Your new in depth content is amazing. Your break downs are amazingly detailed but still easy to understand. Even for a German fan who didn’t grow up with football. Keep up the amazing work
I couldn't be more thankful to have found you a year ago. Although I'm German, I was completely hooked with your way of explaining and evaluating players, teams and games. You are one of the biggest reasons I became such a passionate football fan
The play on Inverted Cover 2 against Tennessee where he scrambles is honestly a good sign. Why I say that is, he saw thaf coverage before and held on to the balm too long, but this time he said "I don't know what to do, but ima make something happen" and he uses his elite legs. Honestly if he can come in and be early Jalen Hurts, he will be fine
He is nowhere near jalen hurts passing wise. I don’t know you claim a broken play is a good thing. We know he can run around and make a play, but he can’t read a defense and struggles mightily with accuracy. You’d like to see him get the easy stuff first.
Jalen Hurts leadership and his passing abilities and stats are leagues beyond that of Richardson. Richardson threw 17 touchdowns and 9 picks and ran for 650 and 9. So 3150 total yards, 26 touchdowns. Jalen Hurts his last year in college had 5,150 total yards and 52 touchdowns bro.
@@JaredHettler in fairness to Richardson, Hurts had 2 extra years of experience (he was in his 5th year of college ball and 2nd as a starter at OU) and faced easier defenses in the Big 12. Richardson will need more time to develop but I believe with his size and arm strength he has a higher ceiling than Hurts
@@b21r35 I think he has real potential but a higher ceiling than Hurts feels like a stretch. He had a higher ceiling than Hurts as a prospect, but I view your claim that Richardson has a higher ceiling than one of the NFL’s elite quarterbacks with skepticism.
usually i go into the draft having no clue who anyone is other than like 10 people (if that). but lately i have been watching your videos and they educate me on what the heck is going on with each draft class. it also makes the draft more enjoyable, when before, i hated it
I think the key is what is between these guy's ears. If a guy has the right mindset/attitude and is coachable and willing to listen and learn from those around him, and if he's fortunate enough to inherit the right situation he may be successful. If any of those things aren't true it's very possible he will, at minimum, struggle.
Out of any teams picking in the top 15, the Raiders would be best for him. I mean look what McDaniels did with Tom Brady. Plus his weapons would be Adams, Waller, Jacobs, and Renfrow. That would be a dream for any of the QBs in the draft.
He is actually pretty decent at reading the defense, he is inconsistent at times but he’s really young and got a lot better as the year went on and and got some experience to draw on. He’s rapidly growing and there were a lot of plays where he showed the ability to hold safeties with his eyes, go through progressions and make the check down when necessary, the ability to feel pressure and move with the pocket and finding the hole to step into while the receivers get open or bailing when the pocket breaks down. He actually has a tendency to try too often to stick around and make a big pass happen when he should use his athleticism and take what the defense is giving him. I think he will be Josh Allen’s arm talent with Lamar Jackson’s legs and athleticism. He is so humble and willing to learn and picks things up so quickly he literally makes improvements from quarter to quarter and rarely makes the same mistakes over and over. He adapts super quickly and I think will be a day one starter in Indy and will make week on week improvement that is visible and obvious to see as he adapts to nfl game speed and his mechanics and consistency get better and he improves in the short passing game
It all boils down to who can afford to take that risk. You said it, who is on the coaching staff, are there coaches who are good at developing Quarterbacks, does the scheme fit, is there a veteran who the rookie can watch? And also if the QB is coachable too that's also important. Josh Allen worked with Daboll and a competent staff developing him he did good. But then you have Zach Wilson who didn't have that and you see what happened.
As an Eagles fan, I was wrong about Hurts. I knew he had a higher ceiling because of his strength and running ability but for him to be where he is now with his accuracy and decision making is awesome to see. Dude just has a high motor to learn and get better. In saying that, I don't doubt any QB coming in anymore. I think they need to have the intelligence and drive to get better. If they don't then they'll be stuck where they're at coming in. And that is really hard to see when doing tape, etc... Really good take TFG, love this content!
Exactly what I think. I was kinda meh on Jalen when we got him, really thought he would do something in 2021, soured on him, then week 2 he won me back. Jalen's work ethic was undervalued by me and many others.
