the first weapon using teleport character on Tekken.
Brain so smooth, you can ice skate on it....
@@reign9933She has literally Noctis' 222222 and the kunai/teleport move was surely inspired by Noctis. Og Kuni did not have those
@@janematthews9087To be fair, Noctis leaves blue afterimages after teleporting and Victor does that too.
I KNEW HIS VOICE ACTOR LOOKED FAMILIAR!!! Vincent Cassel was the capoeira thief guy from Ocean’s 12! But Victor looks insane, can’t wait to play him!
I want more original characters made that shadow guest characters they can no longer have in the game. Like it's wholly original, but will be interesting to those who played Tekken 7 for Noctis, Negan, etc. It's genius
It’s been a long time since I heard a French voice actor voice a character in a video game. Jean Reno who voiced Jacques from Onimusha 3 Demon Siege.
There's been a lot of complaints within the tekken community about him being too over the top for tekken. Which for us old school Tekken fans is true. However 29 of the characters in this game are returning characters. We still have traditional martial artists to play with. Characters like this are important to get those people who like stuff like guilty gear to have a jumping on point for the tekken series. I don't reckon I'll play him too much but i get a feeling he's going to bring a lot of outsiders into the flock
Over the top? BRUH Tekken is the home of over the top and crazy characters. YOU CAN FIGHT AN ACTUAL DINOSAUR THAT USES BOXING GLOVES... there's weird devil beings with eye lazers, there's fighting animals for crying out loud.
@@alexandernickaboine4798 Not to mention how Yoshimitsu, the OG sword user, has been in the Tekken series since literally DAY ONE.
Saying that weapons don't belong in Tekken is truly one of the most ignorant and stupid things you can claim about the franchise.
@@alter9933 also wanna added a combat android, walking tank series 8, literally angel in the same series
dude, Tekken is literally over the top series and no one is gonna mention that? w
why does everyone always go to the "BRO U FIGHT LE HECKIN DINOSAUR AND BEAR ALSO KAZ SHOOT LAZOR YOSHI HAS SWORD TEKKEN WAS ALWAYS QUIRKY XD" yes that is true but GAMEPLAY wise its always been pretty 'tame.'
You guys are missing the point.
Tekken has always had wacky stuff, but Roger was still a "boxer" , and Jack mostly does melee combat.
We now have a human that uses 3 different weapons gameplay wise. Also, the Katana makes no sense at all for a secret agent.
Lorewise, he's the founder and mentor of Raven's organization.
Raven, master raven and phantom raven, tekken really had their own metal gear lmfao. Can't wait to see punished raven in tekken 9
Hardcore Tekken fan here, who can't wait to play this character. Is he gonna be a nightmare to fight against? Probably. Is he gonna be fun as hell to use? Yes. Yes he is
It's weird that Max doesn't really like anime when his favorite fighting game characters are very "anime."
He really like some parts of anime, but really don't jives with some other parts.
@@emperormegaman3856he likes the old school anime shit
He never said he doesn't like Anime. Allthough he acknowledged favouring the style of oldschool 90's Anime stuff. FOTNS, JoJo, Akira, Guilty Gear's artstyle which is inspired by that era, etc. He also praises Ghibli movies which he's watched.
There's genres of Anime he doesn't vibe with, like cutesy Kawai designs, but that only makes up one part of the medium. Give him a character that looks badass and he'll usually vibe towards them, flashy or not.
Me and Max both adore how this character plays! He’s made for people like us.
This character is absolutely insane!!! 🤯 Awesome as hell. Tekken sure makes some of the coolest characters ever!
Damn Vincent is doing the voice!! Classy!
The moment I saw Victor, I knew Max will love this character.
You guys should add Jean Reno's the Professional in the mix as well.
Then twitter will start cancelling him lol
He actually reminds me a little of the Specialist, an alternate subclass for the Troubleshhoter and Hitman from Dungeon fighter.
I can't get over how sick this dude looks man
That statement: "If I start to play him, nobody else are allowed to play him." is such a thing in my family. I have 4 of 5 brothers that plays Tekken regularly since 1997, and we all pick our characters from the roster. If someone pick from others main, they get angry.
Luckily I went for crazy looking characters as well as those that is rival to their main.
1st brother (plays sometimes): (Eddy, Lei, Nina), Jun/Asuka, Law, Feng, Baek, Lili, Leo, Dragunov and Zafina
2nd brother (Me): (Yoshimitsu, Paul, Armor King, Shaheen, Gigas), Raven, Marduk and Bruce.
3rd brother (plays casually): (King, Bryan), Lee, Kazuya, Miguel, Claudio, Devil Jin.
4th brother (plays competitive): (Jin, Hwoarang, Steve), Law, Lei, and Devil Jin.
5th brother (plays rarely): Julia, Jack, Xiaoyu, Lee, and Bob.
I don’t like Tekken but this is the first character ever in the series to make me want to pick up the title and main him.
Metal Caliber May Wick: Final Revengence looks so dope.
SIDEBAR: I wanna see Polish Prime Minister Lidia comeback. Nice to see other styles of karate in this game. Whether a main stay or DLC, I’d be happy with her return.
