This game was FOR FarCry fans. The ones that understand the vibe. This game's not the best in other aspects, FC4 did it better, but what holds this franchise together is the vibe of it.

I wish that they showed more humanity within the cultists like this. It would've been cool to find them drinking together and cracking jokes. It would make you feel worse for killing them
I'm not sure they're allowed to drink, but I did see them playfully engaging with their dogs before...also there's a "sinner" hanging on the tree above these guys as a reminder.

That's exactly how cults works irl. They making you feel good and safe among them and after that, a herd feeling comes out, so you can be manipulated easily.
I've never seen them playing Help me Faith, but I saw one group playing Oh John, and another playing guitar while a girl sang Oh the Bilss. They were all surrounded by the bodies of civilians, so I made sure to torch them all.

Father was right in his message, there was no brainwashing just a call to attention. The game goes on for 30 hours showing you cartoonishly evil stuff (like in the video how theres a guy hanging because reasons? evil gonna evil amirite) to try and deflect from the fact. Father was right and Faith was awesome.

I just discovered this on my last playthrough of this game. He was way off in a high corner of Jacobs region. I was genuinely surprised by it because I hadn't come across this the dozen times I've beaten the game.

While I absolutely love this little detail, I hate how Ubisoft ruined it by making it able to have random events around it. Like, the "baptism" ruining the aura of him singing is just sad. Imagine if they had done it like in RDR2 (and yes, I know that game came out later than FC5, just as an example)

Far Cry 5 is easily one of my most favorite games of all time, one the first FPS games I've played that led me to what I play now and gave me some very good memories
Something important is to remember the Peggie’s are citizens of the valley too. Look at that guys haircut its the same as one of the classic drinking characters that you can find in the game.
Joseph wasn't crazy and wasn't a bad guy either, he was trynna warn the people in the island to seek shelter upon him and reunite with him without any killing, he knew a missile was coming towards his island and end it all what he build, thanks to the asshole of bad guy in far cry 4 that we can know it was his fault for destroying Joseph Seed island and Joseph knew it was going to happen so was guided by the power of his knowledge to safe the innocent from the upcoming destruction, in the end of the game we see that ourselves was in the wrong side, we lost everything just to end up everything being true about him what he was saying etc, and yes he knew exactly how it will happen, yes he did killing, etc and he regret what he did, cuz wasn't the form of communication, but the people didn't want to listen and they were going to kill him for no reason, he wasn't killing anyone in the beginning, he was peacefully spreading the message he knew to safe others, once the main character arrived just to put him arrested, everything fall down in ashes, I mean how you feel you being all right all along and you don't kill anyone but trying talk your way to them so they can listen, and all of a sudden they want you arrested or dead, with makes no sense as it was the truth all along, now that is why he felt angry and end up killing people, cuz they were ungrateful of their salvation, he was just trying warn people, he did nicely, till they attacked him so he started killing, not his fault he killed people, once you start a killing he will ended somehow, the main character and the others were the real villains, first of all, those people and the island it wasn't belong to them they were just like visitors, the island was Joseph island in the first place, in the end we can see he wanted to done the killing and don't kill anymore and was loving and said you can just walk away and we can make peace, so Joseph wasn't that bad as we thought, as he didn't like to kill anyone in the first place, he just wanted his island to be his and create peace and they don't have to kill anyone anymore, the invaders were us when we started playing the game, there is some things when I was playing the game that it was deep about the cult, it wasn't just a cult, neither villains, people think that villains are the people that want to make a difference in the world we living with we don't know that they are the true heroes, this is the perspective of me of how I see the game and the cult as not as a threat of a chance to safe someone from dying.

There is another version of this song uploaded on OST but a female is singing it instead, It's one of the cult songs. I also love FC5 sounds and the game to death as well

There were at least two cultist I saw walking down a road talking sweetly to their bulldogs...Man did I feel bad when I had to off both of them. Especially the dog who just didn't understand that its owner was complicit in kidnapping, torture, forced drug use, brainwashing, wanton destruction and murder.
to me this is the last good Far Cry game. New Dawn and 6 feel like soulless dumpster fires, empty wastelands, with nothing to do but grind and suffer and there's no pleasure from exploration, a defining factor of open worlded games. Ubisoft managed to fuck up all of their recent titles worldspaces by making them overbloated and most of all, BORING they did the basics with this game and it worked out great, by basics I mean mildly interesting characters dotted throughout the map, encouters like this, a plotline that made me KINDA care and a very mid level design. Ah, I forgot, there is the obligatory charismatic/crazy Far Cry villain, I really liked religious snotty boy, unlike what they did with knockoff Gus Fring. I'm really not hyped or hopeful for Far Cry 7, if that ever comes to be, Ubisoft probably will retry the Far Cry 3 formula and fail in doing so, like the clusterfuck that is 6.

The cult's goals are good but the methods they use to achieve them is unjustifiable.

This event is so rare, i played through FC5 countless times and only seen it once.. What a unique and amazing experience Far Cry 5 indeed is!