@@DankBirdGang52 Yeah, his mentality is just something you rarely see. I also think Johnson as a QB Coach and Steichen as a playcaller helped tremendously. In 2021 many players on the offense were struggling before we had those coaches. Not just Hurts
Yeah because our defense isn't bad enough, lets waste a 1st round pick on a "hope he pans out" developmental qb and maybe in 2 or 3 years we can be a good team. 🤦🏻♂️
im a texans fan who knows we have a lot more holes than getting a qb at 2 would fix. My hope is we get some of the staff from the eagles or 49ers (Who are good), trade down from 2, get AR from pick 12, and then whatever other pick we use for a defensive player, a wr or TE, and a future pick. our team needs several years to be in contention, which would coincide perfectly with letting AR take time to develop
Couldn't hit water if they were standing in the ocean had me dying. Great video as always Marcus, I'm excited to see how Levis & Richardson compare in a few years.
Marcus, you are not alone. Last year I watched a video by Brett Kollmann, where he analysed why his QB evaluation has been not as good as he wanted. I'm looking forward for your video. I'm learning quite a lot from the both of you.
Brett and this "guy" were completely brainwashed by the "prototypical" qb. Brett quickly saw he was off and changed his view . But this "guy" was so wrong on Lamar he was one step from waving a confederate flag. He kept doubling down on Lamar not being qb material, even after his MVP. Finally I guess he realized that he was either going to be a gossip columnist or an analyst.
This is an outrageously good video Marcus. Keep up the outstanding content. Our podcast is 3 Australian guys who love the Chargers. We've been watching your videos for a few years now and if you'd ever be keen to join our show in April-June to discuss a few draft prospects the Chargers might take/or have taken, we'd love to have you on. Thanks for what you do!
Now that my cowboys are out, it’s full blown draft szn, I’m gonna join your patreon real soon, I’ve been a lurker of yours for too long, definitely need to show my support. There’s been times I’ve considered trying my hand at some NFL related videos thanks to you, keep up the great work!
I think he needs to play, unless it’s a legend. I’d like to think he needs to play, I love Jordan love, I have no idea what he’s gonna be yet. It sucks, I still love trey lance i highkey think he’s a wayyy better talent than Brock purdy. Brock’s playing. That’s the difference.
I think Kevin O’Connell could develop a young qb really well. Kirk took a big leap forward in 1 year with him and kind of worked out some of his kinks until the last play of the season🤦🏻♂️
I am a subscriber but I saw the time of 27 minutes and thought, “yikes, let me find a Richardson breakdown that’s half the time.” The other channels I visited were so boring and poorly edited compared to your content that I came crawling back. And guess what, I wish this video was longer ❤
You missed his 2021 start against Georgia. Also, you break down all his technical abilities and what he is good at/lacking, but what holds Richardson back most is his mental state. He just goes to pieces when he makes a mistake. When the pressure is on, he makes his worst reads and worst throws. Anthony Richardson is an elite quarterback when his team is behind by 14 points and he's just collecting garbage time stats. This is his comfort zone. I think if you were to break down his footage and stats into different buckets of his team being up 7+, down 10+, and in between, you will see different quarterbacks. I think he needs a lot more game reps to overcome what holds him back mentally. He needed another year.
i watch you all the time but this vid was by far the best formula for a video you've ever used! I'm only 2 minutes in and I can already tell this is the type of video that will grow your channel! your talking directly to a wide audience, and wasted no time getting into it. you brought energy to your script and hooked the audience well. your knowledge will keep them, you just need to bring them! Keep it up! keep making your next video your best video...
This is the first video of yours that’s shown up on my timeline and I love your break down. I completely agree(as a Gators fan and someone who’s watched AR since HS). As I’ve heard Dan Orlovsky say, sometimes your great strengths is your biggest weakness. I hope he goes somewhere that can continue his development
I rarely watch football related videos that are this long, something about the organization of content and the precise breakdowns of certain plays kept me watching. I'm doing research for my dynasty league. I usually subscribe after I've seen multiple good videos, I have a feeling this was the first of many!
