Then he gets the walkoff catch for the first win of the Dan Campbell era and he becomes a household name in Detroit. It's nice to see he's getting the respect he deserves.
Chargers fan here. You nailed Josh Palmer, he's been solid but not spectacular, he's probably reached his ceiling. We like Josh, but man, St. Brown or Nico Collins would've been golden. St. Brown I think is a bit better than Collins, but Collins hasn't reached his ceiling yet.
Other than Chase he is the next choice (I personally think Amon-Ra is the best of the bunch. Chase had that crazy rookie year playing with his college QB. They were like peas in the pod back in his first rookie training camp and was handed the WR1 spot. St Brown taken in the 4th round didn’t practice with the starters. He had to bide his time and let injury and bad performances by not only the starters but the 3rd and 4th receivers as well. Finally he got more and more playing time. if Penei wasn’t there at #7 overall and the Lions did take St Brown at 7 (people would think they were crazy…🤔..or Oakland). St Brown would have shown the world he was worth the 7 overall pick. It was Jared Goff throwing to Amon-Ra that started the franchise on the right path. If you were building a team in the nfl you may want Ja’Marr Chase OR Justin Jefferson as your wr 1. You can make a case for Amon-Ra too though. The man is the best WR playing the middle of the field.
