Hi The new sod laid at our new home seem to have developed fungus ( blight) . Please suggest any remedies to contain it. It’s spreading the entire lawn. I thought it was the heat which is browning the grass but I noticed some mushroom like things in the lawn
Grass type? Location? Watering schedule? How long ago was the sod installed? Average air temperatures? What makes you think it's blight? A mushroom isn't anything to be concerned about at all.
Thank you for the reply. pierce county, WA. I guess it’s Ryegrass. It was laid out 8 weeks ago. It’s on the side of the house and gets little bit of shade due to shadow of the fence and house. It was very green but a brown patch developed first and then slowly it expanded. Temperatures have been around 85-92 for the last month or so with dew in the mornings. I’m watering regularly
@@SrikanthPRABHA7 that doesn't help much. Brown patches can be caused by a wide variety of things from heat stress, to fungus, to insects, etc. Can you email me at pacificnorthwestlawns@gmail.com and send some pictures. An overall picture and some very close up pictures of the brown spots. Also your actually watering schedule. How long are you watering? How often? Once a week? Every day? How much water are you applying every time if you know? Honestly laying sod in the summer presents some challenges that can be difficult to overcome.
Hi, now the spring is around the corner, could you please give suggestions on lawn care. We live in PNW and my lawn has browned in many areas despite the decent rainfall. Don’t know if the lawn is dormant or dead or some kind of infection
It's likely just dormant. I have no idea of your grass type or location so it's difficult to give you "suggestions". East or West of the Cascades makes a big difference. There's plenty of videos to refer to I've made but they're focused on West of the cascades.
It's winter man. I'm not doing much in the lawn. In fact we just got a few inches of snow yesterday. I may not do as many videos this year though. I have some health issues as well as a family health issue.