Great analysis! As a Seahawks fan I was 100% out on AR but now I see him broken down I think 1-3 years behind Geno is the best place for him. The negative plays you showed of him were also defensive wins or offensive breakdowns mostly. He handled them decently with improvement each time. Hawks have a lot of picks and if he falls to them. I, even with trades back I think they should go for it if his learning curve is as shown.
Hey there. Great video. As a Giants fan I can tell you two things: 1) This guy might be a venture capital risk worth taking at 25 if he's still there. 2) When someone said 'Danny Dimes' it started a misnomer. 'Dropping a dime' actually means 'ratting someone out' that is, dropping a dime into a phone and calling the cops. I get what folks think it means - throwing a 10 out of 10 pass. But that's not where that came from.
I just want to say something. It doesn’t really have anything to do with Anthony Richardson but more so pocket presence and a particular player that I saw take a huge step in pocket presence even as you said most players don’t. That player being Daniel Jones. People don’t take me saying “success” as me saying he played outstanding but a huge part of DJ success this season was due to his pocket presences. He didn’t put up huge numbers by any means but his turnovers being down was largely due to his pocket presence. Really enjoyed you touching on the topic of pocket presence in this video.
Absolutely worth it but he needs a young very creative Offensive Coordinator, don't ruin him by trying to make him some stationary Pocket Passer because that is not what he is. Instead, design a Offensive System that will allow him to use all his Physical Tools. He does need time to develop though
As someone who has watched him since pop Warner (he played with my little brother until graduation) and a Gator fan i will be honest in saying he has all the potential to be one of the top QBs in the league if given the right right system and weapons but just needs to get more consistent in his touch on the ball
"Raw toolsy quarterbacks" also often come from college teams where the pass catchers provide them no help. Josh Allen at Wyoming, Pat Mahomes at Texas Tech, Jordan Love at Utah State. I don't know if any of their college pass catchers are in the league whereas as "pro ready qbs" like Mac, Tua, and Burrow had Jamar Chase, Devonta Smith, Jerry Juedy, etc
Herbert is a fun recent example because on tape with the really passive offense he ran at Oregon, his few options despite his reads were checkdowns and the occasional deep shot that may miss. The funny part is in the NFL he exhibited the ability to process post-snap at a high level by his first season and he still had the athletic tools and arm. Along with cleaning his footwork up and navigating the pocket vs pressure. Sadly of course the offenses he's been saddled with at a pro level are near mirror images of conservative schemes he came up with in Oregon where most of his options from his quick reads were stick/curl routes and screens behind the sticks.
@@t4d0W Exactly. Herbert is never going to thrive in the same offense that Sean Payton ran with Drew Brees. Joe Lombardi would maybe work in Miami or New England, but the Chargers need to let Herbert play like Mahomes rather than Brees.
I want him to fall to #9 so badly because I'm hoping the panthers don't have to trade up to get him but i am completely sold. he seems like a hard worker, and his upside makes up for his downside (that can also be improved with training)
It’s crazy, this guy has a sky high ceiling. I’m talking all time great. It all comes down to his ego and how is he upstairs. Colts grab him at 4 and sit him for a year and let him develop.
First time coming across your page. As someone who watched about 90% of Richardson’s snaps this year, this is the most accurate analysis I’ve seen easily. Keep up the good work 💯
I am firm believer in athletic QBs. I agree that this young man is a generational athlete and after watching your video; I want the Colts to draft him. Being coachable in what I hope to be a great QB staff; he is worth that chance. If he is a bust fire everyone and start-over lol.
The problem with developmental players like AR15 is that the teams reaching for him usually suck. Josh Allen is the exception to the rule, and got lucky he went to a playoff team with good coaching
Florida really underutilized Richardson's running ability this year. It always seemed to be a last-resort kind of thing and against teams that had great coverage. With his low completion percentage and extreme athletic ability, it was odd that there weren't more options and reads in the playbook. The SEC has definitely transitioned to a more NFL-style system in recent years - but Richardson seems like he was recruited for a different offense and spent the whole season trying to get into a rhythm that never really came. Granted, the defense wasn't there to give him the opportunities he needed, but when it came down to shootouts he'd always come up short in the key moments.
love the breakdown. call me crazy, but as a Colts fan i’d love to take Richardson at #4 overall. We just got Steichen who has recently helped Herbert and Hurts develop and i’m sure he’d love to have somebody with rushing ability like Hurts. At this point i’d be happy with any of the top 4 quarterbacks though
I remember watching Lamar Jackson's last college season and hearing the commentary about him not being an NFL QB. I was incredulous that all of these analysts couldn't see what a baller he was. I am so glad the league is abandoning its obsession to find the next Tom Brady.
