He has potential, but I am worried whoever drafts him will try the old throw into the fire and see what happens strategy. He needs seasoning, get him on a bench for a year or 2 and during that time upgrade offensive line and receivers, than put him in. I don’t trust the titans QB development. They don’t have a good track record of developing QBs and that’s why I think Willis is going to struggle. Willis is also older and is less league ready than Richardson who is only 21.

He's way more refined as a processor and as a decision maker than what he's given credit for and the current consensus on him. But he has really bad lower body mechanics which leads to really bad accuracy. But we've seen in other players that with the right coaching in the right infrastructure, accuracy can be improved on ( also with good work ethic which by all accounts Richardson has). He's my QB1 and I feel confident is saying that. Situation and infrastructure is everything for every prospect even for the guys that are viewed to have high floors

I semi-disagree. His IQ is a major problem. He’s very mediocre at reading defenses and this leads him to run A LOT when he can’t find a way to move the chains. It does work sometimes, but it could really hurt his longevity. He needs a coaching staff that can hone this kind of stuff if he wants a chance at being an NFL talent similar to Lamar Jackson or Cam Newton.

    • @Joshknowsball0

@@spartanv4335 I mean yea he's not refined as a processor or decision maker I hope that's not what you got from my original statement. I just think he's more developed in those aspects than the general public thinks rn. " Malik Willis 2.0" I can't take you seriously if you say that about Richardson because he's way more sound as a pure Quarterback mentality and ability wise. But he needs to work more on those aspects no doubt but showed a lot of progress reading coverage knowing where to go with the ball it just doesn't get there accurately from what I saw. I think The Lions are the perfect team for AR15. They don’t need him to start right away, they have a complete offense with one of the best OC’s in the league. It’s a very QB friendly offense and they could use Richardson like Taysom Hill for a season or two while he develops

Here is the problem. Now believe it or not I'm old enough to remember basically the entire existence of the NFL at this point clear as day like it just happened. Now there was a long standing tradition of not playing rookie QB even Dan Marino was made to sit and that was fine along with prudent.
It was understood that the NFL game was super hard and you needed to learn everything about it before going in specially as a quarterback rookies almost never saw the field unless you were a standout on defense or running back.
However when they started hanging out bigger and bigger and bigger contracts to rookies instead of veterans there became a demand of return on your investment and now they almost always try to start them early.
And that is literally why we have so many bus now because they're forcing these kids into a fight with wolves and they ain't ready.
You should have stayed in Florida and continue to work on his craft and skills for a few more years but since he didn't he now needs a NFL team that is going to be that patient and they aren't. So even if his work ethic is like Peyton Manning he's not ready.
Yes I know what happened with Josh Allen is an example to the rule but you have to look at that in context of the bigger picture and the fact it was the Buffalo bills. They have been horrible drafting quarterbacks and trying to put him in the fire so they finally decided to do The prudent thing and work with a kid. But that doesn't mean anyone's going to do it with this kid

What a horrible take.. The guy is built like a linebacker and runs like a WR/RB. More developmental tools used in the league now than when your good ol' days were. The guy can be a stud if you let him learn from game experience.

This guy sounds a lot like Akili Smith. The lack of accuracy is especially concerning. Also, what kind of offense did he run? Is he capable of reading defenses, or learning an NFL playbook that makes its college counterpart look like a coloring book? Whatever team that takes him will have to be patient, and have him sit behind a veteran who can mentor him, and have a coaching staff that has a strong record of successfully developing QB's.