Ninjas in Paris 🤣
😂 brooo
This guy looks amazing, and the moveset looks very cool. He's a knight that does samurai stuff, that was in the navy and founded UN government ninjas, and has a suit to do Metal Gear techno stuff. They've got a famous name behind him too. Hopefully he is fun to play.
The team absolutely nailed it with Victor, he just oozes cool and I love it!!! Colonel Sanders, Jetstream Sam, Raiden, Snake, Noctis and Kunimitsu all combined and we have Victor! Also his theme is godlike too! Yeah he is perfect
he really said leon kennedy (resident evil) but as kenshi takahashi (mortal kombat) at the same time.. 😭
Victor Chevelier isn't just the master of Raven's Ninjitsu...he's the master of *DRIP* 😎
Naw that still belongs to LeRoy
I love your fandom Max. When they want to share with you something and your opinion on it, they go for it in droves! I like Victor. The Gentleman has made his entrance. I like how you see some of Kunimitsu in him. I miss that character in the series.
The katana is overkill for his design, looks really bad, standing out in the worst create a character way possible.
Keeping him with just the gun and knife while increasing the gun prowess would have been FAR better and gave him a cool VS angle with Raven - Gun VS Sword.
I feel the same, it looks awful
2:30 Tech Slide
3:06 Tech Pulse
3:10 Tech Burst
3:26 Tech Geyser
3:41 TechCalibur - Rafale
But way cooler than Noctis ever was
And cooler than Noctis would hope to be 😂
@@Skaal_Prime exactly my friend
@@Skaal_Primeyea i cant stand noctis and his kpop drip, looks fking dumb. victor is a classy badass. more of that, please.
This is such a fun looking character. And Vincent Cassell is the truth. Love that he gets to voice this character in his native tongue.
Imagine replacing his weapons with a Baguette, Croissant, and an Éclair.
C'est Raciste vos propos !
Your words are racist!
@lesnake59 so you legit wouldn't want to see him fight with baked goods. Raven should be fighting with hairpicks.

C'est réducteur pour mon pays, non ?
Quand un anglophone écrit sur la France ou les français (e) ce n'est jamais un compliment.
It's reductive for my country, isn't it?
When an English speaker writes about France or the French (e) it is never a compliment.
@@lesnake59ca va s'etait pas méchant ce qu'il a dit et c'etait juste pour rire mais par contre il y en a qui ont vraiment dit des choses racistes sur le fait que victor soit français
@lesnake59 your country produced Jeanne de Arc, the Louvre, has one of the most romantic languages, a heavy influence on American cuisine (especially black american food), built Lady liberty herself, and the best star fleet captain Jean Luc Picard is a French man (except the accent). There are many positive things to easily say about France, I'm just talking about common gag weapons that would easily match up to the dude weapon shapes.
I get that Tekken fans that have been around a while aren't used to/don't like this type of over the top character but this is the exact reason I am getting T8
I love all the people crying that Tekken has been ruined because this guy is "too anime."
When the gane always was
The first character I thought of when I saw this guy was the agent from DNF duel. But I don't know how I feel about him. Amazing design, and I'm not even complaining about weapons. We already had Yoshimitsu since day 1. But him teleporting and summing barriers I think is where I draw the line. Not really into that. If he had just one of those two things It would have been fine honestly. If he was bare-handed but could teleport, that would make it more significant.
Okay TIFA PLEASE
Looks so cool and while I don't think I'll main him I will admit I've watched the trailer like 10 times for the music. If the soundtrack has stuff like this everywhere it's going to easily be my fav music of any fighting game
Definitely did better than Megan Fox.
A trained monkey could do better than Megan Fox.
Hes so freaking cool. Reminds me of if they took hitman in dnf and gave him a futuristic aesthetic
made me want to be like him in my 60's, the classy fancy style like
Azucena and Victor are both amazing. They're just pure cool.
I would trade a kidney for T8 to be released sooner. 10 seconds into this guy's trailer and i knew i was maining him.
I played T7 for a bit but none of the characters really "clicked" for me. I played Dragunov, Jack, Shaheen, and Law. They appealed to me a bit but i was never like "i NEED to play this character".
But with this guy i NEED to play him. He's literally the coolest shit ever.
When he plays with the knives in both hands after facing Law, he reminds me of a meme of a Brazilian with a knife.
The meme is called (knife ak-47 perfect for combat)(faca ak 47 perfeita para o combate)
EVERYONE was waiting for the Max Reacts for this trailer specifically.
Color edit to a red suit and he's him.
"I started with Eddy Gordo, he was doing capoeira and so was I at the time, so I was only playing as him."
"well that sucks (immediately clicks away)"
got a really good belly out of me, i'll give it up lmao
came here to say he reminds me of a mix of Kunimitsu and Noctis
but GOD DAMN ITS ALREADY RIPLEYS FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL?!
They got Vincent Cassel?! The Night Fox is back baby.
I love his version of Raven's undertaker throw. Definitely seems like he's from the same clan.
They're both UN agents. Raven, Master Raven, Victor, and Superior Raven.
He feels like one big Metal Gear reference to me. He's got Snake's pistol+knife CQC, AND Raiden's high-frequency blade.