As an UF alum… IMO Napier was over his head in the SEC. The Gators had talent last season, but this is not about Napier. AR needs help and hopefully he is willing to learn. NO NFL QB is going to help him out, BUT good QB/OC coaching CAN make him pretty good. If Trey Lance can be drafted in the Top 5, AR can be a 1st round pick. He would have benefited staying at UF another season, BUT it would have given the scouts more to criticize. Staying would not have helped his draft stock. Good luck to AR!
Love your work. You raise a few points that I have not heard anywhere else. In general, many of the NFL franchises are too impatient to have a starter take three years to develop above average. That is why C.J Stroud is my bet for # 1 pick. He is the closest to being a starter at NFL level. There is too much talent in other positions for the high draft picks, Maybe Falcons might take a shot at him.
The fact that I see him look at more than one read on most plays is the only real thing people need to know about his NFL potential. There are SO many 1 read QB's out there that perform well because of their system and the players they have built for it...which will NOT exist at the next level.
Great breakdown of a polarizing prospect 👍 You have to take a chance on elite skillsets... IF Richardson has good character, football intelligence, and a decent work ethic, this kid can start in the league for years. Cash in that lottery ticket.... Top 10 pick, doesn't get past Carolina at #9.
Hit the nail on the head at the 10 minute mark. Being able to read the middle of the field and delivering. He's going to be "zoned" damn near every play because of his ability to get out of the pocket. I'd pair this kid up with a good TE and pray I could get a Pat Mahomes-lite.
You take him 1 overall and let him win games however he has to. Who is stopping him on the ground? Then scare the DBs and LBs to come up, making throwing easier.
The NBA went through this phase too after Kevin Garnett hit big. Suddenly everyone wanted a high school or very young player with length and upside but no proven production... it led to a lot of GMs getting fired
Gators fans were extremely frustrated by Anthony Richardson. They had a good oline and excellent running game, and after a AR disasterous INT, fans would be begging the Gators to run the ball more, in order to keep AR from costing us the game. Ask just about any Gators fan, and they will tell you that he should have returned for another season "to develop." Now he will be asked to start as an NFL QB, and he isn't ready, just like Blake Bortles.
Really wish he played in the Las Vegas bowl. The Oregon State defense is closer to an NFL scheme than most college teams, and would have provided a good opportunity to see how he processes. i.e. the Beavers completely derailed Caleb Williams while Penix shined against the Beavers in very poor weather. Penix is an NFL caliber QB, Williams isn't at this time.
You talk about Richardson bailing on the pocket against Kentucky around the 6:20 mark….but don’t mention/consider that he was pressured out by the defender when his lineman is forced into contact with him…within literally 2 seconds of him getting the snap…
Good lord some of the comments on this vid are pants-on-head stupid, I don't know how you deal with it all Marcus, lol. "This guy doesn't watch film" on a vid literally breaking down film... "Richardson is a bust" before playing a single game -- kinda like what was said by many of Herbert and Allen, for similar reasons... "White media again saying a black QB doesn't have it between the ears" on a vid where there are valid and evidence-based compliments and criticisms of AR's processing, reading, etc. This video is really great, and I'm optimistic as a Colts fan. This is elite content
I understand the appeal of an extremely athletic QB that allows you to open up the offense in a bunch of ways that a pure pocket passer can't. But there is confusion to what that means. Lamar Jackson is the best athlete on the field most of the time and will burn your D with his legs or arm. But he runs too much, opening himself to injury. Mahomes can and will run, but he is a passer first. Ultimately the biggest skill of an NFL QB is making good decisions. Every other skill should serve that one. Pocket movement, accuracy, arm strength, mobility, these don't help if you are constantly turning the ball over, running for less yards than just waiting for the play to develop, or ignoring wide open touchdowns. But, when you are up to draft and a top athlete of that class is available it is always worth considering taking them and developing them.
19 starts in 2 seasons, both ending 6 and 7. 2022 Sub 54% completion percentage 17 and 9 td to interception 2550 yards passing. Absolutely not worth the risk if you need a starter now. Got an above average starter that can bring him along, and the first 3 qbs are gone, I'd take a chance. But he is going to need a OC that is just this side of crazy.
I’ve seen almost all of Anthony Richardsons tape. (Live and On3) I can confidently say that will levis is someone who should be behind AR on draft boards. It doesn’t make sense why he would be ahead. The only reason Levis is high is because of his ceiling. AR’s ceiling is infinite while Levis’ ceiling is good but not great. Still a really good ceiling though. The floor of Levis is not that great. But then again AR’s floor is down in the underworld. I’d much prefer to get a super high ceiling project Quarterback than a high-ish ceiling Project Quarterback with a Jameis Winston floor.
it’s actually really easy to understand why all the top QBs now were once the “toolsy” “high-risk” prospects. it’s because QBs are severely underdrafted in the NFL. a high end QB on a rookie contract is the biggest cheat code in the sport. It’s worth taking a chance on the Trey Lances of the world because if they hit, they REALLY hit. The surplus value solves the rest of the problems on your roster if you go about it right. We forget about the ones that don’t work out. But having a QB that doesn’t work out is a fine risk to take for a top 5 QB playing for 20% of the value he’s generating. If he sucks, you end up towards the top of the draft and try again next year. When you find the right guy, then you go out and trade for AJ Brown. You go out and trade for Stefon Diggs. Teams should be drafting QBs all over the place, even if they already have a mid level QB. The reason they don’t is because GMs and head coaches are contract workers. They need to produce a certain level and the high variance of drafting QBs exposes them to the low floor. They’re more afraid of failure than they’re eager to win because they want to keep their job.
Anthony Richardson is the epitome of the player that will be labeled a “risky” QB pick. the truth is that it’s very hard to justify any QB as a high risk when you consider how high the payout is when it works. you’re drafting the wide range of outcomes because hitting on QB is what vaults you from the bottom of the league to the top.
Went to the Florida-Florida State game this year.AR15 gave a half dozen examples why he should be a top 10 pick and another half dozen for why you should stay as far away as possible during that game.
I've been seeing a lot of mock drafts listing him as the Raiders 1st round pick. This year, Carr's accuracy fell. His pocket presence was awful. And his post-snap processor looked broken. So seeing Richardson have the same weaknesses is troubling. But Richardson's ability to run could open up the offense in a way that Carr couldn't. His laser arm could fix the Raider red zone woes as well. If the Raiders can get him at 7 or trade down for more picks (This roster needs a lot more talent on the defensive side of the ball) it's either going to be an extraordinary boom or a tremendous bust for the silver and black. After 20 years of losing, what does this franchise even have to lose... Right?
Really enjoyed this breakdown of subtleties on AR. Very well done. I feel like I learned a few things. I’m new to the channel and heard you compare Michael Wilson to Davante Adams on the WR breakdowns and thought you might be crazy.😁
Vikings should talk with Kirk about his no trade & see if the JETS or PANTHERS would take him for a 1rst rounder. Then vikings could draft RICHARDSON & another WR to compliment JJ. Both of those teams are a good QB away from making the playoffs
Such an interesting Time we live in where Qb records in college seem to be meaningless. What on earth makes Anthony Richardson a first round talent? He lost head to head to Hooker. Hooker beat by far the more top 25 team's while Richardson just failed down the stretch run incredibly. Yet some how the games played and win loss records have zero impact on the draft. It's a strange world we live in. What next Tanner Mckee a 1-9 in conference Qb goes in round 1? That conference record really impresses me....i mean that one game he won showed enough promise to get drafted in round 1....it's Ludacris. The stupidity level is at an all time high.
The step up throwing. The reason I believe he went outside is because both defender were inside ….. he might have been trying to change the angle of throw easier even if it was not planted feet. That’s actually quick thinking to calculate angles and space.
It’s also because of Brian Dabol. That’s why Allen flourished. Notice what happened this year. He regressed somewhat with Dabol being gone. It depends on who drafts Richardson.
As a Gators fan I cant believe he is entering the draft, he has lots of potential but couldn’t put a single cohesive game together all of last season in college and is now heading to the nfl!
Fantastic breakdown, thanks! I'm hoping the Seahawks take him at #5, because they are an ideal situation for him and can develop him as well as anyone. Geno Smith blossomed this year in Seattle and would be a great mentor to AR, like Alex Smith was to Mahomes.
As a Florida Gators football fan myself, I believe AR-15 needs one more year or be a late draft pick. While he has potential, he needs more time to develop with the right coaching staff. Maybe he’ll go round 3 to the jets if for whatever dumb reason they keep Zac Wilson or they make Mike White the starter and he goes down they’ll put in Richardson.
@@CETGale '22 GA could make any good qb look awful. I think Max duggan is a good qb but a few playmakers on TCU can't stop a team as stacked as georgia
I think he could fit nice with the Saints offense, Pete Carmichael could get really creative with him, Chris Olave an Taysom Hill on the field at the same time, but he would have to fall to the 2nd round before I'd be comfortable picking him..
Great Video. I see a lot of similarities in Justin Fields and Richardson. I think in hindsight Ohio state supporting cast may have masked some of Fields struggles that got exposed early on in the nfl. Overall though I think their tools(mobility, Arm talent, size, etc) are very similar so I figure Richardson will project to the NFL early on like fields as well. May take some time for him to adjust and as a team you’ll be banking on him to develop his processing while becoming more consistent with his arm. As you said truly a boom or bust prospect though his running ability will still likely give him a higher floor than guys like Mayfield and Darnold had.
Scouts have a template that they use for each player and if they don't fit a lot of guys get overlooked. So, you just can't look at height and weight which everyone can see but there are other intangibles that make a great athlete.
There is nobody, and I really mean absolutely nobody that covers draft prospects, mock drafts, and the draft overall than TFG. When listening to his mocks or stuff like this I genuinely think he is a scout for a team or something and that he could pull it off being a GM 😂
The key to quarterbacking in the NFL is talent and fearlessness tempered by a complete understanding of your opponent and a quantum entanglement with your skilled position players. Where the ball will be on every route in relation to the defender. Piece of cake.
Sounds a lot like Jamarcus Russell coming out of LSU. The arm papered over so many cracks. As a Raiders fan, I’m praying that we don’t mortgage future draft picks to move up for him.
Richardson just needs time. He got very little attention from Dan Mullen during his time. It’s a big reason why Richardson had a lot of flaws in his first season as a starter. But he’s got that ability, he’s made the plays you definitely want to see from an NFL QB, but he needs time to be consistent in his play overall. It’s why I think he should go to a team like the Vikings(which I’m hoping since I’m a fan of them), with a young offensive minded coach that can develop him properly and also a veteran QB that’s will allow him the opportunity to not feel the pressure of starting early. A guy he is compared to a lot is Will Levis, Levis has many of the same issues of coverage reading and inconsistency, but is in my opinion set up for failure because people are overwhelmingly overrating him in the same way Zach Wilson was a couple years ago(although he doesn’t have quite the physical tools of Wilson or Richardson). If Richardson does get this chance he will honestly turn out so much better and likely be on the same developmental track of Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, among other Uber athletic QBs in the league today.
Anthony Richardson is the type of quarterback that scares you if he's going against your team, and scares you if he's on your team
Dead
I don’t think I’ve ever been afraid of him and I think most SEC fanbases will say the same 😂

With the 32nd pick of the 2023 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens select Anthony Richardson, QB from Florida
I doubt the Steelers will trade in-division for that. Especially considering the point you’re alluding to.
He's worth a late first for that 5th year option.
Would have to be 31st for that fifth year option this year bud.
He’s got an agent right?
Lmao he would be the perfect Lamar replacement
Excited to hear your breakdown on Levis
(I wonder if it will be hard not to be a little bias after what he's done for your Houston Oilers)
Levis is a boom or bust. He’s either gonna be Josh Allen or he’s gonna be Zach Wilson
@@incognitoburrito6006 That's exactly where I think he would go. Get a bridge QB like Brisset if Richardson isn't ready.
@@incognitoburrito6006no the best for him is the colts and with Shane Steichen who helped develop Jalen hurts
These breakdowns are absolutely amazing and are needed. Please keep doing the amazing work you do man. Definitely looking forward to your future work.
Thank you!
Perfect guy to sit behind Geno for a year or two!
Yeah because our defense isn't bad enough, lets waste a 1st round pick on a "hope he pans out" developmental qb and maybe in 2 or 3 years we can be a good team. 🤦🏻♂️
@@jacesmith7038 Ideally i would hope we could get him at 20 but I don’t see that happening so they probably won’t draft him
im a texans fan who knows we have a lot more holes than getting a qb at 2 would fix.
Appreciate the direct, no nonsense content and breakdowns you provide. All relevant, no fluff, straight to the point. Thanks!
extremely high level content, wish i could support more financially but i'll always like and watch!
Thank you for this Marcus. This takes time and can be boring going through film when you have to dig to find what you’re looking for!
After the Colts signed Minshew, I'm guessing they'll draft AR. Seems like the perfect destination at this point.
You guessed it
As a jags fan I am not used to having a low pick, so I am so excited to learn about more under the radar prospects from your vids.
low pick ? he could legit go top 5-10
@@malteengelke3311reading comprehension
@@malteengelke3311 I was saying in general lol- not with Richardson.
Jags are so bad lmao lions so much better
@@bastard342 There's no way you actually think that
In my opinion Richardson has potential but is a project meaning he’ll need time to develop
I hope he makes it big time in the league
I would love my Vikings to get him. Would be perfect to sit behind and learn from Kirk for a year or 2
I love that idea!
I want him to go someone like that with good infrastructure and doesn't have to be a day 1 starter
Yes, 100 % agreed
I am a subscriber but I saw the time of 27 minutes and thought, “yikes, let me find a Richardson breakdown that’s half the time.” The other channels I visited were so boring and poorly edited compared to your content that I came crawling back. And guess what, I wish this video was longer ❤
This comment took a turn for the better 😂
Glad you enjoyed!!!
Thanks man!!
Welcome aboard!
Let’s go! So hyped for draft season
So excited for draft season. Keep up the great work!
He does need time to develop though
never thought you'd have a series even better than your deep dives, keep it up man
Richardson is probably worth a late first or early second round pick. He needs a good OC and QB coach to tutor him.
His potential will get him in the top 15
@@IMTROLLINGYOU99 lol no
As someone who has watched him since pop Warner (he played with my little brother until graduation) and a Gator fan i will be honest in saying he has all the potential to be one of the top QBs in the league if given the right right system and weapons but just needs to get more consistent in his touch on the ball
Too bad the Panthers traded their only good WR and numerous picks
Joe Lombardi would maybe work in Miami or New England, but the Chargers need to let Herbert play like Mahomes rather than Brees.
yeah he really didn’t have much help pearsal or shorter was his best receiver all year and neither of them are particularly all that
I want him to fall to #9 so badly because I'm hoping the panthers don't have to trade up to get him but i am completely sold. he seems like a hard worker, and his upside makes up for his downside (that can also be improved with training)
Keep up the good work 💯
Thank you!
I am firm believer in athletic QBs. I agree that this young man is a generational athlete and after watching your video; I want the Colts to draft him. Being coachable in what I hope to be a great QB staff; he is worth that chance. If he is a bust fire everyone and start-over lol.
Let's Go Colts!!!
Really good breakdown. Earned a sub. I think Richardson is gonna end up being the best QB of the draft
I know the lions have more pressing needs but I love the idea of sitting him behind goff for 1-2 years to develop
Same with the Vikings
This is exactly what he needs. He needs to sit for a good 2-3 years and learn.
Sorry to tell u but his coming to Carolina if not him it’s shroud
Most of the best QBs in NFL history started out on the bench.
Love the video, always appreciate videos that aren’t afraid of being critical of the prospect in question
The problem with developmental players like AR15 is that the teams reaching for him usually suck. Josh Allen is the exception to the rule, and got lucky he went to a playoff team with good coaching
Lions 🙏
Florida really underutilized Richardson's running ability this year. It always seemed to be a last-resort kind of thing and against teams that had great coverage. With his low completion percentage and extreme athletic ability, it was odd that there weren't more options and reads in the playbook. The SEC has definitely transitioned to a more NFL-style system in recent years - but Richardson seems like he was recruited for a different offense and spent the whole season trying to get into a rhythm that never really came. Granted, the defense wasn't there to give him the opportunities he needed, but when it came down to shootouts he'd always come up short in the key moments.
Great video. AR is definitely my favorite qb in the class, even tho he isn’t the best
If you're gonna take a risky quarterback, you NEED to make sure you have the talent to support him, along with good coaching and play calling.
love the breakdown. call me crazy, but as a Colts fan i’d love to take Richardson at #4 overall. We just got Steichen who has recently helped Herbert and Hurts develop and i’m sure he’d love to have somebody with rushing ability like Hurts. At this point i’d be happy with any of the top 4 quarterbacks though
You got your wish man!
I remember watching Lamar Jackson's last college season and hearing the commentary about him not being an NFL QB. I was incredulous that all of these analysts couldn't see what a baller he was. I am so glad the league is abandoning its obsession to find the next Tom Brady.
Or next Peyton Manning. We are never going to see those two again.
As a Panthers fan, I really hope we don’t regret passing on him. I wish him well, but Bryce better be better.
Great breakdown of a polarizing prospect 👍
You have to take a chance on elite skillsets...
I’d love to have him on the Hawks and I can see them choose him with our “free” pick at 20
The NBA went through this phase too after Kevin Garnett hit big.
Great content. Your channel is one of the best on TH-cam. Thank you for your hard work.
Love your vids. The quality of your videos are amazing, what camera and mic do you use?
Now that you watched a ton of Florida film. What’s your take on their LT Richard Gouraige? i think he’s vastly underrated, great pass protector.
Was paying close attention to him. Thought he was super average, excited to see him in Mobile next week tho.
Thank you!
2022
Sub 54% completion percentage
17 and 9 td to interception
2550 yards passing.
Absolutely not worth the risk if you need a starter now.
Got an above average starter that can bring him along, and the first 3 qbs are gone, I'd take a chance. But he is going to need a OC that is just this side of crazy.
Indy definitely doesn’t need a starter ASAP. They aren’t a playoff team, especially now with JT wanting out.
Right?
What will AR and Jonathan Taylor in the backfield give a team? Appreciate the video, keep them coming.
If I’m one of these teams picking in the top 10 and need a QB. I’m taking AR. He’s gonna be a superstar.
Way too risky to waste a top 10 pick on. We've seen QBs like him become busts 80 percent of the time.
Shows arm confidence too.
Love to see Vikings get him and let Justin Jefferson make him look good till he is good. Like diggs did for Allen.
You need to watch the Seahawks defense last year. If we dont strengthen our defense
Devon witherspoon
As a Florida Gators football fan myself, I believe AR-15 needs one more year or be a late draft pick. While he has potential, he needs more time to develop with the right coaching staff. Maybe he’ll go round 3 to the jets if for whatever dumb reason they keep Zac Wilson or they make Mike White the starter and he goes down they’ll put in Richardson.
He's 6'4" and 230lbs. Dude is a beast physically and looks like he has the right tools to succeed.
Yes BUT everytime he played the Ga Bulldogs they would proceed to planted him like a tree and intercepted him like it was illegal.........
He is missing a big tool. Between the ears
If I can’t get Young or Stroud , Ill wait till the middle-late rounds for projects, or just wait till next year. Hope to get Williams.
If he can find touch I think that’ll help his accuracy problem but he is absolutely a project that I hope my team wants to work on lol
The key to quarterbacking in the NFL is talent and fearlessness tempered by a complete understanding of your opponent and a quantum entanglement with your skilled position players.
Where the ball will be on every route in relation to the defender.
Piece of cake.
what an awesome video markus!! getting that patreon now!
The thing is everyone wants them to go to another team but now he’s with the colts so he has to work with what he has for he’s rookie contact
Him and JT in the backfield would be dangerous
